Dear artists...
No, Iâm not going to link back to your page. I edited out your ugly signature too. I paid for the art. It is mine.
Donât worry, this does not mean I take credit for drawing it. When people ask if I drew it, I say âNope.â When people ask who did, I say, âSorry, I donât remember.â
Just because I bought your art does not mean our profiles have to be linked forever. Itâs the same if I buy an apple from the grocer. I donât have to keep the sticker on it or tell people where it came from. Iâm not a walking advertisement for your shop.
If you want credit so badly, then I should get a cut of your future profits for my part in the advertising.
I know Iâm probably going to get the wrath of whiny, entitled artists for this, but I donât care. I wonât be making a shrine around their art dedicated to them. I paid for a service, and now we should go our our separate ways!
Just gonna say, if I find out ANY of my commissioners do this, we will no longer be doing business with each other.
And as for op, I doubt anyone will be doing commission work for you ever againâŠ
OP is basically also saying authors arent entitled to having their name on their book because the OP bought it.
