I’ve been thinking about Beau’s choice. When she was talking to the M9 about it, vaguely, she kind of made it seem like she believed everything was leading up to this point? Like not just that she had peaked, but that she thought her life was leading to this? Which seemed kind of ‘fate’y to me? Like she was fated for this to happen to her? Like she was supposed to be the punishment, the misery that her dad’s deal wrought?

Anyways, I’m wondering how much of her father’s superstition Beau possibly might’ve involuntarily absorbed as she was growing up and an extremely intense moment like this brought it out?

I dunno, just something I thought was interesting, but maybe I interpreted it wrong

Just watched Ep 93 where Jester tricks the hag and I’m in the comments. Love all the Jester love but it’s anoying ppl are really judgy about Beau’s attempted sacrifice, saying it wouldn’t have had buildup and that she was upset at having the spotlight taken away. Now that they have the animated show I think leaning into Beau's backstory and considered sacrifice would be a wonderful red herring type of buildup. Have her be all "eh I never believed in fortune but I guess I was put here to fulfill my father's and save Nott's" and then BAMN Jester fucking Lavorre proves they take destiny into their own hands.

Sidenote: Fjord??? Was acting so??? UNscared? Damn son was that character development or were you just locked the fuck in?

to be honest it's the funniest thing how jester got 0 bites for recruiting people to follow the traveler in the mighty nein. half the table fell in love with her. but unfortunately they could smell the scam she was selling from a mile away. she's charmed the pants off everybody she met. they would all die for her. they think artagan is the most untrustworthy patron of all time. she tried to recruit beau and nott and they (smartly) weren't having it. caleb and essek, like wizards do, think divinity are beneath them. yasha and molly and cad had their gods. realistically, fjord was her best shot. he needed to break free from uk'otoa but nope. caduceus, who came in late to the game and wasn't even actively recruiting, got fjord to follow the wildmother. forty to fifty episodes after caddy join the mighty nein, fjord was following melora. like jester got the hag with a cupcake but she couldn't beat caduceus just being a good friend to fjord.
