a lady yesterday bought a tiny red onion and i told her âwow i love this onion.. itâs so perfectâ and she said âyou understand meâŠâ
Batman, on his phone: Smash his kneecaps and heâll talk, okay? I have to go, Iâm at a parent-teacher conference.
Batman,to the teacher: Anyway, you said that Dick enjoys finger-painting? Thatâs great!
I was told to do more so you have this đđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
@colonel-jeff-tracy can you perform in my country too?
It was a long 8 years, huh?
You Shot Me [RP]
@thunderbirdscolonelcasey:
Casey looked at the hapless soldier trying to arrest John. She then looked at NIbs and raised one eyebrow. Â
Where the hell had Nibs found that idiot? Â
âStand down, Soldier,â she said sternly.  âJohn, dear, come over and sit back down. Somebody get him and Kevin some water. Kevin and John - both of you stop moaning like that. Neither of you will be arrested. Nobody has tried to murder anybody.â Her voice said that, but the look in her eye as she looked at one of the GDF soldiers said âyetâ.
Fumbling inside her tunic, Casey pulled out a small flask, uncapped it and took a sip.
âJohn - take a sip of this. You look like a ghost! Captain Cas - Iâm going to have a special task for you. But first - please tell me you didnât land on Lady Penelopeâs garden again? Iâm about to ask her staff for a pot of tea for the three of us and some sandwiches for Kevin there. Iâd rather be able to do so without having to apologise for destroying the garden. Again.â
Casey reached over with her uninjured left arm and patted Kevin on the shoulder.
âWeâre going to see how we can help you out, Kevin. If the GDF canât help you - and you would be surprised at the range of skills we need - then I am sure that Tracy Industries or Lady Penelope can help.â
Kevin looked astonished, and then reality hit as to exactly who he was with. He moaned again. Â
âStop moaning, young man. With you sounding like a ghost, and John looking like a ghost, Iâm starting to doubt the number of living people here.â She looked down at the remains of her shirt and her bare arm.  âNow will somebody take the flask away from John, and somebody else help me get my tunic back on.â She pointed to a certain unlucky Soldier.
âAnd somebody with a brain take that Soldier out of my sight. Perhaps he can carry a plate of sandwiches or a pot of tea.â
nibenhutracycas:
âIâm going to have words with this rookie.â Nibs thinks, walking over and taking John gently by the arm, gently guiding him towards the chair before glaring at the soldier.
âIn the GDF we donât shoot first and ask questions later, it was obviously an accident. If it hadnât been Colonel Casey would have told us to apprehend as soon as we got here.â Nibs explained.
She turned back to Casey when she was done, giving a slightly sheepish grin, âNo Colonel, we landed in the field. Itâs all good, Lady Penelope knows weâre there.â
Nibs went over to John and retrieved the flask from him, handing it back to Casey before helping her drape the tunic over her shoulder.
First Lieutenant Bryan Jefferson, one of Nibs team, stepped forward, giving Casey a small salute before turning to the soldier.
âYou heard her soldier, this way, letâs go and see if we can find a member of staff and get the young men something for their nerves.â He didnât much like having to do the fetch and carry, but he knew how important John was to the Captain and Colonel and he wanted to get this fellow out of the way before he did any more damage in his eagerness to impress.
@starman-john-tracy:
John, all but collapsing back into the lawn chair, has no idea what on Earth Auntie Casey keeps in that flask but it burns all the way down, leaving him spluttering and making his eyes water and his nose run something fierce.
The incredibly strong, Scottish whisky sure brings the colour back to his face though. Miserable, he takes another big swig, almost as if heâs punishing himself.
âIâm never picking up a gun again.â John swears, lowly, truly horrified by the outcome of his own actions. He buries his head in his hands, exposing a red mark around his wrist where the solider had stopped him, though John doesnât seem to have noticed itâs there, far too overwhelmed by it all. Heâs clearly in some kind of shock⊠and possibly slightly drunk. âVal, I⊠Iâm so sorry⊠IâŠâ Itâs not often that any of Jeffâs boys pull out the first name, and thereâs something sad and awkward about the way John does now. âGeezâŠâ
Kevin, still very much stunned, looks between the pale ginger man and the woman heâd shot, thoroughly confused.
âWho are you people?â The perp finally finds his voice, âThe GDF donâ just let people get away withâŠâ His voice sticks in his throat, one hand waving around all the carnage, âI⊠I dint mean for anyone tâ get shot. I just wantedâŠâ Kevin shakes his head. âIâm sorry too. If that helps any? I⊠Are you offering me a job?â
âOh no!â John suddenly sits bolt upright, like heâs been electrocuted, though he sways dangerously as he does, like heâs just hit the atmosphere and his balance is all off. âHow âm I gonnnnnah explain this to PennyâŠ?âÂ
They might be old friends, but shooting people in her garden very rarely goes down well with her Ladyship and oh boy, whatâs Scott going to say when he gets home?
And what the hell was in that flask?
Casey looked at Kevin.  âWell, Iâm certainly going to try to. And if I canât help, then I have quite a few friends who will be able to. And not just you - but your friends too. What happened to you is appaling, and as for your wife, it was down right illegal. And THAT I can definitely do something about. Captain Cas will help you, and esplain everything. Â
âAnd Kevin - believe me. If I had thought you intended real harm, then I promise you that you wouldnât be iun any position to be sitting talking to me.â
Her attention turned to John.  âJohn, dear, I know you didnât intend to shoot me. Tracys never do intend to shoot me, but it seems to just happen. Both of your parents - and neither of them had the excuse of being crash tackled. They claimed they didnât notice me.â She smiled reminiscently.  âI didnât believe them then. After all, Iâm hardly inconspicious.  Especially at that time because I had dyed my hair platinum. My version of Goth.â
Colonel Val Casey didnât need to look. She could hear the GDF personnel around her trying not to choke, and their minds cracking at the thought of their Colonel with bleached platinum hair. Â
âAs for Lady Penelope, Iâm sure by now she knows exactly what has happened and is even now on her way down. Hopefully with that pot of tea at the very least. Iâm also very sure that she will blame me for being shot and will take it fairly well.  Much better than she would if you had been shot, John.  As for Scott - well Iâm not planing on telling him anything. After all - I was shot. Again - not you. You have nothing to fear.â
Casey sipped from her flash, astonished to find it nearly empty.  âWhat did you do with this, John? Slug it down?  What a crime against good single malt whiskey.  Good thing Iâve still got a few bottles left of the case I acquired from your father.â

You Shot Me [RP]
@thunderbirdscolonelcaseyâ:
Casey held the pad in place, but raised her other hand to Johnâs face.  âBreathe, John. Itâs done with. Youâve done well. Now just sit down and clean up your face. Youâve got a bit of gravel rash.â
She watched John closely, even as she gave her attention to Kevin.  âNow, young man,â she said sternly, âHow about you tell me whatâs happened that youâve been reduced to trespassing and assault.â
Kevin shrank further into the blanket. The last thing he needed now was for the GDF to press charges.  âLost our jobs, dinât we. Mâwife was sacked when she tried to take maternity leave. I lost mine when the factory got mechanised. Nothinâ for us cos we donât have any further traininâ. All our money goes for rent and bills, not much left for food. Gotta get money some how.â
Casey sighed. Sadly, this was a fairly common situation. Society had come along in leaps and bounds, but there were always people left behind.
She could feel John leaning against her legs, he still seemed to be a bit shakey, but was improving. âKevin, do you know many others in your situation?â
âMost of âem who were workin with me. Some have found other jobs. Some have left and dunno what happened to them. But thereâs about 30 of us who are in the same position. Canât get Council housing - not enough around. Some have got some part time work, or their wives work. A lot are lucky - their kids are in school so they get a good meal at lunchtime at least. But the wife and I - weâve only got the baby.â
Casey nodded.  âAnd you want to make sure that your wife and baby have what they need.â
âYeah.â
âI can see why you felt that you had no other options.â Casey looked up as a group of GDF personnel came running, a team of Paramedics lead by Captain @nibenhutracycas
Casey grinned at John.  âWe should have known she wouldnât be able to resist getting involved.â
nibenhutracycasâ:
Captain Nibenhu Cas resisted the urge to run over to the wounded party, knowing she had to at least appear professional. She frowned a little as she saw that Casey had been shot, and John seemed to have some injuries of his own.
She looked at the young man sitting next to Colonel Casey, his eyes downcast, looking rather guilty to Nibs. She turned back to Casey with a small smile, though her eyes still looked worried.
âWell this is a strange turn of events, usually itâs the other way around, and Iâm the one getting John into trouble.â She joked, then went serious. âWhat happened here? Are there more shooters about? We got reports of a robbery as well, this wouldnât be connected would it?â
starman-john-tracy:
John, who was already looking on his last legs, goes, if possible, even paler.
âI⊠n-nothingâs been stolen.â Heâs quick to point out, holding a pad to the little weeping cuts on his cheek, though the shakiness in his voice isnât exactly reassuring about that. He sits down quite hard and quite suddenly, like Casey told him to, all but collapsing into one of Pennyâs garden lounge chairs. He tugs his tie away from his collar, white-face prickled with cold sweat.
âI⊠I shot her.â He admits, like he canât quite believe it, âOh god, IâŠâ His eyes flick up to the where the Colonelâs shoulder is being treated, focusing on the bloody, puckered hole and the wash of red over her skin, and John looks, rather suddenly, like he might be sick. âIâve gottaâŠ. Oh godâŠâ
Up on his feet, with one arm wrapped around his own waist, John stumbles, horrified at himself off to one side, only to be stopped by the firm, thrust out arm of one of the GDF soldiers.
âYouâre going nowhere mate.â The man looks down at him like he might be a bug squashed under his shoe. Kevin, behind them, gives a low, unhappy moan and buries his face in his hands. âYouâve just admitted to attempted murder, assault at the very least. I think youâd better sit back down before I have to cuff you.â
John, to his credit, doesnât actually throw up on the manâs shoes. Itâs mostly dry heaving.

25: Worst possible time to get horny:
âDefinately in the office, when the object of your horniness is also in the same office and horny, because then your superior officer walks in on you two having sex on the desk, or under the desk. And no that hasnât happened more than once, I swear...âÂ
Nibs does an awkward little cough. âOh, and any time you canât do something about the horniness. Thatâs always a bad time too.â
Nibs, how many times do I need to remind you that your *office door has a lock on it?!?*
âbut we get so caught up in the moment, we tend to forget.â
âSeriously, remind me to get maintainence to fix your door so it auto closes and locks whenever itâs used.â
It's not her office that's the problem! It's when I walk, all unsuspecting into MY office to find it "in use" that there's the problem. The American Ambassador is still traumatised.

Casey couldnât help but smile. John Tracy would remain calm in the face of major disasters, could multi task and deal with human tragedy beyond comprehension.
Unless family was hurt. Then that loving, caring side of him came roaring out and the need to ensure the safety of that family came first. Â
Casey holstered her weapon and came over to where John was - barely - standing next to Kevin. She sank down onto the other lawn chair and started to unfasten her uniform tunic. Â
âAlright, John. You get the first aid kit, and call for the GDF Medics.â She looked over at Kevin. Â
âAnd you and I, young man, are going to have a talk.â
âI- right.â John all but sprints over to where Penny keeps the little kit, his comm already up by his mouth; calling it in.
âW-wait! Donât leave me withâŠâ Kevin, the young man of probably not even twenty-three with that balaclava off, with mousey brown hair and a petrified expression, watches the kind ginger man go, leaving him with the stern-faced, objectively terrifying military woman that heâd just gotten shot.
Johnâs overbearing Tracy need to help win out over the plea for him to stay, putting him out of hearing range as he hunts for the kit. The paramedics report that theyâll be there within fifteen minutes, but John finds that number frustratingly slow - well aware he that had he had access to all of Fiveâs computers, he could have cut that time down to six or seven minutes by diverting them away from the pre-cleared flightpaths.
âGot it!â John dashes back, green plastic box with a big red cross in hand, ready to do what he can to stop Casey losing more blood. Thereâs a track of his own running down the side of his jaw, but he doesnât seem to have noticed it. âHere.â He slides to his knees by her side, rummaging in the box for some gauze pads. âHold these down on the wound, weâve got to keep positive pressure on it.â
Thereâs red on his fingers as he guides her to do so, and those fingers are shaking.
Casey held the pad in place, but raised her other hand to Johnâs face.  âBreathe, John. Itâs done with. Youâve done well. Now just sit down and clean up your face. Youâve got a bit of gravel rash.â

Writing prompt #5: Teenager alone at home
Other kidsâ parents when going away for the day: Okay, you stay right here and do whatever. Enjoy!
Your parents when going away for 3 hours: *give a lecture on not setting the house on fire*
*give a lecture on how the electricity and water in the house works*
*give a lecture on where their testaments and legal documents are*
*give a lecture on where all the keys and stuff are and REMEMBER, THATâS NOT SOME ALCOHOLIC DRINK, ITâS DRAIN CLEANING LIQUID!*
Colonel Casey when she leaves Nibs alone at the GDF for 5 mins. @thunderbirdscolonelcasey
Youâve misssed the one about not blowing things up.  Especially GDF HQ. And other GDF faciities. Or Thunderbirds. Or John Tracy. Â
Same goes for settinbg the above list on fire. Especially John Tracy. (just leave him safely on TB5. He gets into less trouble there). Â
Captain Derpface the Giant Goldfish does not need to be broken out of his specially constructed lake. Heâs happy there. He has toys, and gets regularly fed specially formulated goldfish food. Also at 25m long, heâs far too big to be an indoor pet. Remember - we actually USE the swimming pool for SWIMMING. (itâs a odd thing I know, but there you go).
And GDF flyers are not there to be used to pop out for takeaway.  Even if its âreally excellent pizzaâ - if you are in England you donât go to Naples for pizza! (and you especially donât use John Tracy to order it for you - even if you do arrange for a pizza for him as well).
Which brings me to......
Please donât use GDF space shuttles to send pizza to TB5. With a bottle of nie wine. And garlic bread. As a romantic valentine dinner for John Tracy and Captain OâBannon.  Yes, they are a very cute couple, and god kows itâs going to take a cattle prod for them to get together (no - that is NOT an idea), but still.  If you must organise something like that, contact Virgil Tacy. He will organise it. Heâs a hopeless romantic. The Tracyâs also arnât answerable to the World Council for how they spend their money. Â
Iâll be back in 5 minutes - Iâm just going to the bathroom. Â
You Shot Me [RP]
@thunderbirdscolonelcasey:
Her shoulder was killing her and in some way she was resigned, and in others she was surprised that she had been shot by one of the Tracy boys. Â After all, their father had shot her when they were both in training.
What had her heart in her mouth was the unknown assailant holding John on the ground and making demands. Â Demanding the watch John wore. Â
A flurry of movement and John was free, but so was the assailant. Holding Johnâs gun and threatning him. Â Casey made a mental note to talk to Kayo. Â It was all very well to teach John how to free himself, but he also needed to be taught to then secure the person attacking him!
âHe wonât shoot you John,â she said confidently. Â âDrop the gun, young man. Â You wonât be able to do any harm with that gun. Â And all you will achieve is a visit in jail.â
Casey took a step forward and held out her free hand.
âCome on - hand the gun over and letâs talk about this,â she said. Â She took another step.
âDonât move! Iâll shoot him! I will!â Â His voice was panicy and the hand holding the gun was shaking so much that if he fired it, it would be more dangerous to him than to John.
Casey shook her head and took another step, reaching out and closing her hand around his wrist, causing him to drop the gun.
âYou could have fired that gun all you wanted,â she said. Â âBut nothing will happen unless the gun is actually loaded. Â I only put one round in it.â
The perpâs eyes widen almost comically and John doesnât even have a chance to react as thereâs a click of the trigger being pulled, the gun firing, only⊠only it doesnât. Nothing happens. The guy grits his teeth and tries again, then again. Still nothing. He shakes the thing wildly, disbelievingly, while John has what can only be described as a mini nervous meltdown with the relief that he doesnât have three bullets in him, and that the cartridge loaded into the gun is most definitely empty.
Thank god she hadnât been bluffing.
âHey.â Johnâs still got his hands raised and his voice comes out, surprisingly strong, International Rescue calm. âHey.â The young manâs eyes flick between Casey and her gun over Johnâs shoulder, and the ginger himself. âDonât worry about her, her bark is worse than her bite.â Thatâs so blatantly untrue that it can only be a plea from him for her not to attack the kid before he has a chance to talk him down. âEyes on me, ok?â Heâs got such a naturally calming voice that the eyes beyond the balaclava obey him without question. The empty gun is hanging from limp fingers and their attacker looks small and lost without the contingency of it. âMy nameâs John.â He sounds soft and sure, just like heâs talking the panic out of a rescue, reassuring them that everything is going to be alright. âWhatâs your name?â
âK-Kevin.â There are tears pooling in the young manâs eyes now, his bottom lip trembly. âI-I dint mean no trouble. I justâŠâ
âYouâve got a family at home relying on you.â Johnâs guess is surprisingly perceptive, well aware of many others in the same situation; people living in poverty on the London outskirts, who, out of desperation would go to great lengths that they otherwise wouldnât. âYouâre not a bad guy. You just want to help them out, right?â
âI got a little girl.â He openly sobs, as John gently takes the gun from him and tosses it away. Thereâs a dark bruise spreading across the spacemanâs cheek, blood welling in little dots where the gravel has cut his skin, an ominous reminder that theyâve just been attacked despite Johnâs soft demeanour. âSurely you rich types can spare somethinâ, right? Weâre starvinâ at home, IâŠâ
âLet me see to my friendâs injury.â John guides Kevin to sit down in a lawn chair, helping him off with his threadbare balaclava and draping a blanket around his shoulders for shock. âColonel?â If anything Kevinâs face blanches further white at the sound of her title, military canât mean anything good. âYour shoulder?â Johnâs almost as pale as he is, âI⊠Iâm so sorryâŠâ
A big crack appears in Thunderbird Fiveâs smooth, calm exterior, the dangerous, terrified, apology of John Tracy bleeding through as quick as the blood had saturated her shoulder.
âIâŠâ He wavers, shaky, âI didnât mean⊠IâŠâ
Casey couldnât help but smile. John Tracy would remain calm in the face of major disasters, could multi task and deal with human tragedy beyond comprehension.
Unless family was hurt. Then that loving, caring side of him came roaring out and the need to ensure the safety of that family came first. Â

âAnd you and I, young man, are going to have a talk.â
From the Injuries ask meme "You shot me!" - Colonel Casey
From this ask meme   Â
Really, it should never have happened.
Johnâs got the best aim of all of his brotherâs, even better than Scottâs, truthfully, and he spent three years with the RAF. Heâs a master of the claw machine, of pin-point precise decisions and actions and, whether itâs catching a weather monitoring station with a mooring claw or hitting the range target bullseye, thereâs no way heâd simply miss.
And he wouldnât have. He wouldnât have missed if the guy in a balaclava and hoodie hadnât decided that tackling people on a rich personâs shooting range was a smart thing to go out and do on a cold, drizzly Wednesday evening.
For an American, John sure has a big reluctance surrounding guns. Itâd been quite the challenge to get him out to England, to the Lady Penelopeâs range for a few lessons, in the first place. He remembers Grandpa Grant owning a big old blunderbuss thing back when he was just a boy, but not many people fire live bullets these days, not really, not with the upsurge in electronic disablers and Global banning of the frankly dangerous things without a permit and a very good reason for their possession.
Casey, evidently, thinks she has a good reason for them. She wants all of Jeffâs boys prepared (though, in the end, theyâd refused to let her get her hands on Alan) for anything, and apparently that includes using guns. Scott had persuaded him to just go along with it, to keep the GDF happy. Itâs just the range, John, thereâs nothing you need to worry about John, Gordon had a great time John. Even with Caseyâs worries about The Hood, John knows full well that none of them will ever use the thing against another human being, villainous or otherwise. Their job is to reconnaissance and rescue, definitely not to shooting people. Not intentionally anyway.
The crack of the shot discharging as he goes down is going to haunt John for a long time.
His head ricochets off the gravel, stunned, and the gun falls from limp fingers, skittering away from him. Thereâs a black-gloved hand shoving his face down, another wrestling one of his arms up behind his back.
âG-Give me all your valuables!â The guy with a heavy knee on Johnâs spine demands. He sounds young, desperate perhaps. Like heâs walked to the nearest manor house with half a plan and attacked the first rich-looking person he finds. âY-Your watch!â The knee in his spine presses down hard and John chokes out an awful, pained little sound as something in there grinds. âG-Give me...â
John twists to try and get a look at Colonel Casey, to see how sheâs reacting to all this, only to find...
Johnâs mouth drops open. His eyes go wide and shocked and his face abruptly loses all colour.
Thereâs blood rapidly seeping into the fabric of her uniform, around the shoulder. A dangerous crimson; a deadly bloom thatâs intent on devouring as much of the material as it can, as fast as possible. She claps a hand over the gunshot wound, but sheâs already stumbling to her knees, her own gun out and levelled at the perp that had just flattened John, her face gritty with determination.
âNo!â Thereâs a surge of momentum that upends the young man kneeling on him, reaching for his watch, with a yelp, and John flings an arm out, putting his own body in between Caseyâs gunsight and the perp. âWait, donât shoot him!â
âH-hey! D-Drop the gun!â The guy insists, shaking badly as he levels the gun heâs grabbed off the floor at John. Whatâs visible of his face beneath the balaclava an ashy grey. His fingers on the trigger are dangerously trembly. âOr... Or Iâll shoot him! I swear!â
John raises both hands in surrender, his hair mussed wild and gravel imprinted on his cheek.
âDrop the gun Aunt Casey.â John says, strained, âLetâs give this guy what he wants, so that I can have a look at that shoulder of yours, ok?â
Her shoulder was killing her and in some way she was resigned, and in others she was surprised that she had been shot by one of the Tracy boys. After all, their father had shot her when they were both in training.

âDonât move! Iâll shoot him! I will!â His voice was panicy and the hand holding the gun was shaking so much that if he fired it, it would be more dangerous to him than to John.
Casey shook her head and took another step, reaching out and closing her hand around his wrist, causing him to drop the gun.  âYou could have fired that gun all you wanted,â she said.  âBut nothing will happen unless the gun is actually loaded. I only put one round in it.â
Do they have friends who they consider family?
@thunderbirdscolonelcasey has to be the answer to that one... talk about sister from another mister!
Always got your back, babe!
John, I saw some âMars Mudâ being sold at a restaurant today as a kidâs toy. Do you know if your dad or Lee started this trend? (Though I donât know why it has glitter in it...)
âThat, uh⊠doesnât seem like something that should be in a restaurant.â John decides, puzzled by the whole concept.
âCalling it âmudâ denotes the presence of both dirt and water by the very nature of what mud is.â His nose wrinkles, kind of offended at the dubious science of it all. âVery few Mars samples have ever gotten into the public eye and, well, water isnât exactly something the planet Mars is known to have great quantities ofâŠâ John shrugs. âPeople sell all kinds of unscientific space themed things to make an easy buck. Iâd like to think my Father and Uncle Lee would come up with a better product than glittery space mud though.â
Just steppingn in here. Iwould like to remind you of just who you are talking about. They could, and did, come up with better things. But you know very well that their own senses of jumour would mean glittery space mud would happen. You, Scott and Virgil used to love it, though you all tended to wear more of it than you ate...
Meanwhile at the GDF: Every one is either blissfully unaware or freaking the hell out.
The GDF right now.
@drfitzysimmonsâ
100% accurate.
Boys! This is your 3 day warning.
Step away from the thermostat, turn off the lights (this isnât Las Vegas) and clear your browser history... Daddyâs coming home đ
And replace the scotch in (a) the liquor cabinet, (b) the bottom right hand drawer of his dresser and (c) the secret drawer in his desk.
âLeaving me in charge and coming back to this madness should not be a surprise.â
Nibs to @thunderbirdscolonelcasey
