After 7 months of hospital trips for A&E, appointments and so many tests I've finally been diagnosed with epilepsy. 1 in every 100 people will have a seizure in their lives, but only one so nothing more is done about it. I'm so lucky I can be treated and live a relatively normal lifestyle through daily medication - this won't stop me doing anything, and through it all its only made me more thankful for my lucky life and people around me. I NEED drugs so badly but I can't go on them until its medically proven that I'm epileptic (how messed up is that?), but the doctors don't know what its like to wake up paralysed or ache for days after a seizure or fear every time I'm in public that I'll just start fitting. "Just a few more weeks Rachael" no I cannot risk having it happen to me again, I'm in so much pain right now something or someone to take my mind off it pleaaaseee. All my friends have their own stuff going on which is totally ok, but I just want to talk to a friend about this and be told "its going to be ok"!
