Man, sometimes I look back at the PotC fandom in 2006 and like

They really spent Dead Man's Chest making Jack make every selfish, deplorable decision he possibly could with an asterisk at the end, literally getting two crews killed under his command and agreeing to (at least temporarily) sell off other people's souls in exchange for his, and just because of that asterisk that maaaaaybe he didn't mean it to be permanent, instead of debating the complexity of his character, or the nuance of Elizabeth's decisions, a large chunk of the fandom uhhh (checks notes) decided Elizabeth was irredeemably evil for killing him.

So it's straight up like "Nature is healing" to see so many fans on tumblr just straight up cheering her killing him on, especially without being interpreted as "hating" his character lmao
