This is the first image you will see when you open VENUS ON MARS, my next book project running on Kickstarter, please check it out LINK IN BIO Orel search for Venus on Mars on Kickstarter. The image illustrate why size matters when viewing images. On a phone you have to zoom to even understand the image, not so in an Art book. I love this image though, itās @roarie_yum somewhere on the Escalante river in a huge expanse of Navajo sandstone (I think please correct me if Iām wrong). The sandstone get its color because it contains iron oxide which reacts when exposed to weather and various minerals over time. The shot was a bit challenging: we were just the two of us in a fiberglass speedboat. So I had to very gently pilot the boat close enough for Roarie to disembark, sail away and into position alternating shooting, instructing and avoiding crashing the boat as it was drifting. Having a third driver would have been handy for this. And then carefully pilot it back in and pick up Roarie again without hitting the rocks (see the second pic - and the video. Oh an in case you wonder the iPhone pic balances out the redness so it looks really boring, color correction is also something I discuss in the book under editing). - Anyway - PLEASE Click the Link in my bio and check out the VENUS ON MARS Kickstarter project. š (her: Escalante River) https://www.instagram.com/p/B0wYLSJhIzU/?igshid=1i5mkwfqrc2yw
