A small cuff link box. Eu cherry and black walnut. Lined with an artificial suade. The top is carved with the owners initials and the family crest
Working on a built in tv unit. A plywood carcass with black walnut top and front.
The veneered mdf is lipped and kept continuous across the front of the cabinet.
Desk all finished and installed. This comes apart into 3 pieces. A top unit with three drawers and two legs.
For the most part this is made it birch plywood, the edges are hidden behind oak strips.
Part of a nomadic set of furniture designed to easily moveable
6 trestles for the new educational barn at the Sylva Wood Centre. Made from ash and based on Krenov's designs
Finally done and installed. Prints were an absolute mission, but my client was delighted with the result.
Made from EU cherry with cherry veneered panels.
The pre Christmas rush. Notice board installed (this isn't really my project, but I did the doors and helped with the installing). The sofa has been set in it's new home, for now bean bags will be used until the owners can make the cushions for it. And as I write this it's 11.46 on Christmas eve and I'm trying to finish my father's Christmas present, a jigsaw table.
Merry Christmas all, hope it's a restful one
Woodwork all done for this sofa. Waiting on some metal to make the brackets to hold it all together.
Individual sections are finished, and oiled. Onto the underframe and the joinery
Two birds with one stone. I need a little practice with applying images to wood for the Welsh dresser. So I'm practicing, and making a go board in the process.
The start of a sofa. Industrial look, oak planks that will be doweled together with aluminium rings for spacing.
Welsh dresser so nearly done. Awaiting final decisions on drawer/door pulls, artwork and shelves.
Multi project update. A delay in my client visiting the workshop to decide the final details means that the Welsh dresser hasn't moved forwards for a while. Door and drawer fronts now fitted and varnished.
My violin is getting the top plate shaped, I really have no idea if I'm remotely in the right area....luthiers; I'm sorry for what I'm doing to your craft.
MkII prototype dining chair all finished. A temporary sling back is being used. Updates or a complete set will happen once my clients have had a chance to see how well it works.
A canvas backed dining chair in sycamore.
Pieces have been assembled into a frame, the panel for the seat has been glued up. Clean up, corner blocks, and finish left before the back can be made.
Workbench vice now installed. The st Andrews cross is set into channels in the chop and the leg. The face of the chop has also been lined with leather.
Some tweaking is going to be needed as the vice stiffens up once it has opened more than about 75mm. For now it's not a big problem.
Handle all glued and set. Some minor sanding needed on the handle then it can be finished.
Finally a little more work on my knife handle. Not sure how well this turned out, the spacing is a touch uneven. But for a first try at a new skill, I'll take it.
