I am attempting to do an October writing prompt. This is the first time so bare with me.

DAY 9

Meeting the parents (F,Y/N)

Last week you asked Florence if she wanted to meet you parents. She said yes. So now you were on your way to pick her up.

Your parents decided to have a big family dinner and thought it would be a good time to have them meet her. You had been together for almost a year now.

The drive to her house was silent. You were pretty nervous for no reason. Once you got to her house,you noticed she was more nervous than you.

You reassured her that there was nothing to worry about. You knew your parents would love her. When she was finished getting ready,you left the house,but not before you kissed her and told her how pretty she looked.

She played the music she liked on the drive there. Helping her calm down. It also helped you,it was nice that you had many common interests.

When you were almost to the house,it started sprinkling,but never more than that. The drive was so lovely. Especially during autumn.

When you got to the house,you both stayed in the car for a few minutes. You kept telling her there was nothing to worry about. You never had anything bad to say about your parents,even during your childhood.

Once you decided to get out of the car,what very little rain there was,began to stop. Florence told you how nice you house was. Later that day,you would show her around the house.

At dinner your parents asked her questions. She answered them. She also thank your mother for the food. She told her how delicious it was.

After dinner you gave her a tour of the house. Showing her your childhood bedroom last. You just sat in there talking for a while.

When it was time to go,you hugged your parents. You thanked them for dinner. You also promised to call them one of these days.

The drive back was quieter than before. You were right about your parents. They were happy to meet her. The same was true for her.

DAY 8

First kiss (F,Y/N)

You wanted to take her to a nice dinner. You had taken a shower and got dressed. Putting your shoes on,grabbing your phone,keys,and heading out the door. Locking the door before getting in the car.

You were so nervous. When you got the Florences house,you fixed your hair before vetting out of the car. You got to the door,knocked,and walked in.

When you saw each other,you smiled. You told her how lovely she looked.She grabbed her phone. You left the house,she locked the door and walked to the car.

You opened the door for her and closed it when she was in the car. You talked on the way to the restaurant,taking an hour to get there. You kept telling her how pretty she was.

The restaurant was great. The waiter was so nice. Not to mention the food was amazing,and it was quiet.

When it was time to leave,you paid the bill. You opened her door again. The drive back was silent,except for the faint song from the radio.

You pulled up to her house. Just sitting in the car until she decided to inside. You waited until she closed the door.

You put the car in reverse,you began to leave the driveway. Instead of continuing,you parked the car and got out. You walked up the steps and knocked on the door,waiting this time.

She opened the door. She looked confused,and asked if you were okay. You nodded.

"I wanna kiss you."

She nodded. "Okay."

You gently grabbed her face and kissed her. Her lips were soft. Her mouth tasted like cherries.

You ended up staying the night. Almost being late to work. You weren’t complaining.

DAY 7

First date (F,Y/N)

You put your shoes on,left the house and locked the door. Before getting in your car,you let Florence know you were on your way. You started the car and drove to her house. You were going to her house first before going to the pumpkin farm.

You played music on the way. You got there 20 minutes later. Grabbing your phone and keys before getting out of the car,you knocked on the door before walking in. When you didn’t see you,you called her name. She was finishing getting dressed.

You sat down while you waited. When she came out of the room,she told you how cute your outfit was. You told her you like her outfit too. You noticed she had on your jacket from the theater and smiled.

“I see you like the jacket.”

“Oh,yea. It’s comfy.”

She put her shoes on. Grabbing her keys,you left the house. She locked the door and you got in the car. You asked how her morning was,she told you it was good.

It took about an hour to get to the farm. You both decided to do the maze first. Only getting lost a few times you finally found the end.

You decided to see the animals next. Feeding a few and petting them. She’d laugh at the llamas while feeding them.

After the animals,you choose to take a break and get a snack. You got cider and chocolate donuts. Sitting at a picnic table to eat.

After throwing the trash away,you chose to go to the gift shop. You looked around for a while until deciding on what to buy. You bought a mug and she bought small towels.

You then bought some pumpkins before leaving. You got a regular pumpkin and a small white one. She only got the small white pumpkin.

On the ride back,you talked about the animals. When you got to the house,you just sat in the car for a few minutes,until she said goodbye and went inside her house. You went home.

DAY 6

Confession (F,Y/N)

You stayed home most of the day. Apart from getting groceries from the store,you stayed inside watching a show. It had been quite a calm day. That’s why it startled you when you got a message.

After watching many episodes of the show,you decided to take a break to make dinner. You decided to just make chicken nuggets with macaroni and cheese. You were the only one eating and didn’t feel like having to wash a lot of dishes.

You were waiting for the chicken to finish cooking,already eating the pasta. When they were done,you put some on your plate and continued watching the show. That was when you got a text message from your best friend.

There was nothing that would’ve prepared you for what she said. You told never to tell another person,especially not her sister,she had promised. Then she ended up telling her. You didn’t know what to say.

You asked her why she would do that,she said she didn’t mean to do it,that it was an accident. You couldn’t understand how it could be an accident. How could someone screw up like that,it was simple.She kept telling you she was sorry,you didn’t answer.

You’d say about two hours later,Florence messaged you,asking to come over. You were hesitant but you agreed. When she got to your house,she knocked on the door. When you opened the door,she asked if you could talk,you nodded and let her in.

You went into your kitchen and sat at the table. Neither saying a word,both too nervous to speak,until she finally spoke. She said she knew her sister wasn’t supposed to say anything,but she was glad she did.

Either you don’t know what she met being you were internally freaking out or you just really didn’t understand. You decided to just ask. You honestly never would have expected her to say what she did.

“It means I like you.”

It was silent. You made sure it want a joke. She asked why she would do that. You didn’t have an answer. You shrugged. She told you to ask her,you were confused,she told you again.

“Florence,would you like to be my girlfriend?”

“I would.”

She stayed for the night. Continuing the show from earlier. Both of you ending up falling asleep on the couch.

DAY 5

Sweet gesture (F,Y/N)

You had decided to go to the movies today. You had both agreed last night on which new movie you’d see. It had come out today and would be playing for a week. You chose to see it at the theater down the road from her house. You met at her house first.

You chose what to wear,taking a shower before leaving. You got dressed and headed downstairs. You put on your shoes,grabbed your jacket,keys,and phone,leaving the house. You texted Florence to tell her you were on you way to her house before getting in your car and driving there.

You listened to some music on the way. It took you a few extra minutes to get there,having to go up two streets to get to her house instead of the first road that led there. You arrived to her house,grabbing your jacket,phone, and keys again before getting out of the car.

You went up the steps to the door. Florence had told you just to walk in when you got there if she wasn’t out yet. You still knocked before opening the door and going inside. She just smiled and shook her head. She was sitting on the chair getting her shoes on. She finished tying them and stood up. Grabbing what she needed,you left the house. She just locked the door when you asked if she wanted a jacket before you left. She said she’d be fine.

While you walked to the theater,you had both talked about how your day was going so far and laughed about how you had almost broke a bowl that morning. On your way there, you had seen why the road was blocked off. An accident,which you had ignored. There was nothing either of you could do.

When you got to the theater,you went to the counter. You had to wait behind a few people. When it was your turn you had bought your ticket and snacks. She thanked you for it. You went into the correct room and found a place to sit.

The movie lasted 2 hours. By the time it ended the popcorn was almost gone,neither wanted the rest. Everyone started leaving as the lights came back on. When you left,you threw the bucket and cups away. You went to the bathroom before leaving. You threw the towel away and left the bathroom.

While walking out of the theater,you noticed it had gotten significantly colder than earlier. You gave her your jacket which she had originally refused,but she had worn a dress and you knew she would be colder. You told her you weren’t bothered by the temperature anyways,she finally accepted it and put the jacket on.

You smiled,thinking she looked cute in it. While walking back to the house,you had talked about the movie. You had found it quite funny. You both liked it and said you would watch it again in the future. When you got back to her house,you both said goodbye and went your separate ways.

You waited until she got inside her house to leave. The next morning Florence texted you about how she still had you jacket. You told her not to worry about it and smiled to yourself.

DAY 4

Blushing/Getting nervous (F,Y/N)

You walked 15 minutes in the snow to get to her house. It wasn’t as bad as you thought it would be. It also helped that you quite liked the cold weather.

When you got to her house,you knocked on the door. Even after she told you several times that you didn’t have to,you still always knocked. She opened the door and let you in. You took off your coat and hung it up,along with your shoes,before you walked further into the house.

She had returned to the kitchen so you joined her. She told you she was making hot cocoa and asked you to pick out a movie. You walked into the living room and opened the cabinet under the television. You pulled out the cd folder.

You looked through the movies,there were a lot. You looked through each one until you found the movie you wanted. You chose Santa Buddies. A movie you watch all the time around Christmas as a child. It was your favorite.You took the cd out of the case and put it into the television.

You didn’t play it until Florence was done in the kitchen. When she finished she came into the living room carrying two cups and a large blue bowl. She told you she brought snacks. When you told her you could’ve helped bring them in,she told you it was fine.

She set everything on the table and sat down. You told her what movie you chose and she told you how much she liked it. You started the movie and sat at the other end of the Couch. Grabbing your cup,you watched the movie.

About halfway into the movie,it began to get rather cold in the house,she noticed. You moved closer to her and grabbed the blanket from behind the couch. You laid the blanket across both of you,she smiled and continued watching the movie.

While you were eating the popcorn,your hand touched hers and she moved her hand away. You apologized,she told you there was no need to. While you continued to watch the movie,you had moved your leg causing it to be against hers. She didn’t move away that time.

As the movie was ending,you caught her staring at you. Her face slightly red.After the movie ended. She took care of the dishes and you talked until you decided to go home.

Day 3

Call/Text (F,Y/N)

You were never a fan of talking on the phone.That was until you met Florence.Now you call almost every day. You loved hearing her voice as she spoke about her day or a meal she was thinking of making. Today wasn’t much different,except for instead just hearing each other’s voice,she decided to FaceTime you. You answered the calls and greeted her.

You noticed she was in her kitchen. You hadn’t have any food since the morning and knew you should eat soon. You decided to go into your kitchen and get the same sized bowls out that you seen on her counter. She noticed.

She asked what you were going to make. You told her the same thing she was and asked her to teach you. She smiled and told you the first thing to do as she did it. You both laughed and talked as she continued to show you the rest of the way to make the meal.

You kept laughing because you kept dropping the ingredients. She accidentally scared you when you were about to start cooking the noodles. You had been taught to break the noodles in have. Apparently that is against the rules. She told you she didn’t like you anymore if you cooked them that way. You made sure never to do that again.

When you finally finished cooking,you rinse the dishes and set them in the sink. You put some of the pasta on a plate,set it on the table and sat down. You set your phone in the middle of the table,the same way Florence did. You enjoyed the meal and told her you should cook together more often.

DAY 2

Hanging out (F,Y/N)

You had decided the night before that you would meet at the restaurant. The plans for today were to get lunch and shop. You sat on the bench outside of the restaurant as you waited for Florence. She got to the restaurant and you went inside. When you sat down,the waiter handed you both a menu and left to give you time to choose.

After several minutes,the waiter came back. You were ready to order. You chose a chicken sandwich with a water. She had chosen chicken Alfredo with ice tea. He left the table again so they could make the food. As you waited for the food,you talked about what shops you wanted to go to.

They brought the food out and you began to eat. You asked her how she was doing since you hadn’t seen her in a few days. Florence told you that she’d been doing good and asked you the same. You’d been doing well. You continued to eat after she got new silverware from dropping hers.

Lunch was great. You paid and left the restaurant. You walked down the road to the first shop. A clothing shop. You tried on and bought a few pairs of pants. She didn’t get anything,so you walked to the next shop. A shop for decorations and stuff for a house. She got a plant and some bowls. You got some candles.

The next shop was also a clothing shop. You chose not to get anything. But as she tried on the clothes,you bought her something,paying before she saw. She paid for her items and you left the store. You had both decided you were done shopping and headed back towards the cars.

Before you went your separate ways,you took the item out of the bag. You gave it to her. You knew she liked cooking so you wanted to give her something for it. She kept telling you how much she liked it. A yellow apron covered with bees. She thanked you again. You both said goodbye and went home.

DAY 1

First encounter (F,Y/N)

You were on your way to meet your friend. You have been friends since the beginning of the year,but you were finally going to her house. You were supposed to get there around 2,instead you arrived an hour late. She met you at your car after you parked it. She hugged you when you finally got out of the car and led you inside the house. Her brother was in the living room playing a game. You followed her to her bedroom.

She turned on the radio and showed you around her room as the music played. Showing you her favorite pictures she had taken while on vacation. What her favorite places were and things she ate. She even showed you the stuffed animal she got from one of her recent trips. She suggested you going with her for the next one.

By the time she was finished,it was time for lunch,which her mother had made. You both went downstairs to the kitchen. Her brother was already in there along with her sister. It was the first time you ever met her.

She looked similar to her sister except she had blonde hair. You ended up sitting across from her.Your friend introduced her sister to you. You found out her name was Florence. When she spoke,you wouldn’t be lying if you said you nearly melted at hearing her voice.

After lunch,you helped clean up,even though they insisted you didn’t. They still appreciated it. You and your friend,along with her siblings,decided to watch a movie together. After the movie,you had to go home. You said goodbye to her family and thanked her mother for the meal.

Your friend walked you to your car,saying goodbye to you. As you drove back home you couldn’t stop smiling. You only knew that was your first encounter,unknown to you,that was only the first encounter you wold have with her.
