I’m not really a fan of either of their music, but the genuine surprise joy and awe on chance the rappers face is priceless. He’s famous, but a musician that he loves still had the power to make stop him dead in his tracks and go give her a hug. And the little excited waddle in the last gif is so adorable.

This is so uplifting
what really pisses me off about suicide is the fact that there are people in your life that after you die will blame themselves, but the second you show them how bad you are feeling while you’re still alive, they ignore you and tell you to suck it up you’re just a little bummed out. you’re issues are not their problem until they know for a fact there’s nothing they can do to help you. people are so shallow and want to act like they want to help you, but all they want is to have the sympathy of others when you die.

I love this because a lot of the time in western culture Muslim traditions and practices don’t get highlighted for the beautiful things they are and here’s a little girl exposed to just a small aspect of that and she’s in awe. That’s wonderful.

I just watched Green Day’s performance at the MTV EMA’s, and i have to say i was so disappointed in the crowd. The show was amazing. they played bang bang, and had the coolest pyrotechnics show i’ve seen in a long time, and the crowd was just standing there. there was maybe one person who was into it. i could see the disappointment in Billie’s eyes when he told the crowd to put their hands up and about ten pairs of hands popped up. when he walked downstage during the song’s break, he just walked to the end and back staring at his guitar because NO ONE seemed to be into it. I’ve never been so disappointed in a crowd in my life. i thought the crowd at their performance for the ramones induction ceremony was bad, but at least the four people that were in the pit at that show were actually enjoying it. the several thousand people that were at the ema’s where sitting there bored, and that makes me even angrier. it’s like that robin williams’ movie quote “the worst thing in life is not being alone, but being with people who make you feel alone”

Back in December of 1996, worried about the influence of Green Day’s “explicit” fourth album, Insomniac, on her 8-year-old son, an angry mother decided to write a slightly aggressive letter of complaint to the band. It clearly hit a nerve, and she soon received a handwritten response from then-24-year-old frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. Both letters can be seen below. Apparently this exchange inspired the song “Reject,” as found on Green Day’s next album, Nimrod.
