the american south is the most racially diverse and poorest region of the united states, and any political sentiment that treats the south is stupid or expendable is inherently racist and classist. a lot of y'all are racist and classist. the south is also the heart of american culture. argue with a wall. you cannot deny that everybody in the entire world does not emulate artists from atlanta. there is vested interest in keeping the south poor and uneducated BECAUSE this is the most racially diverse region in this country. if you actually give a fuck about progress, you would fight for the south, not mock us.

Holy moly!! They’re called hickory horned devils. Really excellent. Despite all the scary-looking spines, they do not sting and are safe to (gently) handle :)

Not gonna lie this makes me a bit irritated. Here's the real version of this photo:

Instead of a cutesie reference to film censorship it was an explicit statement of defiance of Maryland's criminalization gay sex, which was not repealed until 2002. This wasn't a guy saying "Oh they can't put what I do in the movies according to a completely voluntary industry code" he was saying "The State of Maryland wants to put me in jail for being gay and having gay sex."

It wasn't a guy being cheeky about sex in an ambiguous, cute way. It was a man stating, in no uncertain terms, that a whole state of the United States considered him a criminal for being homosexual.

the same sentiment goes for words like "theyfab" by the way. even if this post is primarily about misogyny, making up words to mock nonbinary persons who "post femininely" or "don't pass" or whatever is transphobic (and dareisay still somewhat misogynistic to denote someone as "girly" for the way they post) and still stems from the same general source. especially when it's used in the context that I usually see it used, wherein the target has not posted about their gender at birth at all and people on here still assume "afab" because they post about "girly" topics (or use they/them at all; there's definitely a weird trend on here where people just assume somebody using gender neutral pronouns must be afab). Cut from the same cloth, same shit different toilet. you go wash your blog out with soap too.
