I will be implementing stats for whether you have the skill to do an option! "Risk It" is a feature thats,,,basically gambling,,, to allow you to try and attempt the choice without the stats needed! it has higher consequences if you fail, and your succeeding is based on your willpower stat!
Why choose Yellowstone national park…?

Thank you for your ask! I chose specifically Yellowstone for a few reasons. I have previously expressed for a realistic setting, or at least as grounded in reality as i can get it! The first question that then came to me was, where would this work? There's a large amount of missing people, they need the space to affectively have a compound, it needs to be hard to find and hard to leave from.
Yellowstone National Park is 3,472 ***square miles*** that's 8,991 square kilometers 2,221,766 acres across 3 states. Most of Yellowstone remains unexplored. Thus, I felt that it was the perfect place for this kind of setting. People go missing all the time in Yellowstone, and due to the fauna of Yellowstone, most searches do not last long. It also just has *chefs kiss* vibes :)

I do hope to prove myself worthy of the interest, as passion can only take one's self so far. (also ur my first ask hehehehehe)
Small warning for my toby fans, my toby will not have tourettes syndrome, but rather ocd. I am chosing this, not out of a lack of confidence to represent tourettes syndrome, but rather because i feel those tourettes syndrome + CIPA, opens a large door for comorbidities. For those who do not know, I'm a licensed medical professional, and i take accurate representation very seriously. While looking into the realistic experience of having CIPA as well as those having tourettes, it is MUCH MUCH more then just having tics and not feeling pain. Sensory input, intrusive thoughts, impulsive thoughts, mood swings, temperature dysregulation and corneal ulcers are just the tip of the iceburg. For that reason my Toby will have CIPA and OCD, as OCD still keeps thr core behaviors of what make toby "weird" (repetitive stims, vocalizations, compulsive words and actions) as well as i get to put more focus into the physical representation of CIPA and how it can affect people who make it to adulthood. (which is rare enough on its own)

Through Gauntlet is planned to be an interactive fiction piece, ideally a visual novel in time, where YOU!!! the reader, have been abducted and find yourself lost in the middle of Yellowstone national park, amongst others fighting to survive and learn more about your mysterious captors (the creepypastas lmao) Currently the team is just me, however i'm hoping to receive help from a friend and maybe make an actual team as i have a real passion for horror and visual novels!
