Explaining the onibi series lore because I want to convert people into the fandom.
This is a long post that is divided into sections, so be aware. Most of the info from this post was gathered from the masa works design wiki, and I had to cross reference some pages. So please let me know if I gotten anything wrong, or if something does not make any sense here.
Tw: necrophilla, kidnapping, cannibalism, depictions of torture, and disturbing stuff in general.

—the events of the first song
So, pretty much the story begins in a place called castle town, and primarily focuses on the Shishikusa clan, whom lived in the middle of castle town.
The Shishikusa clan consists of Ryou Shishikusa, Mai Shishikusa whom is Ryou’s daughter, Tomonari Shishikusa whom is Ryou’s husband, And other clan members.
The Shishikusa clan liked to do performances to entertain the daimyos, but one day the daimyos grew bored of the performances. This was of course, a big problem for the Shishikusa clan, so, Tomonari suggested that they should kidnap a girl, torture her, and then kill her on stage. Ryou obviously tried to knock some sense into him, but eventually Ryou ended up agreeing to his plan.
Now, there exists the kitsune clan, a clan that made contracts with many gods in the past, resulting in most of the clan members being born with unusual powers, and physical disabilities. However, Akari was the only one in the clan without any disabilities, but, whenever she was angry or under stress, her hair and eyes would turn red. She also had the ability to make people hurt themselves.
the Shishikusa clan tried to kidnap Akari, but everyone they tried to, the person they sent out to do the job, would hurt themselves, pass out, or even die. This ended up causing Ryou to develop a grudge against Akari.
well, one day they ended up succeeding in kidnapping Akari. So, this takes us to the performance, Ryou pulled out demon blade, and attacked Akari, Akari tried to impersonate Mai as she wept and screamed, but Ryou was able to see through the facade. When Akari finally stopped showing signs of life, Ryou faced the audience, and laughed.
But before Akari died, Akari cursed the Shishikusa clan with the abnormality of eating people for 100 years.
—the events in between the songs
After Akari’s death, Mai was kidnapped by ‘a man with strange snake eyes’, this man forced Mai to eat human flesh, however, Mai ended up screaming about how delicious it was. The next morning, she was found on the outskirts of castle town, as she was brought home, the only word she muttered was: ‘eat’.
Now, let’s go back in time. To when Akari died, Akari ended up waking up in a place she didn’t recognize, and she was right in front of Shikyou, a goddess with the ability to kill anyone and anything, whom was also a type of yokai called an Amanojaku, Shikyou was calling out to Akari, she ends up revealing that the reason why she was calling out to Akari was that this was the day she was going to die, and Shikyou ‘saved her’ by bringing her back from the dead. When asked why she did this by Akari, Shikyou reply was that it’s her responsibility to help out the kitsune clan, and that she is glad that she made it on time. When asked what they could do, Shikyou explains that she can offer her consciousness to her, however in order to do so, they must restore her to the rank of the god after fulfilling a few conditions: one of which was to depart from the world she grew up in.
Akari ended up asking why she cares so much, then Shikyou admits that she feels guilty after failing to save the founder of the kitsune clan, whom was Tsukuyomi.
After Akari ended up talking about the powers she received as a member of the kitsune clan, Shikyou concludes that it must’ve been a punishment given by the gods. Because her power involves the worst sin of all: taking lives.
Although Shikyou does admits that she does not know why Akari had received this punishment, as it’s even more severe then a punishment one would receive after killing a god, and that it strong resembles Tsukuyomi’s powers.
Then, Shikyou offers two ways of how she can help Akari at the moment: the first is to inform her clan of what’s happening right now, however, the second option is for her to lend Akari the authority of Shikyou herself, not recommending the latter.
Shikyou ended up explaining the length of her own powers, and Akari ended up choosing the first option, Shikyou ended up identifying her kidnappers, Akari asked if she could take a nap, and Shikyou allows her to do so.
—the events of the second song
It was Mai’s eighteenth birthday, Kaori whom is Mai’s cousin (and is often referred to as a ‘demon child’ in the series) and many other relatives ended up visiting her, meanwhile, Mai was no where to be seen, when Ryou ended up finding where Mai was, Mai ended up telling Ryou that she was just using the bathroom, Ryou was instantly able to see through her lie, blood was also found in Mai’s room while she was gone. So her parents became very concerned.
They ended up talking privately about the whole thing, Mai refused to give an answer to the whole thing, but eventually she said: “mom, dad, I eat people.” Then Mai ended up cannibalizing her parents.
Meanwhile, there was a prophecy that stated if Mai and Akari met, very very terrible things would happen. And that they are never supposed to meet. So, Shikyou ended up informing Emi about this prophecy, putting Emi in charge of the task of insuring Akari and Mai will never ever meet, well, Emi ends up failing at her job, and she went ahead and introduced Mai to Akari anyways…
Anyways, so Mai and Akari ended up getting married.
—the events of the third song
This song is basically about how Mai ended up descending into complete madness due to Akari’s curse, eating more and more people from Castle’s town. Shikyou is also shown screaming in this song, probably due to the fact that Akari and Mai was never supposed to meet, or else a bunch of people would die if they did end up meeting, but they did end up meeting each other anyways.
—the events of the fourth song in the series
This song is about Shikyou, in this song Shikyou talks about how much she hates atheists and her favorite way of punishing them: by beheading them.
Shikyou also mocks Ryou and Mai in the song.

—the events of the fifth song in the series
(I reached the image limit on mobile.)
Mai Shishikusa walks around castle town, being able to see skeletons and ghosts of the people that died as a result of her parents.
Then, Mai ended up getting beheaded by Shikyou. And a basket with Mai’s head in it ended up getting sent to Akari.
Then, Akari ended up killing everybody in Castle Town by using Shikyou’s powers, however, Kaori had already fled the town, thus, Kaori was the only one whom survived this.

—the events of the sixth song in the series
This takes place 100 years in the future, the characters featured in this song are: Kaori’s descendent, and a character named Akari however I will call her Akari Doll to avoid confusion.
Akari doll is a girl from the kitsune clan whom has no idea whom she is, however others tend to call her a: ‘foxes child’, and a ‘special child’.
In the song Kaori’s descendent ended up kidnapping Akari Doll, and proceeded to torment her, eventually Akari Doll had enough of this, so one night, she ended up conducting a plan on how to kill her, and she ended up succeeding in killing Kaori’s descendent, then, she ends up cutting up the body in pieces and throwing them in the closet.
However, I have a theory: that Akari doll is a reincarnation of Akari, you see, as we all know, Akari eyes are blue when she is not angry, and Akari’s eyes turn red when she is angry, now, Akari doll eyes are blue, but her eyes turn red whenever she is angry, however, her hair is blue and does not turn red, unlike Akari’s whom hair is white and turns red whenever she is angry, however, as seen in the song: Shikyou the Amanojaku, Akari eyes is red in that song but her hair remains white. So, Akari hair does not always turn red whenever she is angry. However, this theory is only based off of the fact that Akari doll eyes tend to turn red when she is angry, so I am probably wrong about this.

And this is it! I had covered the events of all of the main songs on the onibi series, I won’t be covering any of the extra songs, as they are not very important to the story. However, I can go ahead and tell you the story behind those songs if you want me to! (^^)
I infact know the onibi series on a personal level as I am a hemiject (partially brain made, partially fictive) of Shikyou from the onibi series ! (Sourcemates please interact, I am begging you.)
