little experiment I'm working on
My Spring/summer of 2026 captured on a floppy disk camera from 1997
West End Cemetery, Portland, Maine. 2026
Took this in Chinatown
Taken with my 1997(?) digital camera
I was obsessed with long exposures back then and set up my 35mm film camera on a tripod and aimed it at Ground Zero after 9/11, taking 30 second exposures of the smoldering wreck, one after another, not realizing I was making a stop motion film.
Just got back from Paris
Found (Taipei, Taiwan, 2017)
Found these in a box in my parents’ attic. They’re at least 20 years old, maybe more. One has only three pictures left and the other has only three pictures taken.
East End Beach, Portland, Maine. 2025
Expat Bar, Seoul, Korea, 2011
Finished a rectangle

Changing some things around. It's slow going since I've never made a mosaic. Need to replace the substrate under the middle panel from gold to silver so those tiles will look the same light blue as the other light blues, now that I'm following a color distribution rule that states the dominant color, light blue, should take up 50% of the composition. The goal with this is to add a sense of cohesion, achieving a balance between distinctively separate panels that also work together as one, and has directional flow.
