âYouâre fine?â He continued to inspect the boy, grumbling as he did so. âMind explaining why you ran off last night? You bloody idiot, I had no idea what the fuck was up with you. You and your damn disappearing acts.â Even Darcy had come to him about it. Nik had spent time looking around for Tommy and when he had no luck, heâd been roped back in for some drinking game. He was reluctant at first until the alcohol was flowing, but even that didnât last because he eventually spotted his best friend. The look on Tommyâs faceâŠhe wanted to cure whatever had caused the other to ache, which he assumed had to be Darcy. âExplain to me why you left, I know you heard me calling you.â Heâd just been too drunk to catch up and see straight. âYouâre lucky Iâm not going to transform on you.â Sometime Nik got so upset that he wanted to start swinging, but even as frustrated as he was with his roommate, it all stemmed from this immense amount of concern. He cared so deeply for Thomas that he felt he could blow up from the heat of emotions. He took a deep breath to calm down. His face was hot for being so flustered and his dark eyes searched Tommyâs for answers. âIâm fine. My head hurts. Itâs just a hangover okay, Iâm in one piece.â
thomas twisted his mouth before furrowing his brows together as he thought on it, because frankly, yeah, he did mind explaining why. unyielding jealousy wouldnât be a good enough answer here so he wouldnât even bother. âyeah. iâm not sure how to answer that right now.â honestly was the best policy, right? yet still, tommy knew that nik was about to explode if he didnât answer right now. âi just.. felt sick. i broke up with darcy because it was stupid, i didnât even want to spend the dance with her. i wanted to go with you, as friends or whatever, and i break up with her and youâre sucking face and it was just... ugh. made me feel gross.â
