The Stars Shine Brighter in Asgard - Thor x Reader (Part 2)
Note: Hey guys! I’m so sorry for not posting in a while, but I’m slowly running out of free time. I must warn you that my school starts tomorrow and I will have ABSOLUTELY no time for the drabble, and I will be closing my ask box until I am done with the few pending requests. I might only have time to write one during the weekends, if at all. But ship requests will remain open. Anyhow, I thank @fantasymind86 and @crazyfangirl345 for the requesting a Part two for this, and I hope you like it!!! Oh and since this has got multiple parts now, I felt I should change the title. Also, imagine your in Natalie Portman’s place in that gif and that your in Asgard. Sorry if its so small, I wanted to put the rest in the next part :) which i will be doing when the hiatus ends. Just managed to post my last, will greatly miss you all.
F/B - Favorite Food (for lunch)
Warnings: Fic done hastily and with a sense of nostalgia due to my long absence after this. Might not make sense, and gif also more appropriate for next part.
You gazed out of the window with your half forgotten F/F on the table in front of you. It had been two months since your encounter with Thor in the library and the intense discussions that had taken place that weekend. Despite the time that had passed, the startling things that he had said about the universe were still fresh in your mind, since you though about it at all times.
You had many doubts in your head, the chief one being whether he had just lied about the entire thing and was some crazy man who had taken advantage of your nerdy self. You longed to believe otherwise, but common sense, however annoying, can not be so easily overcome. So each day after that, you waited for some sort of proof to everything that had happened. You even visited the library more frequently secretly hoping that he would be there.
You had to go on with life though, so here you were on a lunch break just after a hectic day’s work in your office were you worked. On realizing that it was time to get back to work, you quickly finished the rest of your meal and went back.
The rest of the day passed by with the same drag as always, and you quickly got back to your house. You wearily climbed the stairs, opened the door to your apartment and switched on the lights. When your gaze went to your balcony, you spotted someone standing there. He wore a red cape adn different clothes.
Your entire body stiffened, wondering whether to shout or take other measures. But before you came to a decision, the tall figure turned around. the hair stood on your arms when you saw it wasn’t just any man. It was that man.
“Thor?!” you said nervously, straightening your glasses with now shaking hands.
A large smile broke out on his. “So you remember me.” he said with a booming voice. You, on the other hand weren’t all that ready to share in the joy yet.
“Where in the world have you been?!” you said, barely containing the shouts that came out with a mix of anger and excitement. “You can’t just walk out like that and disappear for two months after saying things like that!”
The smile slightly diminished when he saw that you were mad at him. He took a sort of hammer from the table, that most definitely belonged to him. Your fear increased at the sight of it. “My apologies lady Y/N, I was called back to Asgard, so I was unable to see you after that.”
“Again the space talk! And how did you manage to find my apartment?” You said, folding your arms.
“Heimdall, a dear friend, knew where you lived.” he replied as though that was supposed to fully answer your doubt.
“Look Thor, how will I ever know if what you said about the universe is true? You didn’t exactly have proof that day.” you said.
“If that is the case, it would be my pleasure to take you to Asgard myself.” he said calmly.
“Say what?!” you said, surprise instantly replacing your anger.
“Would you like to come with me to Asgard Y/N?” he said, holding out his hand. This was insane, you thought. Here was the man who disappeared for two months after giving you strange information, and all of a sudden, here he was, offering to take you to some extra terrestrial place, which might not even exist.
Your more responsible side was screaming at you to refuse, but your curious side was winning again. You took an unsure step towards him and put your hands in his. He gave you a reassuring smile and led you out of your apartment. You had a feeling that you wouldn’t be returning back here for a long while.
He led you to the center of the empty street just outside your apartment. He looked at you with a glint in his eyes. “You might want to hold on” he said, putting his hand around you. Your heart immediately started fluttering, but you uncertainly followed his advice.
He held his hammer up at the sky. Suddenly, a large flash of light shot from the sky and surrounded the two of you in the form of a tunnel. Your hands gripped him tighter, and your opened your mouth to scream, but no voice came out. Before you could fully process what was happening, you shout up the light tunnel thing.
The world blurred around you as you sped up in a lightening speed. You were soon speeding past millions and millions of stars and planets and galaxies. Your shock and fear went away as you looked around in awe, wondering whether it was actually happening, or if you were just dreaming. But it felt so real, so beautiful.
Soon enough, you went straight through bright white light, and your feet suddenly hit ground. You would have stumbled if Thor’s strong hands hadn’t steadied you.You found yourself in a round brass like room. You got out of Thor’s embrace and looked around, feeling a little giddy.
You spotted another man standing on a sort of elevation. His eyes glowed like fire, and he wore a weird looking gold helmet.
You looked at Thor for reassurance, who suddenly looked comparatively normal to the other person, or whatever he was. You felt almost relieved when he said, “Y/N, this is Heimdall. He had been watching over you since our first meeting back on earth.”
You looked at him in complete shock. He had just confirmed that you had traveled millions and millions of miles to who-knows-where.
You replied, almost stuttering awkwardly, “Back….back on earth?! Then where have you brought me?”
Heimdall replied in a booming voice like Thor’s, a deceptively kind smile on his lips.
“Lady Y/N, welcome to Asgard.”
