Sparring Time|| Izzy & Bull
overtureofchaos:
Isabella was frustrated. Every visit from Matt meant she was being scolded for her hope. Frankly, she was tired of it. Izzy knew she had Matt to solely thank for being alive but on the other hand, Matt was the reason she lived in a well-furnished prison with a pool. Turning the garage into a makeshift gym was nice and it gave something for her and Gemma to do when they had downtime. Most days there really was nothing to worry about. It had been five years since she’d been brought to Dallas and every day Izzy would search for clues to whether or not the cartels were still looking for her. The hope was she died in the desert like Alejandro.
The thought made her shiver. Sparring with Gemma and learning how to protect herself in the event anyone did come after she was really the best thing. Bull liked to watch when they would come over. Matt would do his thing but it never failed he would get a phone call and be dragged away from the kitchen table and the pictures. Angered by the routine she was thankful when Gem asked her to spar and more thankful when Bull volunteered. No matter how many times she’d asked Matt he would always decline citing his age or desire to not hurt her. Some days she had to wonder if he noticed her at all as a grown woman or if she would always be that catatonic little girl on the Mexican border?
“Really Bull?” You could hear the excitement in her voice. “I am so ready for this. Don’t hate me if I kick your ass just a little, okay?”
@theycallmethebull
Bull could tell that she was struggling more lately, and honestly how could she not? She wasn't just trapped in this house, no matter how nice it was, and had no freedoms, on top of that she was still being used by the government as if they had never forgiven her for not dying like Alejandro. Bull hadn't met the man, joining the team after his death. The man was a legend as far as anyone was concerned and even as a ghost he still lingered in every corner. Though he was sure the man would never admit it, he could sense it had changed Matt. Not only had he seen someone he care for killed he had risked everything to save this young woman, despite a direct order to kill her. Sadly Matt was still paying the price for fuck you. Of course, Isabella was paying for it as well, and while he wasn't sure she knew Bull was aware that Matt was working on taking down her father. Once the big man was down it might be safe for Isabella to rejoin the land of the living.
As much as Alejandro was a ghost so was the young woman before him. Bull was sure if it wasn't for Gemma with her similar experiences and doing all she could to instill normalcy Isabella might have gone insane. Watching her spar with Gemma he could see that she was getting too aware of Gem's attacks, she needed the surprise to keep her on her toes. Matt kept turning her down and maybe that's why she never asked him, but it still hurt a little. He was a nice guy, he would spar with her, but if she wasn't going to ask, well then he would.
When he heard the excitement in her voice his smile grew wide. "Yeah I'm serious, I'm not an old man like Matt." Laughing he turned to Gem so she could put the gloves on him. Letting out a deep laugh, "Oh you're going to kick my ass, ok little one, you're on." Gemma shook her head, "Between the two of you, Lord help me." Putting the gloves on him, she stepped back. "Don't hold back," she said and winked at Izzy, "And I'm talking to her, you're going down." Bull shook his head, smiling wide. "Bring it on."

Oscar, though he hated that name, stood tall as he was addressed by his commanding officer. He was being sent on a special assignment, a joint task force with the CIA. Biting back a smile that threated to bring out his dimples he nodded, his head down in humility or so it would seem. Truthfully, he was excited, the CIA operated on a different set of guidelines and he was being given permission to work outside the box as it were. Bull, his preferred name, was going to be part of special force that guarded the daughter of Mexican cartel leader Carlos Reyes. Right now, Reyes thought his daughter dead and they wanted to keep it that way. The worry was that any enemy cartel could find out that she was indeed not dead and then sadly the girl would wish for it. The first time he met Isabella he knew why she was so special. She was full of life and an attitude to match and yet she was innocent. It was easy for him to want to protect her, and soon those feelings turned into more. He knew she didn’t feel the same, could see the way she looked at Matt, though why he didn’t get. Bull would keep his feelings to himself, besides it would be inappropriate anyway. The more time he spent with her the harder it became to think clearly around her. It didn’t help that randomly she would strip down and jump in the pool. On the other hand, that was a relief because the water was cold and that was helpful.
Recently Gemma had taken to teaching Isabella sparring, and he knew the girl was looking to spar with more than just her instructor. While he didn’t want to hurt her, he wasn’t so sure he would after watching her a few times. She was a natural at it, and when she caught him watching she smiled, almost as if saying I dare you. That’s all it took for him though, without a word he tapped Gemma’s shoulder. “Tag me in, let’s see what she’s got.” Gemma arched a brow, glancing at Isabella who seemed excited as well. Shrugging up a shoulder she let out a soft chuckle. “Not sure who I should be worried for, her or you for taking her on?” Stepping away she sat down to watch, curious about this battle of wills.
Lights Out || Bull and Eva
It was close to the end of his shift and he was feeling restless, but more than restless he was agitated and that was never a good sign. If asked why he was feeling the way he was he wouldn’t be able to put his finger on it, but it probably had to do with the fact that some of the doctors here made him feel like he was worthless. Oscar Bulworth, or Bull as he preferred to be called was a good orderly, well he appeared good on the surface. The truth was that he was anything but good, the male patients feared him and the female patients either loved him or hated him. Bull had a roaming hand and an amazing habit to do things out of the sight of authority. Not that the authority at Glass Lake Asylum would do much, but there were still some decent staff members left. Walking the halls as he checked the locks for the evening he found his fist clenching and unclenching, he needed something or rather someone to release on. Most of the patients were out for the night, but a few were breaking the rules and still awake, and that’s where he would start. He’d either find a pretty little thing willing to do whatever he wanted to get out of trouble or he’d find a pretty little thing not willing to do anything. A smile slowly formed on his lips, tonight he was leaning towards the unwilling.
Pausing outside a few doors he listened for noise, until he found what he wanted. He could hear her inside whispering something, probably making up some new sickness and by morning she’d be seeking out the doctor again. Cracking his knuckles he chuckled and went for the key, he’d help her out, give her something to be upset about. Of course he’d play the dutiful orderly first. Wiping the smile from his lips he opened the door and quickly closed it behind him. “Now it’s way past lights out, what are you still doing up?” Coming closer to her he rested one hand on his hip and the other reached over to run knuckles down her arm, her white skin striking in the darkness. Sliding his fingers over her chest he made his intentions known. “Anything I can help with?”

The changes in her life were not bad but there definitely was a lot going on. Mikey had been deployed again even though he’d seemed adamant about sticking around for a while. Zach was on one of his tangents where he stayed away from the family. Jasper was the same as always though he seemed to have less time in his life now that he was finally dating. Phillip was the biggest change now that he and the girls were living with her. As much as she loved them, it left little room for her and Bull to spend time together and his work had him gone for long stretches so he wasn’t even coming in to Caged as often. It was killing her so when she heard he sweet voice Riley damn near jumped the counter. When he wrapped his arm around her she felt her knee give a little. It had been so long since they just gotten to be alone together. It wasn’t even about the sex – he was her best friend aside from Gus and she missed his company.
There was no way Riley was going to say no. Kissing him back her hand went to his cheek as her own flushed. “How did you manage to get away from the tyrant boss?” She had to laugh. Bull knew she was kidding. Despite her upbringing Riley had a lot of respect for Kennedy Mitchell. He may have done bad things but he had a code he lived by and that never faltered. Plus he was like a father to Bull and meant a lot to him. She couldn’t hate on Kennedy any more than she’d want Bull to hate on Jonathan Otis. “I never want to be the one that makes you cry. Not ever. I can go, let me just grab my bag and tell Gus-Gus I’m leaving with you, okay?”
He couldn’t help watching her as they left. It was more than just the sexual attraction between them; she had become such a large part of his life. In fact she had become central in his life; he made decisions and thought things out always with her in mind. Whether he realized it or not he had fallen in love with her and he was not letting go. Grinning a crooked smile at her when he was caught he shrugged up a shoulder. “I can’t help watching those hips sway,” he said with teasing clear in his voice. Pursing his lips slightly, “I think you might have to punish me later.” Coming up to her and kissing her deeply, his hands finding their way down her back to squeeze her ass, lingering a moment as the kiss deepened. He couldn’t get enough of her, and he didn’t want to.
Finally parting from the kiss he didn’t want to end she chuckled. “Greek it is,” he said, opening the truck door for her. The ride over was spent in idle chit chat, but Bull made sure to put his hand on her knee the whole ride there. Not happy about separating they behaved in the restaurant, Bull sitting across from her and reaching for hand. Arching a brow he sucked in some air, not sure if this would be a good thing or bad. “It would be a good place for Phillip and the girls,” he said as he took a sip of his water, feeling the tension of his nerves dissipating.
Leaning back slightly in his chair he looked across the table at her, taking in her radiance before speaking. “It’s funny you mention that, because, and correct me if I’m wrong, it sounds like you want us to find a place together.” Giving her another smile, “Which is something I’ve thought about. I mean with Em living full time at the house, it feels weird. On top of the fact that I miss seeing your face too, and the idea of seeing it all the time, well I have to admit it I really like it.” He squeezed her hand softly, “I will talk to Kennedy about taking some time off next week, and we should absolutely spend the week together.” He didn’t like being apart from her and this might be the solution they were both searching for.

Bull had never expected to have a relationship again, certainly not after the failed one with Vixen. Then again he was older now and definitely not the same person. He considered himself a man now, one he could be proud of, one not like his father. Even though he did a lot of things outside the realm of legal he had standards and never strayed from them. His friendship with Riley had become more and more valuable to him and before he knew it he had feelings that went beyond friendship. He had been thrilled to find she felt the same and since then she was all he thought about and all he wanted. Both of them had been busy, something that saddened him which is why he jumped at the freedom the day presented and hoped he could get her away to spend some time alone. He missed her smile and company and the simple act of being in the room with her. Chuckling when she leaned into him, he inhaled the scent that was unique to her, letting his mind wander to their walks on the beach, waking up in the early morning after being together, and staying up late watching bad movies. Pressing his cheek into her hand, God he had missed her touch. A smile slowly broke out and then he laughed. “I managed to slip out while he was distracted, think you can do the same?”
Winking at her the smile remained on his face, “Good, and I know it’s because it would be so embarrassing to see me cry but I appreciate it.” Nodding at her he hopped on a stool, making an obvious display of watching her walk away to tell Gus. Another wink at her when she returned and he joined her, wrapping an arm around her waist as he led her out to the car. “I was going to say the Taco place, but it seems so predictable. I hear there is a new Greek place opened on the Boardwalk, want to go there?” Opening the car door for her he turned her to face him before she sat. Pulling her into a deep kiss, his hands going to her hips, his hunger intense in the firmness of his lips against hers. When he pulled back to breathe he rested his head on hers, “So . . .” he said, clearing his throat, “Greek?”

With everything going on in preparation for making the men who hurt Em pay Bull had not been able to see Riley as often as he wanted. He missed her, missed being with her, hearing her laugh, seeing her smile. Letting Kennedy know he needed a day off he decided to surprise her at work. Showing up in the early afternoon he sat down at the bar and waited for her meeting to be done. It had been a while since he had fought in the cage, and he realized he missed that as well and made a mental note to have her sign him up. Hearing her voice he stood and giving her a dazzling smile he leaned into the bar. “How is the most gorgeous and dangerous woman in California today?” He asked with a chuckle, coming over to peck her lips, his hand easily snaking her waist.
One thing he loved about Riley was how she felt in his arms and hands. She wasn’t some too thin model or obsessed foodie, she was fit and it came naturally to her, well it did now, he knew that wasn’t always the case. “I was hoping that we could go have some lunch, I know I didn’t call but I wanted to surprise you. If you can’t I understand, I’ll just be utterly devastated.” Letting out another laugh he winked at her, “So can I steal you away or do I go cry in the corner, and you don’t want that, it’s not pretty.”
