‘‘Niggas burn bridges then want u to send a boat’‘ - Fab
He who loves much… There is a story of a repentant sinner in Luke 7:36-50. She was an uninvited, unexpected and unwanted guest at the house of Simon the Pharisee. However, Simon was spiritually blind, as he failed to see that the woman loved Jesus much, because she had been forgiven much. Her actions towards Jesus spoke of the changed condition of her heart.
“He who does not love, does not know God, for God is Love” (1 John 4:8).
Those who understand what it means to be forgiven and loved by God, often demonstrate love towards God and towards others in extraordinary ways.
They give of their time and wealth to build others and ultimately God’s Kingdom. They are compassionate, forgiving and kind, on account of what they personally know about God.
The next time you see the love of God poured out in such a way that you cannot understand, think about the woman who washed Jesus feet with her tears and used the most expensive oil and her hair to wipe His feet. Jesus said of her,
“I tell you, her sins–and they are many–have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love.”
Think about what Jesus would say the next time you judge someone because of their love for Jesus; their resources; their time; their freely pouring out God’s Love towards others… Perhaps they have been forgiven much? ©️ Ruth Dickson www.ruthdickson.com www.gihonpublishing.com

When I’m at the top of the mountain I will shout, “Lord I trust You!”
When I’m at the bottom of the valley I will still shout, “Lord I trust You!”
I trust You in the highs and lows, for You are always good to me.
