“And here I thought we were starting to get along much better,” he rolled his eyes, “who were you hoping for then, so I can fetch them and set your mood better.”
jotunnprins:
Ah, it’s you, brother.
“Were you expecting someone else? Sorry to disappoint.”
So, are we still on for tutoring?
sokovianpsychic:
Alright. [She browses the menu, trying to decide on what she wanted.] What are you getting?
“The same thing I always get,” he replied, “general tso’s chicken with lo mien.”

Jessica was trying to get ride of some of the water on her clothes while he talked. But his words made her stop and stare at him, jaw dropped. This guy could not be serious. If they were in any other situation she would just turn her back and walk away, certain that he was completely crazy. But he just saved her life (and was freaking handsome), so she wouldn’t just leave.
“Look, you look like a very nice guy, you saved my life and all that. But I didn’t get the joke. Maybe I will at it laugh tomorrow, but right now this just sounds pretty stupid and creepy.” - she sneezed. It would be no good to be standing on the middle of the park like that - “Let’s discuss that once we get somewhere warm, Mr. Secret Identity.”
She grabbed her backpack on the floor, next to the statue the put down and started walking, although she wasn’t sure where she was going.
Thor wasn’t totally surprised when she seemed to think he was pulling her leg; grasping the fact that he wasn’t from this planet could definitely be a tough feat. Part of him was sort of relieved he had to admit, because at least she wouldn’t go around telling people that he was who he was, since she didn’t even believe him. At least for now his identity was safe. “Alright.” He shrugged, not really caring too much if he sounded stupid and creepy; maybe that would deter her from wanting to associate with her, and honestly that wasn’t the worst thing in the world. Not because he didn’t like her, and didn’t want to help her, but because the less people he had to fool into thinking he was Midgardian the better.
“Lead the way then.” He gestured, waiting to follow along as she started walking. He fell into step next to her -- which was rather difficult since his legs were much longer than hers -- and wondering briefly where they were going. He just hoped wherever it was, had a clean, dry shirt for him.
Texts from Jen
Jennifer: Very funny.
Jennifer: Probably true.
Donald: I have my moments.
Donald: Why don't you try a different game if it's so frustrating?
So, are we still on for tutoring?
sokovianpsychic:
[She hums, thinking for a moment.] Chinese takeout.
“Okay, I think I have a menu for a good Chinese place that delivers around here somewhere.” He dug through some of his kitchen drawers before pulling the menu he was looking for out of the drawer and handing it to her. “Just let me know when you decide what you want and I’ll call it in.” He nodded, Thor always got the same thing from that place so he already knew what he would order for himself.
So, are we still on for tutoring?
sokovianpsychic:
No, food sounds good. I haven’t eaten all day.
“Alright, food it is. What are you in the mood for? Pizza? Burgers? Burritos?”
sifofthestars:
[She rolls her eyes at him.] I’ve seen girls do worse than break down doors on these streets. [She sits heavily onto the nearest flat surface, which just so happens to be a table.] And yet I still didn’t see you today. Which would not be a problem if I wasn’t growing restless in this realm.
“That’s true, some parties get a little out of hand around here.” He agreed, watching her as she plopped down on his table. “Probably because I mostly hung around here.” He shrugged, he didn’t ever give it much thought on whether or not it was easy for Sif or Loki to find him, they could both come upon him if they really needed him. “Restless? Are you already bored of the Midgardians, Sif?”
iworemyleatherjacket:
She was able to smile, still a little stiffly, when he ended up agreeing to let her clean the shirt for him. It made her feel lucky for the first time that day. Best of all,she would need to give the shirt back once she was done. She reached her pocket, but then she realized. Her phone was soaked in water. She
“Shit. I’m sorry Donald. We will need to figure out other way to meet so I can give your shirt back. My phone is fucked up.” - she tried to use it, just to find out that the screen was all blue and refusing to respond to commands.
However, she needed to stop and look at him rising and eyebrow as he offered her help to sort out thing. Maybe she was right, maybe he was too handsome to be only a human and was a extraterrestrial guy or something like that.
“Hm… and what the hell do you know about… this?” - She looked at him with the same puzzled face as before.
He watched her fish her phone out of her pocket, seeing that she was a little more frustrated to find that her phone had been the butt of the joke now that it was soaked in water. “That’s alright, I can just write mine down for you and you can send me a text or something when you get it sorted out.” He offered with a kind smile, proud of how Midgardian he sounded. He didn’t know where he would get a pen or paper to do so, now that he thought about it, because he couldn’t very well waltz into a near by store to get some while he was soaking and shirtless.
He stopped a little short when she asked how he knew about all this, and he realized he’d walked himself right into that one. But what else was he supposed to do? Let her wander around with unlearned abilities and possibly hurt an innocent bystander? That would not blow over well for his conscious or his father. He had two choices, lie about how exactly he knew, or just let this one person know the truth about him. He weighed the outcomes of both and struggled to come to a good conclusion. Eventually he decided he couldn’t help the younger female without giving away that he himself had abilities that he had to learn to control once upon a time -- luckily he’d had his father to teach him and his brother to learn with. And Sif, and the others of course. “I am from Asgard. Whether you know what that is or not, know I am very powerful, but my true identity still must remain a secret, for now. Until I know I can trust you.”
sifofthestars:
[Sif practically bursts through Thor’s dorm room door.] You are very lucky that was open. I was not above destroying school property to come in here today.
Thor turned his head at the sound of Sif’s loud entrance into his apartment, he would have been surprised, had he not known Sif. “Do we really need to draw that kind of attention to ourselves?” He raised an amused eyebrow at her. “You act like I’m a hard man to find. I tower over everyone, and I’m like twice the width, I stick out.”
iworemyleatherjacket:
“Hm… okay… I guess I’ll take your advise.” - She rose her brow as he so casually talked about flying. Wasn’t this freaking him out? From which planet did this crazy handsome guy came from? She was still speechless. Everything was too much for her, thankfully he kept talking, so she didn’t need to say more about her failed take off attempt.
“Oh! Yeah, I insist. I can clean it at my place. It will be brand new, I promise.” - very smooth Jessica. next thing she would invite him over to see her mother’s washing machine or whatsoever. She wished she could just dig a hole to hide inside, but her hero was always too nice, and made her feel a little less uncomfortable as he casually introduced himself. - I’m Jessica. Jones.”
She shook his hand, she was still wet, and tried to not mess it up too much.
“I sometimes give good advice, and I think this is one of those times.” He nodded, chuckling a little. He could tell she was waiting for him to freak out, but he was not new to this world -- that is the world of abilities that weren’t necessarily human. “Okay, sounds great. Thanks.” He offered, wondering if he was making her uncomfortable or nervous or something, since she seemed really passionate about cleaning his shirt for him.
He shook her hand when it slipped into his, both of their skin still wet from their little dip, and he had to admit, his jeans were getting very uncomfortable the longer his stood in them. Damn, why did Midgardian’s deal with this shit? Jeans were a horrible invention in his mind. “Nice to meet you Jessica. If you ever want any help, I don’t mind helping you figure this all out. But you can’t tell anyone I’m helping you.” He didn’t think that would be a problem since she herself was scared that he would be tattling on her, but he figured he should probably cover the basis. No one needed to come sniffing around and finding out he was really Thor Odinson.
Over-due Prescription for Fun
janejugglingfoster:
Jane laughed despite herself at the ‘studies’ comment, her attempted glared ruined by the breathes of laughter that tickled her mouth up into an amused smile. Not five minutes in and Jane was remembering why she used to date. Besides as much as she’d love to get back to her studies after the date she had to focus on making her apartment not a hazmat zone. But again, those thoughts were supposed to be banned for now.
Jane tucked the stem of the lilies under her are and refocused herself “I don’t have any food allergies so you’re safe on that front.” Really, Jane might live solely on coffee, cereal, ramen, and the occasional whiskey but she could eat just about anything. She debated for a second suggesting Vigil, but a bar was hardly a place for a first date. Especially not when she’d be distracted by the new. Make sure Spider-Man was doing alright. Wait, shit. She had adopted another vigilante, hadn’t she? And again her mind had betrayed her. Dammit. Jane shrugged, Donald was being very sweet giving her options but her mind was drawling a blank, or rather running off to do other things. “How about your favorite place?” Dad always said you could learn a lot about a person from where their favorite waterhole was.
Thor nodded thoughtfully, now that he knew that she wasn’t allergic to anything he could maybe try cooking for her one night -- granted this date went well and she wanted to go on another with him -- since he was still trying to get the hang of it and it would be nice to have someone besides his brother to attempt for. He realized that his mind was going off on a tangent of what he could do for future dates, and slapped himself mentally because he really shouldn’t be moving ahead of himself. This was his first date with a Midgardian and he could very well screw it up so badly she never wanted to see him again. “Mine?” He quizzed, he wasn’t deaf but he wasn’t sure the little pizzeria around the corner was much of first date material.
It wasn’t the type of thing he’d come to expect of himself for their first date, but she seemed to want him to pick, and he wouldn’t force her to pick. He could either draw at random or take his chances with the pizzeria. It wasn’t the lowest class place he could take her, but it wasn’t the highest either. He weighed the pros and cons heavily, and quickly, in his head before nodded and offering his arm to her. Was that too formal? He couldn’t take it back now, so he hoped on. “My favorite place it is, but don’t judge me, I haven’t tried a whole lot of places around here.” He warned, starting to walk with her away from the library, leading the way to his favorite place to eat -- at least of the few places he’d tried. He opened the door for her, watching her eyes for her reaction as he did, and held it so she could go inside.
Texts from Jen
Jennifer: SOMEBODY must be or they wouldn't keep making the damn games
Donald: Maybe they just enjoy your frustration over it.
brucebdnner:
[When Bruce walked into the room, the last thing he expected to see was a bad-tempered blond shoving his fist into the wall as if it was made of graham crackers rather than an actual wall. He glanced around, backing up a bit to nudge the door closed behind him with his foot. This was weird, and interesting. Maybe it was a bit hypocritical to get nosy when catching people doing things that just weren’t… normal, but he kind of couldn’t help himself.]
[He watched the other guy for a few seconds before responding slowly and somewhat awkwardly,] Um. Well… it looks like you just wrecked the wall. Without wrecking your hand. Is there an explanation for that?
[He was pretty certain that guy didn’t have any damage to his hand. There wasn’t blood or anything, so unless it was just internally fractured or shattered or something and the guy was just really good at hiding it. The guy could be on something. Like… PCP. Or something equally terrifying. Okay. Bruce took a very small step back, ready to grab the handle and run if he needed to.] You alright?
Thor looked from his hand to the wall to the man standing in the doorway. How was he supposed to explain this? He stared down at his hand for a long time, almost willing the skin to pucker and burst open like a new wound from the collision with the wall; but it didn’t because that definitely wasn’t a power he possessed. “Fuck.” He uttered under his breath, to himself; he hoped the other hadn’t heard him. “Not really....” He admitted, looking back to his company, finally responding to his question of if Thor had an explanation for his unscathed hand.
“Yeah, it only hurts a little. Must’ve been the adrenaline.” He breathed, hoping that could pass for a decent answer and the guy would be satisfied with it. “I just let my anger get the better of me for a moment, but it’s settled now, no need to be scared.” He gestured towards the other, obviously noting that he was inching his way closer to the door and that he was rather tense about walking in on Thor shoving his hand through the wall.

“Shit, thanks… so a own you more than my life. I’m never fucking trying to fly again.” - she hated herself inside her head. That sounded totally ridiculous, wasn’t she unable to look cool in front of cute guys? Jessica stood up finally able to breath again. It was amazing that she was feeling good already, was this part of her new set of abilities? She would have to sort it out later, as for now she just took his shirt and twisted it, so it would be as dry as possible, but it was no use, it still looked terrible. - “Please, let me clean it to you. it’s the least I can do for you, Mr… hm…?”
“You shouldn’t give up on flying. You seem to have a natural talent for it. You took off very smoothly. But perhaps you should try to get a better grip of it....may I suggest somewhere where you can’t drown?” He offered, kinda teasing her for her little mistake. He was fairly impressed, she seemed very new to her abilities and already she was strong in them. Well, as strong as one can be when one is new to the field. He stood up when she did, since he figured it would be weird if he didn’t, watching her as she wrung the water out of the shirt. “Oh, if you really want to I guess. I have a bunch like it, so its no rush.” He flashed her a charming smile before realizing he still hadn’t introduced himself when she stuttered of his name. “Blake. Donald Blake.” He offered. “And you? What’s your name?”
So, are we still on for tutoring?
(sokovianpsychic:)
Fine…[After an hour or so of calculus, Wanda pushes the book away.] Can we take a break? Please?
“Yes.” He nodded, leaning back in his chair. “I think you’ve earned a break, do you want to get some food? Or did you want me to let you go off on your own for a bit and you can let me know when you’re ready to get back to it?”
