one beautiful thing I learned recently is that the origin of ‘coming out’ was that a person was coming out TO gay society. gay men in nyc in the early 1900s would have debutante-style celebrations where they came out and presented themselves (in high fashion ofc) to other gay folks. it wasnt until the 70s/80s that ‘coming out’ meant coming out FROM a hidden place TO cishet people. anyway my point is that I wanna have a belated debutante party.

I still have some Pride necklaces! I can make whatever you like if you don’t see your flag. I have one of the ‘lipstick lesbian’ left, since unfortunately the creator is an exclusionist, so no more of those will be made. There’s plenty of other lesbian flags to choose from! >D  The rainbow flag was supposed to reflect ALL of us, not just gay men. So if you don’t really care for your specific flag, or can’t wear it in case someone outs you (like the trans flag colours), it’s still okay to wear the rainbow flag. In fact, no one SHOULD let “just gay men” have the rainbow flag. The creator made it for all of us.
