Lyft just offered me free credits to break the strike this week.

There’s a lyft / uber strike planned this week from 7am to 9pm on Wednesday May 8th. I got a notification this morning that every ride taken this week gives me credit on future rides. I found that tempting but then remembered why they are doing it - to encourage folks to cross a picket line. I for one won’t be taking advantage of this offer, as I stand in solidarity with people utilizing their right to free speech to bargain for better working conditions.

Consider this a friendly reminder to those who follow me that this is happening, and I hope you’ll support the apps’ drivers in their quests for better pay.

they switched water to save $5 million

switched it back ONLY for the car production company because the water was CORROSIVE. THEY KNEW but it was still “fine” for the people to drink. Despite the proof and outcries that it was toxic.

PLUS they kept covering it up, not using filtration in the water (to save money. shocker right?) and even when the people VOTED AND WON to switch back they were overruled because democracy right?

switching back would have cost them $12 million back then but NOW

FIVE YEARS LATER its cost them $77.7 MILLION and irreparable damage to the community.

i hope EVERY SINGLE PERSON responsible pays for what they did to that city and is held accountable for the money stolen on the blood of children. every single person who played a role in this fiasco should pay for the healthcare of every single person effected and reimburse them the money they were forced to pay to keep that toxic water running in the houses they werent allowed to leave
