       they’ve been spending more time together lately. the small, red haired girl who claims to be a fish and has taken a liking to them is, without a doubt, at fault for the bond between them. he’d never spoken to luna much, despite the meaningful ways their paths have crossed, until ponyo showed up. he’d also never considered her in the way that she, clearly, has considered him. the kiss catches him off guard, makes his chest and ears burn with warmth, and it takes him a moment to respond because what the hell is happening, and is he on board with it?

       slowly one of his hands lifts, cups her jaw, and he returns the kiss with a slow, building heat. after a few moments, both of his hands have buried themselves in the dense curls of her hair and he’s holding her close, heartbeat wild in his chest.
