Wonderful person with a wonderful voice and soul
She was one meter away from me, now it’s thousands. After we walked to the top of the nearby hills and screamed out load, we were wondering whether it released endorphins or not. I guess it did. But the beer later definitely did.
Walking on the streets of Lisbon and identifing myself. That’s what happened.
In my whole life i felt like I live from month to month or sometimes in the dorm day to day. And now when I feel a bit more safe I am in quarantene without income and think my life becomes a meme. But if there’s only one thing I’ve learnt these years, how much money doesn’t matter.
This picture is from a hot summer day, today is definitely not hot or summery, but it came to my mind, cuz coronavirus makes animals chilled on the streets as much as this cutie was having her deserved siesta in a lazy afternoon.
This tree is a beautiful metaphor to its small town, Santa Clara-a-Velha, a little miracle in the middle of Alentejo.
Old and simple people with love and care, houses dipped in colours, narrow (maybe the narrowest) streets, and lots of wavings to each other, to strangers and to the past that became their present and future with the time stopping.
Most of the time we have no idea who are the people behind our beer partner’s back. So check The people out!
Drinking beer and wine and all the goods, listening street music, and watching the happy dancers with the amazing view of Tejo.
No mundo ninguém é estrangeiro. In the world no one is foreign.
I found this graffiti on the way to the flat of my couchsurfing host in Lisbon. So we can call it a ‘kind of a destiny’. I could write about how difficult is to live in a foreign country sometimes or how alone you can feel during traveling, but I won’t go deep into clichés. Anyway, it’s nice when a little graffiti warms up your heart!
So I met with these guys in Utrecht. We happened to choose the same bar to drink really expensive beers. I guess the price didn’t bother them, cuz it was 4 pm and they had already had THE mood. And a bit of alcohol in your veins cannot hurt.
I don’t even remember to their names, I just asked for a photo and laughter brought us together.
I felt like everybody was drunk in that city. Or they saw the world through this filter that makes you a bit nostalgic, problem free, funny and open. Maybe this filter’s called weed. Maybe.
Horror and beauty of the modern world.
You can buy new Chinese clothes to sit on your freshly bought Chinese toilet while you’re repairing it with your recent Chinese tools. And you tell yourself that it was a good deal. Or at least it was cheap. And you needed a new one, I guess.
It’s hard to write anything about this guy without being cheesy. And I’m not really a cheesy person.
So I’m not gonna say how good is to be respected, to be loved and to be supported. I’m not gonna write down how amazing is to be with someone who’s emotional intelligence always surprises me. I don’t even mention trust. And for sure i’m not gonna talk about sexual connection.
We were in a bathroom of our uni years ago when my best friend looked at me in the mirror and said: “You look different from how I see you.”
That was the first time when I realized that I’m so familiar with the person whom I see every day in the mirror and it’s not even me. I guess others recognize this information when they’re 5… It took me a while.
So I wanted to immortalize the moment of how these important women of my life see themselves in March 2019.
Spanish guy, long hair, guitar, joint and all in black and white. I swear I don’t like cliches.
If you could get closer to him, you would notice the white paint all in his clothes. And hair, probably. So just get closer, go there and make yourself painted and dirty! It doesn’t hurt. It does not always hurt.
It’s always a big question which side of the fence I am. I guess it doesn’t matter, cuz in the end I push my own borders. And now I’m literally imagining myself pushing the fence that’s around me. And I’m super weak, so it doesn’t really move, but the floor is slippery and my legs have no idea how to deal with it, so I just fall down. But I stand up and smile with bloody teeth. Kind of sexy.
In this moment I was outside of the fence, looking at this cutie garden of Barcelona.
Yes. The guy in the mug is naked. And yes. It’s better that it’s not in focus. But it’s a pity that you cannot see the golden frame on it, pretty shiny.
So what can you see in this picture? The wine was horrible, I could have guessed that actually, cuz my father had this sneaking smile on his face when he gave it to me. So I add some tap water to it, as always. The healthy food lost its importance in the moment when the bag of chips appeared. Suddenly. And the gypsy woman who predicted my future from my palm last summer was way better than the prophecy of the topjoy.
So that’s how we say goodbye.
Manifestation in Budapest. Young people are shouting for democracy with mulled wine in the cold winter. Maybe we have never lived in real democracy, so have no idea what we’re shouting for.
This grandpa was playing on the drums and making the mood in front of a tent of a student community, but I was so bad with the camera that I missed the moment. And it was before taking any sip from the wine...
Well, next time!
Creamy chicken breasts with broccoli. The most handsome meal when you live in a dorm and have to fulfill three different diets. Of course just in the beginning of the month, in the end you’re pretty OK with pepper and ketchup.
This kitchen (or one of its twin sisters) has seen this meal many times. So wherever I go, communist buildings will have a place in my heart and I will imagine these three faces cooking, arguing and laughing in it, somewhere in the middle of exam period.
So many bridges connect Buda and Pest and this is not even my favourite one. But this spot is just amazing. The Chain Bridge is the oldest bridge and I love the fact that a hail that happened to prevent crossing the Danube gave the idea to Széchenyi to build it.
