BIG AWESOME ANNOUNCEMENT EVERYONE READ

SO. Valentines is coming up and Tumblr released their ship roster.... Pureshadow is TOP 13TH. And to add even more to this insanity IT HAD A "SHIP SO NICE IT WAS ACCIDENTALLY COUNTED TWICE" WITH SHADOWVANILLA BEING 84TH THIS IS WILD! INSANE! I NEVER EVEN EXPECTED IT WOULD EVEN MAKE IT TO TOP 20 LET ALONE HAVE AN EXTREMELY FUNNY DATA OOPSIE WITH POPULARITY

In lieu of this revelation, I felt it was finally time to announce a project I have been working on since.... March? 2025! I've kept it super down-low except for showing some friends my progress but otherwise no posts about it. Until now.

I FORMALLY ANNOUNCE MY (RATHER SUBTLE) SHADOWVANILLA ANIMATIC

While some of these teasers are more sketchy/incomplete and there's only a few, there's good reason for this! Two main ones:

I am wanting to keep much of the bigger scenes/details under wraps until I have fully released the animatic

I have a high quality / high effort mentality to this, and due to a massive shift in how I approached this animatic between the very first panels I made in March versus now, as well as making a HUGE upgrade to a significantly better drawing tablet (my old one was literally falling to pieces, cord held together by duct-tape and a dream) I am having to go back and rework some of my panels and their timing.

Due to this I am only showing what I feel is worthy of being shown at the moment that both is "high enough quality" and doesn't spoil any of the major parts I have planned. NOW ENOUGH RAMBLING! COME GET YOUR SLOP!!!

I have no official date set for when this will fully release due to the nature of this animatic being high effort (probably a little too much) and being in college. I know that I will MOST LIKELY have it out by this year. Sadly highly doubt I'll be able to finish it before the end of this era in CRK, I wanted to finish it last year but school and my dying tablet put a pause to that

Miscellaneous dark choco and dragon eye drawings/sketches (plus the black and white dragons, but my vision of them... kinda)

Second one is dragon eye but an actual newborn aka sentient wet sausage shaped cottonball, third one I drew while listening to my class lectures because I needed to do something with my hands and made dark choco ALSO listen to lectures while getting simultaneously harassed by small child, third is just dragoneye meeting dark cocao's dragons for the first time

I am a dark choco being a father figure to dragon eye truther and i will die on this white playdough snake shaped hill

I need to rework eternal sugar cuz my design for her has changed since last year, and also her art is really hard to read at times so she'll get a rehaul. Mystic flour and hollyberry also needs some touchups but not as significantly as ES

Posting this before i do it because im lazy as hell to wait on posting it when i have corrections done and my arm is killing me from silent salt's armor

Mystic Flour - Spider pony (usually just looks like a normal earth pony)

Burning Spice - Centipede Pony?? Earth pony with centipede and tiger traits

Pure Vanilla - Unicorn (?)

Shadow Milk - Yes! Maybe? All of the above.

i know of course that fandoms are not immune from cultural and societal biases but it still disappoints me that people in fandom will be blatantly sexist and racist and not even critically think about where exactly those takes are coming from

SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK 🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣

Some of y'all SERIOUSLY need better awareness and critical thinking, especially when it comes to POC characters; particularly this issue is more prevalent with black characters and women of color, and how you perceive and react to them.

It's shockingly and VERY concerningly common to see this issue occur and to see the lack of self-awareness or flat out willful ignorance to their own internal biases coming out into fandom spaces and their interactions with media. All too often, there is hypercriticality or malice lunged at POC characters, but their white counterparts or even white characters who are absolutely abominable with their views and/or actions get a pass or even end up with sympathizers trying to excuse their actions and views.

Not to mention, it's getting frighteningly more prevalent/common with the rise of right-wing talking points and ideology; at least here in the States.

We need to be aware and alert about this, and always view media and the analysis or reaction to media, INCLUDING OUR -OWN- VIEWS AND ACTIONS, with a critical and analytical eye. We need to question the "why" behind all of it instead of jumping onto and believing in first instinct.

Might as well post these, they're pretty old (roughly, what, two years old now?) and they're my renditions of Spyro and Cynder from the hit game like 5 people care about Legend of Spyro. Childhood game of mine that I hold close to my heart, might redraw these someday for a fresh coat of paint and whatnot
