I mentioned to cereal abt one of my hcs for linlin, but,
Linlin having a struggle to connect when she was a child with other people, and her just not knowing, and how that led into her wanting her own family ( connections ) and how misconstrued that can get NOW as Big Mom. bc she doesn’t have normal perceptions of anything and I genuinely think the DF she has soooo many draw backs that dehumanize her despite what all it CAN do, and I think her splitting herself up so much for so long and blending with so many other people absolutely has made her lose more of herself, she is in fact a monster
re: splitting herself up. I think when she uses the fruit and gives things souls, uses her soul, it splinters her a little more and more. On top of that, we know that previous users can also affect the inherited will of users, and I very much think her perceptions of the fruit and what she does with it, just make her more of an awful person.
Her black out tantrums, the craving for food/calories because she’s trying to replace/restore a phantom part of herself that her body doesn’t understand how to repair.
Like she KNOWS she needs to invoke fear to make it work. and she’s like? A rather selfish and abusive, and awful person. She’s literally kind to babies, but the moment they’re no longer cute or unable to do much on their own. It’s over. She’s awful, invokes fear for loyalty, rules with an absolution, and majority of the pirates are her children so she thinks she owns them. It’s why she gets so ANGRY that they think for themselves or don’t center everything they do around her, around helping her.
