He didn’t appear to care about what Suzie saying but he still listened for some reason. "Gotham is a toilet of a town, why on Earth would you move here unless you have a thing for off the charts crime rates? I really don’t care but I’m still wondering why you moved here.."

"Oh well, our family has a tailoring business up in Canada and a new store has opened up here in Gotham and my father sent Len and I to look after and run it." Why her father had decided to do that Suzie didn't really know. The only one who showed any interest in the business was Suzie, not Len. Then again, where one twin went the other followed. "I should probably go find him, before he starts a fight or lights something on fire or something."

Suzie shifted around in her seat. What if the doctor was right? What if Len only wanted her to be happy with him, and not with anyone else? No…he wasn’t like that. He loved her. He truly did. “You don’t know Len like I do.” She said stubbornly, refusing to believe Len was a bad person. “He…he’s moody and complicated.”

"Suzanne. Listen to me. I do know Len, I’ve talked to hundreds of Lens and I’ve talked to hundreds of Suzie, I know Len more than you know Len. I know how Lens work, and he is jealous and stubborn. He doesn’t have a pure and true love for you, his love is selfish and conceded. You’re hysteric because of him. He’s moody but incredibly simple.”

Suzie gripped her hands and shook her head, tears rolling down her cheeks. "No! No no no no no you're wrong! He does love me! He does he does he does! He always has, he told me!"

Suzie had been expecting that question, but she doubted her answer would satisfy Zelda. “Your dad and I…we had a complicated relationship. There were issues and…well, some of them couldn’t be resolved very easily unfortunately. But, I’m in a better place than when I last saw him, so I just wanted to check up on him.”

Zelda was indeed dissatisfied with the answer Suzie provided, and it was clear in her facial expression. “Whatever.. Ed said something else but okay.” As a kid Eddie would rant to Zelda not thinking she understood, she heard some terrible things about her brother. “Well, he should be back soon and I can bare this awkward situation with alcohol and not tea.”

"Yeah, that's me." Suzie smiled nervously. "I uh, I actually...um..." She swallowed. "I just...I just wanted to see you and your dad."

"Why am I even here if you care more about Len than you care about me?" (because whyy not?)

"Eddie, I do care about you too. It’s just that…I can’t just stop caring about Len after all of these years.”

Suzie understood, more than she wanted to. This has happened before, and she suspected that it will happen again and again. She tried to put on a brave face. “Ok.” She said weakly. “I understand. You need to focus on you and that’s fine, that’s important. Just…let me know how it goes, ok?”

Eddie pulled her into a tight hug, his breathing was sporadic to resist from crying. “I love you Suzie.” Eddie didn’t want to leave her but he also didn’t want to go through another day feeling second best. “I will..” He didn’t want to let go of her, she was his happiness but the fact that he could let go says enough.

Suzie held his face in her hands and forced herself to smile. "Look after yourself Eddie, I won't be there to do it for you." She joked. She swallowed heavily. "I love you too."

Suzie didn’t have an answer for him. “Len, he…he only wants me to be happy.” Even Suzie could hear how unsure she sounded. “He told me himself, he said that he hates seeing me sad and would do anything for me to be happy.”

"Len only wants you to be happy if it has something to do with him. If you’re happy with another man he won’t like that, you’ll have to deal with that if you want to live your own life. He did threaten to run away when you were going to a hospital to become mentally stable, therefore he contradicted himself."
