The world for me sometimes comes off as dark and bleak. I may be young but I have lessons to teach. I have a legacy. To whisper into the ears of those who've lost all hope to those who's dreams others told then not to scope. To be like a torch to those who can't see the beautiful paradise that's awaits us admist a dark tunnel. I want to speak the wisdom of my mother, " in search of her garden I found my own". I want nothing more than to seek Zions door, tell them I've brought forth the chosen ones. If it takes a bit longer than I'd like promise me little one you'll hold my hand during this fight. Now this doesn't have to be a war of swords and Spears. It can be a fight for those with ears. Speak of the trumpets I hear. All the feathers that fall into my lap. I can't wait to meet you and teach you what it means to be a sacred wombman.
something i wish i had realized earlier: you can write poems on the same subject more than once. you can write, paint, draw the same thing over and over if you want to. you can spend your whole life making art about oranges. i think i always felt this pressure to get it right the first time like i couldn’t go back and use that inspiration again. but you can. you can go back and revisit it. you can pick up the conversation again and again if you have more to say.
