Crystal rolled her eyes hearing him, a small laugh leaving her. “That’s fine by me, you can do the work of starting everything. You act like I don’t know how to please and finish myself off.” She sated with a shrug. Hearing him yawn she smiled softly. “Shh, some of us are trying to sleep, thank you.”

Another small laugh fell from Fagin’s lips. It was quiet though. “I’m not saying that you don’t. But playing by yourself is by far nowhere near as fun as playing with a partner,” He shrugged a shoulder. Slowly he began to slide down in the bed. Flickering eyes meant he’d basically given up on paying attention to the film at this point. “It’s a body function. I can’t control how loud it is. Don’t bust my ass.” His arm around Crystal loosened a bit.

With his cloth in hand, Quentin dabbed at a couple of his fingers that gotten damp on the condensation of the freshly cleaned glasses. He gave a half-hearted shrug at the question, before leaning in and resting against the surface between himself and the patron side of the bar. “Well, sometimes you get a couple of ‘um drunk enough and they think that everyone here is a dancer. That and the hen parties.”

Fagin wrapped his hand around the glass, starring down into the liquid a moment. Eventually his attempted snapped back to the bartender. “Fucking hell,” He laughed, shaking his head. “Surely the women are a laugh though? Wouldn’t a hen party make it easier to pull?”

“No. Not exactly…” She sighed. She deserved the groan. “I’m working things out with ‘im. I just…also need to work things out with Neal. Or figure things out. I don’t know. I love Lucifer. I really do.” She knew how bad that sounded. “I…It’s not possible to care for more than one person, is it? Like genuinely and shit?”

Fagin squinted as he listened to Eloise talk. “I don’t buy that you have genuine feelings for Neal,” He shook his head. “You can’t just pull the old ‘But daddy, I love them both’ thing, just because you can’t fuckin’ pick one,” The man snorted and shook his head again. “What were you missing with Lucifer that meant you strayed back to Neal? Because if you were getting everything with him, there’d have been no need for Lucifer.”

“Women are capable of anything,” she said before shrugging. “Are we really done with you? i’m sure I can pick at your brain a little longer if you let me.” She frowned again. She guessed she couldn’t keep much from him for long. “Everything is kinda shit. But it’s my own fault…..I umm….started ‘anging out with Neal again….”

Fagin grimaced as soon as the man’s name was mentioned. “Oh fucking hell El,” He groaned and rolled his eyes. Then there was a pause. “So I’m assuming the whole relationship thing is down the pan then?” He said with a small smirk growing on his face, eyebrow raised in her direction. “I thought you were happy and shit? Was the dude not putting out?”

“Rocks on the way.” The man chimed back, having to step back to the cabinet behind to retrieve the whiskey. With the ice clunked into the glass and a splash of the drink to join it, he handed it across the bar. “Just dropping by, or got an evening planned?”

Fagin watched with a resting smile as his drink was made. “I dunno,” He shrugged a shoulder. “I just came down for a break. I don’t usually stay in bars very long. People piss me off,” Fagin sat up with a laugh. “Do you get annoyed by customers much?”

Despite going so long with an avoidance of familiarity, Quentin was good at keeping the chit chat going when it came to work. He’d acquired a skill for small talk that could last an evening. It was good to keep the punters talking too - means they drank more, and he sold more. The weekdays required a little more charm to keep them going though, since most people had work the next day. Ah, here comes another. “What can I get for ya tonight, eh? Soda, or something a little stronger?”

Fagin dropped down at the bar a couple of minutes earlier. When the bartender eventually approached, he flashed a grin. “Whiskey on the rocks please mate.”

“I’ve actually drank a considerable amount,” Valerie slurred, swaying a bit, but not falling over her feet just yet. “I feel bad for you. It’s gonna be pr-etty hard to catch up. I got an iron liver. But you should join me. We should dance, get tattoos, let me kick your ass at Mario Kart…”

Fagin raised his eyebrows and laughed, wiggling a finger a the brunette. “I ain’t a lightweight like some people,” His few steps back were stumbled slightly. “Also that’s unfair because I’ve literally played Mario Kart all of once in my life before.”

Crystal was surprised he wasn’t pushing her off. She wouldn’t have been upset with it, but it was expected a little. So when he didn’t she relaxed completely against him. At his words she wiggled a little. “Is that how my mornings are going to be starting now? What happens if a misbehave?”

“Well,” Fagin turned to look down at her with a smirk. “Not always,” He chuckled. “If you misbehave, I’ll eat you out but just stop when you’re about to finish,” He shrugged with another laugh before turning to look at the screen. As he did so, a loud yawn fell from his mouth. “Fucking hell.”

“Oh piss off. You are so worth it.” And she knew of a few others who would say the same thing. “Well let’s ‘ope she’s not a raging ‘ypocrite then.” She stared at the smoke as it faded into the air. She made a face at him. “Nasty.” She shook her head. “As long as she doesn’t ruin you, she’s fine with me. Not that my approval matters. But good for you. Getting your shit straight.”

“I mean ---” Fagin grimaced before turning to her. “I don’t think she’d be able to ruin me.” In reality, Fagin believed quite the opposite. Not that he’d admit though. “I’m trying, I’m trying,” He chuckled. As he stubbed his cigarette out on the bench, Fagin took a couple of breathes. “So, that’s me done. What’s going on with you?”

“I am excited you stupid fuck. You can’t tell?” She shoved him back. “You ‘ave to stay clean for you. No matter what. People come and go but you don’t. You are stuck with you.” Advice she should probably be giving herself, but she didn’t care. She knew she was a hypocrite. “Does she use? Or ‘as she used before? Because if not that might make it easier…being around someone who doesn’t deal with that shit.”

His immediate reaction was a snort. “I can’t stay clean for me. Have you seen me? I’m not exactly worth it,” Fagin shrugged. “I don’t think so. She doesn’t really seem like the type. She’s always proper gone on at me for using, so I’m pretty sure she hasn’t,” He took a long drag from the cig before blowing the smoke out above them. “She’s a college sorority girl. She’s pretty clean cut, good student, well behaved, comes from a good family -- Parties, but just alcohol. I’m probably gonna ruin her - in as many ways as the phrase insinuates.” Smirk on his face, he gave a playful wink in his friend’s direction.

Crystal smiled to herself felling his hand. It was sweet, and simple. “Well, you’re not coming back fast enough.” Watching him come back she got a little more comfortable in his bed. Keeping her eyes on the screen, the feeling of his arm around her shoulders surprised her. Looking up at him she smiled happily, shuffling up against his side. With an arm lazily wrapped around his middle she rested her head against his chest.

Fagin looked down, watching as Crystal shuffled into his chest. Yet another unfamiliar feeling. “Come on,” He chuckled eventually, looking from her to the screen. “Watch the film and go to sleep. If you behave, I’ll eat you out in the morning.” This was by far probably going to be one of Fagin’s favorite parts of the relationship.
