Nikki Silva and her Beats by Dr. Dre!
Nikkie Silva from the Kitchen Sisters was hanging out with us producers from American Student Radio, nonchalantly holding some stylish Beats. We had to snap a photo for proof. Now you all know, she is the coolest producer around.
Anyone else today wake up with the plague?
Clearly somebody deployed biological weapons against the Third Coast attendees. Let's hope Claressa Shields escaped unscathed.
Public radio’s State of the Re:Union asks Third Coast Conference attendees: “What’s the sound, person, building or historical event that really captures the place you live.”
It shows how far some producers traveled to attend the conference.
There’s a green pennant for Springfield, Ill., buried in the American bloom. I debated among Abraham Lincoln impersonators, fried food, and animals at the state fair. I think I went with the latter.
i love how vague this is because it implies that what the pigeons do is too scary to write down
“we cannot bear to tell you what horrors the pigeons have wrought”
They're not so bad. Mostly they just pull practical jokes.

Public Radio Yalta at TCF.
Who knew radio producers were such a good looking bunch?
(hint: we did!)
Audio producers are weird.
(Thanks for recording this, Jim Colgan!)
One of Jad Abumrad's favorite things.
Olympic gold medalist AND Third Coast Gold Award-winning Claressa Shields teaches a bunch of radio producers how to jab.
(Thank you, Laura Candler!)
So now that the conference is over, do you want to tell us who your Third Coast Crushes™ were?
Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE WINNERS!!!
Please tell me one of you got a photo of our mass boxing lesson from a gold medalist at the 2012 Third Coast Awards Ceremony.
I hope the work pushes you — drags you back — to that beginner's mindset again and again and again.

Jad was awesome.
Roman Mars kickstarts all our hearts.
Getting ready for a Jad-flavored send-off.
It's a party in the ladies' loo.
