28/01/18 1:55pm | A lil snapshot of my desk today.
21.01.2018; colour-coding info for my thesis, trips to lush and the bookshop, and tiny croissants.
today i managed to finish a reading i wanted to do for my thesis, although i pretty much disliked all of it. now it’s time for monday; good morning habits start the night before!
Sunday study day!
12|5 it’s a beautiful day, I hope you’re all well🌸
How do I stop procrastinating?
close this tab, turn off your phone, pause netflix, put your distractions in another room if possible
get up and jump around a little, stretch your muscles!!
write a to do list (quick and concise- no messing around!)
change your environment if you can
take your earphones out unless they’re absolutely necessary (music is great but it is a distraction!!! this sucks, i know!)
go have a pee, wash your hands with cool water, splash some on your face (cold water, not pee)
get a glass of water, eat a fucking apple
gET OUT YOUR BOOKS
GET A PEN AND SOME PAPER
DO YOUR FUCKING WORK!!!
nobody can stop you from procrastinating except yourself
be PROACTIVE and do it yourself!!
you can stop procrastinating by stopping procrastinating!
rip off the band aid and just do your fucking work
YOU HAVE TO FORCE YOURSELF
you can chill later- you’ll feel 6000000% better about letting yourself relax once you’ve actually done some work
seriously, you just have to do it
stop now!!!!
monday to thursday - semester six, week three
my week can be summed up as productive, but only for classes i actually like. tried and still haven’t finished that damn report, but i consoled myself in reading woolf’s to the lighthouse and looking more into my lit classes, and the linguistics one. next week’s load of work is supposed to be lighter, thanks gosh because i need this family time in the countryside i’m suppose to have as of tomorrow.
{7.1}i hope you’ve all had an amazing start to the new year…back for my last term at UCL tomorrow. time flies when you are suffering…
also i’ve activated my insta if you wanna come over and say hi..i’ll be posting soon!

Korean Numbers, Days of the Week and Months
I just read through my blog and I realised that I haven’t written anything about numbers, days of the week or months. So this post is dedicated to those people who were like “hEy wHErE DID THE NUMBERS, DAYS OF THE WEEK AND MONTHS GO???”
NUMBERS
Numbers in Korean is actually simple; a lot simpler that English numbers tbh. The only somewhat hard ones are numbers from 1-10 and they aren’t even hard. Okay wait the other confusing thing is that there are two number systems in Korea. The Sino-Korean which derived from China and the Native Korean system deriving from Korea. I’m gonna show y’all both because we use both
NUMBER SINO-KOREAN KOREAN
1 il hana
2 ee (i) dul
3 sam set
4 sa net
5 o da-seot
6 yuk yeo-seot
7 chil il-gop
8 pal yeo-deol
9 gu ah-hop
10 ship yeol
Numbers 11-19 in Sino-Korean is ship-(insert Sino-Korean number from 1-9)
Numbers 11-19 in Native Korean is yeol-(insert Native Korean number from 1-9)
Double digit numbers that end in 0
Sino-Korean: (insert number of the tens digit. e.g. in 20 the tens digit number would be 2) then add 10 to it. For example, 20 is ee(i)-ship, 30 is sam-ship. If the number is 21 then you add the word for 20 (ee-ship) with the word for 1 (il); ee-ship il.
Native Korean: There is no pattern, nor order in Native Korean, making it harder to use.
20-seumul 30-seoreun 40-maheun 50-shin 60-yesun 70-ilheun 80-yeodeun 90- aheun
For numbers like 21 you add the word for 20 (seumul) with the word for 1 (hana); seumul-hana.
DAYS OF THE WEEK
Days of the week in Korean is also REALLY EASY to learn because you only need to change one word. The name for the days of the week derive from Chinese as well.
Monday- wol-yo-il (wol meaning moon) (yo-il meaning day)
Tuesday- hwa-yo-il (hwa meaning fire)
Wednesday- su-yo-il (su meaning water)
Thrusday- mok-yo-il (mok meaning tree/wood)
Friday- geum-yo-il (geum meaning iron/metal)
Saturday- to-yo-il (to meaning dirt) (to is pronounced shortly so don’t say the name of the letter)
Sunday- il-yo-il (il meaning sun) (This il is different to the number 1)
MONTHS
Months in Korean is very, VERY easy. you add the word for the number of the month (Sino-Korean) and add wol to it. For example, January- il-wol, Feburary- ee-wol, March- sam-wol, ect all the way up to December, ship-ee wol. Can’t be easier than that. Easier to understand and learn compared to October meaning the 8th month actually being the 10th month.

new year means new bullet journal setup! // ig
The year is 2018. Your bills are on autopay. You just got paid and you still have $1200 from the last check. When you want something, you buy it without moving money around. Your credit cards are paid off. You and your friends have 2 international trips planned and paid for this year. Your parents are in great health and you’re able to help if they need anything. You love your job. Your desired creative career is falling into place and you get to take your little cousins to Six Flags and Universal Studios over the Summer. Your relationships are healthy and supportive. All of the toxic energy from the past 6 years is gone. You going to concerts, eating good across the states and your crib has art and warmth throughout. 2018 is going to be so good to you.
Maybe I should have included guidelines.
FYI: I was basically homeless 2 years ago, could not get a job to save my life, involved in a very abusive relationship with a manipulator and I was “I don’t wanna live anymore.” depressed. Fast forward 2 years later….listen to me.
Create goal boards. Having a visual representation of your goals viewable increases your chances of accomplishing them.
Stop spending money on bullshit. Ohmygod. You think you’re not but take a good look at your finances. This was the first step to me saving a lot of money.
Why are you only making $9/hr with 8+ years of experience? Does your resume and/or interview skills need work?? Don’t settle just because you didn’t get those first couple of jobs. Partner with temp agencies in your cities. A lot of companies don’t even publicly post jobs anymore.
Don’t be so hard on yourself if you don’t hit every single thing on your goal board. I didn’t hit all my 2017 goals and a few of them came months after my expected completion date!
Groupon and Living Social will make you apart of the elite of traveling.
Move money into an account you have limited access to (direct deposit a certain amount into an account that’s separate from your main checkings or with a different bank altogether.)
Work towards your desired career everyday or at least once a week; write that chapter, create that treatment, record that song, apply for that internship.
Begin to distance yourself from toxic people or confront them all at once and end the relationship.
If you can afford it, SUBSCRIBE to Kindle Unlimited, soooooooooo many books that will help you get your shit together.
Create mini weekly goals; I recommend doing 3 mini goals a week (example: no sugar this week, write for 10 minutes a day, apply to 3 jobs) These are very attainable and give you a sense of accomplishment.
Bill Autopay. I know this is a big one but you’re closer than you think. Do you pay for Spotify or Hulu monthly?? What about Apple Music or Netflix? Look at you already having one or two monthly payments getting drafted automatically 😎 I recommend choosing the one bill that does not change and making that your first official autopay bill!
Language Immersion at Home
1. Watch movies and TV in your target language. Adjust the use of subtitles according to your level of knowledge.
2. Listen to music in your target language. Spend some time simply listening to the music. Other times, translate the lyrics to your favorite songs.
3. Read literature in your target language. Start with children’s books and work your way up to novels and classic works of literature.
4. Change your phone/computer’s language to your target language. Only do this if you know enough in your language to change it back.
5. Speak to yourself in your target language. Speak aloud or think to yourself in complete sentences.
6. Play music/podcasts/audiobooks in your target language in the background as you complete other tasks. Eventually, you’ll start to pick up some of the common phrases.
7. Use cookbooks written in your target language. This is a great exercise for learning words you might not otherwise encounter.
8. Follow accounts on social media that post primarily in your target language. Make sure to read the posts instead of scrolling past them.
9. Find a pen pal/text buddy to have conversations in your target language.
10. Purchase everyday items in your target language: watches, planners, notebooks. Anything that requires you to glance at the text throughout the day.
11. Take notes to yourself in your target language. Whether it be your daily to-do’s or school notes, just practice your writing!
