David Tennant & Michael Sheen | An Ineffable Goodbye
I love how much joy they had in making this finale after it wasn’t going to happen at all
Hey so remember how in Season 1 Adam decided that he wasn't Satan's son anymore and made it so that it was always that way but he and everyone at the air base still had their memory? And he became something not quite human but still mostly human? Why the fuck couldn't have that been their ending.
This is exactly what I’ve been thinking!!
One thing I did enjoy about the human AU ending was how unsuccessful both Anthony and Asa were. Anthony writes a book that no one reads, and Asa doesn’t even own the bookshop. And still somehow they end up with a cottage in the South Downs, lol.
They may not have been the Ineffable Idiots, but at least they’re still our idiots.
sorry but s2 aziraphale did not hold trembling fingers to his lips thinking do it again because he wanted to boop crowley on the lips with his fingies
Honestly, I didn’t completely hate the Good Omens finale. It had its moments of silliness that I have always loved Good Omens for. Still, I understand people being mad about the AU, and I just have to say that I think it mostly makes sense, at least from Crowley’s perspective.
After having all that time to think and cry and get drunk, powerless and alone in an alley, it makes sense that he’s just tired. And he knows Aziraphale well enough to know that if Heaven and Hell still existed and still had the power to meddle, Aziraphale would want to keep an eye on them and fix things if something went wrong. After all, they make it a point to call Crowley a “former demon” while making it abundantly clear that Aziraphale is still very much an angel.
Crowley couldn’t stand any more of all that nonsense, and he’s always cared about the universe just being the universe because it’s beautiful, so it makes sense for him to want it all to start over, even if he can’t be there with Aziraphale. I think he knows that Aziraphale would never be completely happy as an “ex-angel” anyway, even if Heaven and Hell no longer existed.
However… I hate that for them and I wish we could’ve had a scenario like Michael becoming human in The Good Place, where Aziraphale and Crowley got to live out the rest of their newly mortal lives together in the South Downs. Maybe the writers thought they shouldn’t do it because it’s been done, or maybe because they didn’t think Aziraphale (and thus Crowley) would be truly happy that way. Whatever it was, it hurts a little.
But still, I appreciate the cast and crew for pulling together one last time and getting us a finale. It was a good try — for 90 minutes. You can only do so much in 90 minutes.
they really said

ok a few things
- a kiss is NOT necessary to convey a romantic plot but only IF you make room for a real romantic love declaration which they didn’t
- the s2 kiss was under very different circumstances and sort of unresolved and imperfect so a s3 actual heartfelt romantic kiss would have definitely ADDED to the narrative
- what WAS actually less than the s2 kiss was the hand-lip boop
Sometimes I genuinely can’t stand the talks that seem to go on in all writers’ rooms these days.
I would like to lodge a formal complaint about the lack of ducks in the finale?
Good Omens fandom status update: It’s Complicated
So Michael and David really didn’t want to kiss again, huh?
Hate when I’m smiling giggling at a video and then an ad plays. suddenly I have to lock in and frown so the ad knows I would never smile for it. Making me look like a fool in front of my beautiful princess (funny video)
I’m always flipping the bird at my computer when an ad comes on 😂
Quick what are you doing RIGHT now (besides scrolling Tumblr)
I love jaywalking with another pedestrian lol we’re unionized
Somehow I married a man who pretty much refuses to jaywalk. No wonder he doesn’t like going for walks
i hate it when you're heating something up in the microwave and it starts to go snap crackle pop so you take it out but it's still completely cold. shut up then??
I feel like a lot could’ve been avoided if Victor Frankenstein hadn’t been such a momma’s boy
