I think the reason Homestuck has such staying power is that deep down, every millennial has two warring wishes - to become a cool hero and make a new perfect world with your best friends, or to be struck by a big space rock, killing us instantly.

Hiveswap troll terminology thread

we got a lot of new troll terminology for things (probably used exclusively by the lower castes) from hiveswap and i wanna put em down here since they could be useful to writing! if you want to add on feel free! some of these im still not sure of but its what i assume they are. also if a definition is blank idk what it is but maybe we could collaborate on finding all the new terms through all the different object combination dialogs

The goal is simple - we thank Hussie for everything he’s done for us. For all the updates, all the people he’s met, everything he’s had to deal with - for making Homestuck. He made something far bigger than he could have imagined. I think it’s time we thanked him.

Happy 4/13!

HOMESTUCK IS ENDING (an interactive self-help guide) is a little project I wrote up for my fellow Homestucks who are emotionally all over the place over the fact that this is the last 4/13 before Homestuck is over. It’s basically a simulated choose-your-own-adventure-based chat implemented to remember the good old days and evoke one big emotional reminiscence with yourself over Homestuck’s birthday and what you enjoy most about being in the fandom. As pretentious as that sounds, it’s actually quite short.

It’s heavily geared toward people who are actively in the fandom and/or worried about Homestuck ending.  Also, it’s not meant to be taken too seriously, and is kind of a silly mess essentially just a pick-me-up for anyone who’s grieving the final conclusion of Homestuck. (Which could potentially be happening today!!!)

dad egbert is seriously underrated like i dont remember a whole lot about the hs guardians but he was the most bizarre and interesting one by far

like not a single thing he ever did made sense. the joke was always just that he was the MOST daddest dad, the most stereotypical father ever, but as a result he became this completely ludicrous caricature hes fucking hilarious
