There are very few things that I really truly want in life.

1 full time job that pays all of the bills and puts some money in the savings, instead of 2 jobs that barely get us by. Time & money to make my motorcycle run for the first time in over a year and a half. Lots of gas for said motorcycle upon running. A separate bedroom for my son. (Which means the wife and I get our own again) Literally all I want right now. I will be so incredibly happy when we have those things.

One night at a hotel bar in Texas, someone told me the story of a man who for years made audio recordings of all his favorite sounds: trains passing through town at night, wind in the trees, crashing ocean waves, fire crackling in a fireplace, certain birds, thunder and rain on the roof… He did it so that if he ever became sick and incapacitated, he could listen to those sounds to remind himself of the things in life worth loving and holding onto.
