Okay so one thing I noticed when doing a deep dive into year one today:

WHO IS CHEN-STEPHENS AND WHY DO WE NEVER MEET HIM?

WHY ISN’T HE SITTING BETWEEN BITTY AND JACK LATER IN THE YEAR?

WHERE IS #76 CHEN-STEPHENS?

“Chen-Stephens, come stand over here,” Johnson insisted. “Next to Einhardt.”

“Uh, why can’t I sit in my spot?”

“Because you’ll be in the frame if you do and Ollie and Wicks have already filled the roles of background characters.”

“…Honestly, Johnson, I have no fucking idea what you’re talking about most of the time.”

“Just trust me on this,” Johnson replied without turning around.

Chen-Stephens grimaced as the coaches came into the room, but he crossed the room to the other side as he was told. As the coaches started talking, he dimly tried to recall practice from earlier, but for some reason, nothing was coming into his mind.

He couldn’t seem to remember anything.

“Hey, Johnson, what’s my first name again?” he asked, turning to the goalie, but everyone else was already filing out of the locker room.

Chen-Stephens shook his head, trying to clear the cobwebs of confusion before following the rest of the guys out. By the time he was on the ice, he’d forgotten everything that had just happened.
