(Recipe below ⬇️ eng/ger) What to do with leftover salad/lettuce? • Well, we were gifted huge amounts of corn salad (why do you call it corn salad? Or lambs lettuce.. seems odd to me 😄) about a week ago and even after having it for dinner every single day, there was so much left. • So what do you do with all that green stuff? Exactly, you make green pesto 👍🏻 Easiest way to use everything up and if you make a few jars full you can gift them to friends and family 🤗 • Recipe❤️ + 100g corn salad + 50g roasted pine nuts + 1 garlic clove + 2 tbsp lemon juice + 20g nutritional yeast or parmesan cheese + 2 tbsp olive oil (and some more) = first blend the pine nuts then add in the rest and blend til everything has the consistency of your liking, add to a glass jar with lid and put olive oil on top for preservation. 🌱 • • Was stellt man mit übrig gebliebenem Salat ? • Wir haben vor ungefähr einer Woche Unmengen an Feldsalat geschenkt bekommen und trotzdem das wir jeden Abend davon gegessen haben, hätten wir bis gestern so viel über! • Also, was macht man mit den Grünzeug? Richtig, man macht grünes Pesto. Wenn man genug Gläser voll kriegt, kann man es super an Freunde und Familie verschenken. 🤗 • Rezept❤️ + 100g Feldsalat + 50g geröstete Pinienkerne + 1 Knoblauchzehe + 2 EL Zitronensaft + 20g Hefeflocken oder Parmesan + 2 EL Olivenöl = erst mixt man die Pinienkerne in einer Küchenmaschine, dann fügt man den Rest hinzu und püriert bis alles die gewünschte Konsistenz erreicht hat. Um das Pesto zu konservieren füllt man es erst in ein Schraubglas und füllt dieses dann bis zum Rand mit Olivenöl. 🌱 • #pesto #lettuce #nowastehere #food #vegan #homemade #zerowastecommunity #recipe

...be the change! Something I always try to remember. Be open, be kind, be proud about the things you really believe in.. especially if it’s about saving our planet! Answer questions, live by your values (if it’s possible, don’t push yourself.. be proud about the little things!) and represent the things you care about. For me it’s answering peoples questions in the supermarket and educating people about sustainability, how they could help one step at a time. Living by my values with little exeptions, because I’m human and perfect is a word that doesn’t exist for me in that way. Taking your journey one day at a time, one little thing at a time. For me challenges like #zerowastefebruary or movements like #thelowimpactmovement started by people who were once at the same point as I am really inspire me and fuel my belief in human kind. Believe in yourself, believe in others, believe in our community. What a beautiful sunday morning it is here in ice cold Germany! ☀️☀️ • One thing I really missed having is cream cheese since starting my journey towards zero waste and recently going full vegan. I needed to start making my own because here in Germany cream cheese comes in plastic.. always. • So, here is my first attempt: cashew cream cheese ! I like my creme cheese not too sweet but also not too hefty.. I guess mild is the right word. Although this recipe is on the heftier side I really like it - If you want to give it a try please let me know and I‘ll share it with you 🤗 • Do you make your own cream cheese?
