God, I’m obsessed with this video. The way you can see all the scars and craters on her skin, the way the gill slits wave in the current, the sense of just how massive she is compared to that diver… it’s incredible. Just this enormous animal lazily swimming by the camera.

When 99% of the time you only see sharks in sped-up footage accompanied by threatening orchestral music and some narrator dude ominously intoning that it is “the most perfect killing machine the world has ever seen”, you tend to forget sharks are such beautiful creatures. This video doesn’t show a “monster shark” or a “killing machine”. It shows an animal - and a fucking beautiful one at that.

hey just so you know “love hurts” means thinks like 

unrequited love is painful to process and get over,

it sucks when you love someone but they’re far away so you can’t be with them right now, 

sometimes we do something selfish out of love that we have to fix and work to do better next time, 

sometimes the people we love aren’t kind to themselves, and it hurts to see,

it’s painful to love someone deeply and see them go through something hard that you can’t fix for them, 

but “love hurts” does Not mean that being loved should be painful, scary, unpleasant, manipulative, or guilt-ridden. If someone you love hurts you again and again, even if they think they love you, they don’t. Not enough to be gentle, to be kind. You’ve gotta try to believe you deserve better. Love doesn’t “hurt” like that.

if you haven’t heard what disney just did to their college program cast members, including the ones who came from other countries, do me a favor and learn about it, talk about it, share it, spread it, i need this to be known. i need this to not go away. they need to face consequences for what they just did to THOUSANDS of employees (most of which are under the age of 25) with such a short notice. please dont let them hide what they just did.

they laid off thousands on saturday, told them to get out of their housing in less than four days, told the ICPs (international college program) employees they need to be out in less than 4 days despite them being in another country on their own during travel bans no longer allowing them to fly home with their work visas no longer extended since they no longer work for the company, they told them that this is for their safety but they dont care that they just threw THOUSANDS of young adults into homelessness during a pandemic. and then they dropped Frozen 2 on disney+ because they needed to cover it. dont let them get away with that.
