Do you remember our "CAID"-era? These photos are from thirteen years ago, and if you remember were at the party where all of the toilet paper in the building ended up on the dance floor (and, well, everywhere). It's wild to think it's been that long. Something Cold was the first monthly party to return to the Contemporary Art Institute of Detroit following the now infamous (and very unlawful) Funk Night raid that occurred at the CAID by DPD. These were some of our earliest parties and we are incredibly thankful for all of the energy, support and friends we made from then til now. Something Cold returns Saturday, February 25th to the @ufofactory for another evening of isolation anthems, fog machine excess... and two LIVE performances! This month we are excited to have Cleveland's @disintegrationband (featuring members of Profligate, Cloud Nothings, Pleasure Leftists) and @declinermusic join us in the COLD. Disintegration create quality, synth driven post-punk akin to Gleaming Spires, Fad Gaget or Krisma. Decliner have quickly become local favorites, making self proclaimed "biker disco".
