It’s okay to be affected by things you thought you’d moved beyond. It’s okay if this means feeling angry, sad or any number of emotions. Healing isn’t linear and you aren’t weak if things resurface for you.
The more you're struggling, the kinder I need you to be to yourself. It's going to make it unbelievably harder and more painful for you if you're beating yourself up for what you can't do right now, or blaming and hating yourself for all the ways that your struggle is inconveniencing your life.
“You ever have the feeling you lost something important, only to discover it was never there to begin with?”
— David Arnold

your twenties are Also about discovering that you’re not a bad person in all the ways you believed you were but you’re a bad person in completely new and exciting ways
You're sad because you're trying to make sense of things, and things don't make sense.
