Unpopular opinion about the prom

People keep saying it was robbed but really it wasn’t. Tony voters don’t care how fun or wholesome the prom is. What they care about is that the script is clunky, the plot feels unfinished, the orchestrations sit on the very fine line between bad and just okay. Its not that the prom is all bad, its that other musicals this season were leagues better.

Yes, the prom is monumental for lgbtq+ representation. But just because it has representation doesn’t mean its good.
