Been reading this for the past few days, and it's just delightful. Legends & Lattes is a delightful, cozy, well paced little read. Looking forward to the sequel soon!

My Immortal: The Complete Reading
A Purritos story I never got to post. I call it “Message From the Stars”

I've been talking about the OGL over on the clock app, if yall have questions I kind of have answers!
Clever alternative commands for the command spell:
+ Surrender
+ Disrobe (hopefully take off some magic items)
+ Ragdoll
+ Vomit
+ Unfocus (perhaps dropping concentration)
+ Dismiss (an alternative to unfocus, potentially end a spell or other ongoing effect)
+ Spin (perhaps make them dizzy/nauseous)
+ Pose (okay, this one is just for humiliation)
+ Help (actually very useful if you can combine it with a gesture or common sense connection to indicate something another player is about to do)
+ Flank (again, useful for giving another player advantage of you use flanking rules).
+ Disregard (could possibly equate willful blindness, could be useful if you want the target to not be able to identify another creature passig by)
+ Flip (either they're dexterous and can perform a flip, in which case that's dope, or they fall flat on their face and they're prone)
+ Dismount (good for mounted enemies)
+ Fluster (useful in social encounters)
+ Miss (if you want to make someone look like they're betraying allies by going easy on you)
+ Look (can use to direct their attention to things that they are avoiding, like a hypnotic pattern)
+ Fail (set them up for another oncoming save, though this is less useful than it sounds because they carry the action out on their turn. So unless it's a save on their turn and the effect in question isn't "harmful"... although this could be very useful for preventing further use of legendary resistances or to make the most out of a spell like power word stun).
here is my one bit of wisdom as a 32 year old with no interest in being a "fandom elder" or "community mom" or whatever -
if someone a little older in your friend group takes care of things and has good advice to offer and whatever, and you all sometimes joke abt them being the mom friend, that's fine and normal
if someone self declares themselves as the mom friend, and begins to act like that is a role with actual authority, Fucking Run

this two-years-old shitpost just gained a hundred notes who the snickerdoodles dug it up

In moments like this I always fall back on the fact that they also aren’t speaking English because they don’t have England or the many languages and conquering peoples that contributed to the creation of the English language and therefore the work musr be a translation into recognizable terms in our world’s terms. Call that Tolkien Brainrot.
It’s called “Translation Convention” but “Tolkien Brainrot” is funnier.
it didn’t look enough like a Real Hospital so I fixed it :)
I’m at a loss for words
people say tumblr only has one joke but this post clearly shows that we have two
Getting into D&D be like:
TIL In 1926 the famous pianist Fats Waller (then 21) was kidnapped by Al Capone’s gang to play piano for his birthday. He basically went missing for 3 days and was returned unharmed but drunk.
via reddit.com
What this headline leaves out is that they kidnapped him by doing the standard mob thing of driving a car up, pointing a gun at him, and saying “get in”. Fats thought he was gonna be killed until Al told him he was a huge fan
Unharmed, heavily intoxicated, and I believe something like $1,500 wealthier.
Nonono we don’t get to ignore what was just said prior. What the fuck DO YOU MEAN THE OPPOSITE OF YOUR MOTHER SELLING YOU TO ONE DIRECTION????!
so easily we forget the lore of our forefathers.
Some forget, some never knew, and some fall down weird YouTube rabbit holes and learn about this stuff in the meantime a bit before Twitter implodes.
Updates
I’m openly and actively preparing for the twitpocolypse.
Since I was last here...
Another Path, my dnd actual play podcast, has been going strong. Near the 5th year anniversary we had a new campaign start up, and we are still early on if you want to check it out!
I’m also a player on Imprinted Echoes, a Cypher system podcast set in the far flung future of Numenera. Check it out if you like actual plays, but prefer something with a bit of a sci-fi bent (or are looking for something a bit more family friendly.
These (and other shows) have spawned out into a full network, Ghostlight Media, A podcast network that celebrates theater, gaming, and the union between!
You’re teleported to 44 BCE Rome in your everyday street clothes. You’re brought before Caesar and he believes you might be from the future, hoping to bring him fortune. One day he questions you, asking “How Do I Die?”
“Surrounded by friends”
Ceasers as he’s getting stabbed and remembers:
I mentioned a while back that I am running a D&D actual play podcast. If you are intirested, but aren't sure about listening to our 18 show backlog, give this a listen. It's an in character overview of the last 18 episodes, and clocking in at just under 10 minutes it's 100% worth a listen!
Somehow I haven't mentioned this here, but I started a podcast a while back. Another Path is an actual play 5E D&D podcast where I run three friends though a homebrew world. We have 13 episodes (and 1 bonus ep) , but the one I linked (6.5) is a great place to jump in!
