the restaurant was doing well. very well. tiana couldn’t be more happy with how everything had turned out. she’d been worried at first about how people in sydney would take to southern cuisine, but business was boomin’. guess folks just couldn’t resist a good meal. “beignets here! pipin’ hot and fresh. come have yourself one now, and come back for more tonight to hear some authentic sounds of new orleans!” one of the highlights the restaurant provided was traditional new orleans jazz that was played live every night, and tiana had decided to offer people free beignets to help drum up enthusiasm for a new band that was playing later that evening. she stood just outside the restaurant, hands and apron covered with powdered sugar, the smell of fried dough wafting through the open windows behind her. “afternoon! would you care for one? they’re one of our specialties,” she asked someone walking nearby. “my own recipe,” she added, beaming with pride.

Kitana smiles as the woman approaches, she had been enjoying trying all sorts of Earth foods as she was not used to this as whenever she visited Earth it was due to someone trying to destroy it or Mortal Kombat was invoked.  When the smells reached Kitana’s nostrils she could not help but smile, “Miss. I know this may sound stupid but what exactly is a beignet? I’d love to try one...and I think I may come back tonight I love learning about new music and food is a big plus for me.”

bella stood away from the crowd for mostly two reasons - one, she would be of no help to anyone, considering she wasn’t in a mood to party at all and.. second, she didn’t really know how to act around people she didn’t know. it was something that had never changed for her - something that would probably never change and.. as of now, she had made her peace with that. she stood to the side, a glass of a drink that she probably never intended on finishing, considering alcohol was.. truly disgusting to humans, but.. as of now, it was a good disguise. the spot next to her was empty and therefore, when she noticed someone looking around, bella smiled. “feel free to take a seat, after all.. not all of us can really enjoy dancing that much.”

“These boys aren’t even fun! This party needs to have more bing bangs and booms.” Sheila states looking at the women next to her. “Names Sheila, what's yours?” Sheila had a tendency to talk and talk and never shut up. Pierce always said it was her one downfall.

“Thank you. This party is dull. Though I guess I am okay with dull given the fact we never get to even be this joyous back home.” He sighs again wondering how Sarah and Boozer were dealing.  Sometimes trouble is a good thing you know?”

Lucifer was slightly confused by the man’s request. “You mean your waitress? She is tending to other people. How about I mix you a drink on the house. I am Lucifer, Lucifer Morningstar, and I own this place. What can I get for you?”

“Make it something strong. I been drinking for like three hours and feel nothing.  Mortals cannot make strong drinks.”  Hades states looking to him slightly confused. “Names Hades...that dude who sometimes runs the underworld.”

Elspeth sent her mind Farseeking, finding the dog easily. With just a few soft mental words through Beastspeaking, the dog was trotting up to her side within seconds, pressing into her side. It made her feel safer. She should have brought Gahltha, but the horse was too large for places like this. “I didn’t turn them off.” She finally answered him, although it was a terrible lie. She’d never been good at it, even when her life depended on convincing people to believe her. If he caused too many problems, she could just Coerce him into believing her.

“No the machines are off. You did something. What did you do. Don’t lie. Should call the damn cops for having some lady touching the machinery. But the dog seems to be okay with you so then. Just go on and tell me.”

Eowyn kept a straight face at his swearing, nudging her horse to step in front of him and the person he was talking to. “I rather like being on my high horse.” She snarked back, never liking it when people tried to push others around. She’d always known how to hold her own in an argument, this was no different.

He eyes the horse, “Real cute sweetie. But when the God of the Underworld has business with someone. Nothing and I mean nothing comes in my way. What makes your horse so special hmmm?”

Daniel had most certainly dealt with worse - the lack of a leg was proof of that. But considering half of it was classified, he figured it was a lot easier to turn it into a joke. “Well, he could at least ask if I have any preferences on how I want to die. It’d be the polite thing to do.” He stretched carefully, not wanting to lose his balance. “Don’t worry. He left me with a weapon.” Daniel patted the crutch, used to people underestimating it and him because of his disability, but he knew exactly how hard to hit to knock a man down.

Watching the other get up made him smile, “Ah yes. Your crutch. Hey well maybe its better people forget these things.” He simply muses as he peaks out checking that nobody is directly outside of the room. “Come on now. Lets go before they notice.”

“I try to do that.” Anne was the type of person who would strike up a conversation with just about anyone, which was why she was talking to him. “Just live as it comes. But then I start thinking, and then I start over thinking, and it never ends well for anyone involved when that happens.” She laughed a little at her own explanation.

“Sometimes its easier said then done. Overthinking is why great empires have fallen. You must be swift and sometimes it's hard to act swift. But you learn sometimes...sometimes it takes a bit of falling to find your reactions.”

“Then you must be military then too? I mean I get it but still we been home rebuilding our home I guess for months and he still cannot manage to shower? Baird’s estate hadn’t been wrecked so we have clean clear water...and we are not nomads!”

elena didn’t have to turn around to know who it was, she recognized his voice immediately as she finally turned to face him with a smile on her lips. “i’m sorry. do i know you?” she joked in return. “i know we have all evening left but please try to stay out of trouble? just for one night?” a chuckle escaping. “it’s really something. huh?” nodding in agreement, her head drifting to take in the view around them.

“Oh come on! Trouble is my middle name! Now I gotta change it?” He laughs as he looks to her, “I didn’t even plan on coming but a lead l had said someone was here. I found them and I figured it out. So no trouble tonight. Well here anyways.”

Morgan casted her head down, a small smile on her lips. His kid, though it would feel good to be the only Stark someone knew it would be far and in between that happened. “You were at his funeral right?” She took a sip of her wine. “I feel like I remember seeing you.” Though she couldn’t help but laugh. “It’s okay, I’m sure I’ll be taking over as pain in his ass eventually.” She shrugged. “It’s a pleasure to meet you as well Mr. Fury.”

“Yes. Yes, I was. Briefly, as SHIELD needed me for something. I apologize to you and your mother for leaving so suddenly.” He states looking to her, “Please Nick. Your going to make me sound like an old man. I am not that old yet.” He laughs.

Eponine grabbed the tissue, dropping it into his lap. “Is that the kind of problem someone’s going to want to have words with me over?” That was her biggest concern. She was used to being blamed for her father’s sins, she wasn’t sure if that meant she’d now be paying for her fiance’s. “Don’t fancy getting shot for someone else’s cause.” Again.

He looks to her nearly worried and sighs, “No. I handled it. If they come their going to come looking for me. I am the one who ended up docking pays.” That broke Fury’s heart though. That, someone, had shot this woman for what was likely her father's debt. “Did he ever show you love or were you always a pawn in your game?”

Grace turned around to face the yelling man, her eyes wide in shock. “Oh, I’m sorry. I did not know it was against the rules. At the manor, I was expected to go everywhere to clean. But you don’t have to worry about me. I’m made of tougher stuff than I look.” She hadn’t realised she was human now, just as fragile as anyone else. “I don’t have a car, I just thought I’d look around. I can’t find my children.”

“Hey hey! What do you mean you cannot find your kids? What do they look like?” He states suddenly getting worried over a woman he had not talked to for more than five seconds. Sarah...thinking of when he thought she was dead. Goodness, that scared him, the fact people still could lose their families even here that was sad.

That would change. Eponine had no doubt that rules would start to come down on her, that was just life. “Good thing you don’t expect me to cook, because I can’t. Not very well.” She didn’t answer the rest of the things he said, since it didn’t seem like she needed to say anything. She had to agree with whatever he wanted anyway. “Don’t worry about me, monsieur. I can make myself at home anywhere.” Her parents had made sure of that by giving her nothing to rely on ever. “I’ll be a good girl for you, unless you wanted a bad one.”

He smiles looking to her, “Don’t worry. I am pretty decent. Maybe I can teach you a few things. Oh...is that so? You can be bad? No. You look so pretty. I doubt such a pretty face could be that naughty. Hmm maybe we will have to see this..”

Immediately, she pointed out constellations, drawing lines between the stars. “Although they don’t really tell the stories that people think they do, they are a wonderful indicator of where one is located. For example, I never saw the Southern Cross until I woke up here.”

“Its quite lovely when you see things you haven’t seen before. Its always interesting to find new and improved ways to look up at the stars too. I remember  when I was younger they had nothing. Now they have things that can see oh so far away.”

Lucifer had not been one to rather enjoy the cold since Hell was alway rather warm most of the time. He was starting to wonder where his little demon Maze was at but then again he figured she was off doing whatever it was that she does best. He turned his attention to the person next to him as he leaned up against the wall and look a sip of his drink. “Rather nice night out don’t you think?” 

Shelia looked to the other, “I mean I guess? I don’t know its awfully strange how we all got stuck here some knowing more things then others. I miss my family...the Saints.  I miss a lot of things back home...not that there was much of a home left anyways...” She states looking to the other, “Names Shelia but most people know me as Boss. Kinda like that nobody here knows me...”
