As BeWater expands and develops, we address unique challenges that each of our boutique locations must face. For example, we are fully aware that bottling our product in plastic is not where we want to be.
Our program in Thailand allows for bottling in glass working in conjunction with their countries 80% recycle rate. Malaysia, although next-door, currently has wider options for plastics recycling. Selecting a 100% BPA free plastic bottle for our water that can be recycled while we research and develop biodegradable packaging is our current option. We will be launching a nationwide; I RECYCLE APP that introduces a recycling program that will earn you rewards, following some initiatives pioneered in Japan, where we will distribute bins that are properly labelled and widely accessible. We will be using recycled materials to produce these bins. Taking something overlooked and reinventing it, so people are drawn in a new wonderful way.
The motion is exhilarating when garbage is an art instead of an eyesore. Our journey here is a very long winding road but its いっぽ “Ippo” steps.
If we can influence 10% of the population, we hope the other 90% will follow.
