So, Law and Lea promised each other to be together for all eternity, and agreed that the best way to do that would be to get rid of their mortal bodies and preserve their souls in phylacteries, hidden away from other humans. They moved into a cabin, deep into the woods, and through many years, Azalea strengthen her magic enough to be able to perform the ritual with Lawrence first. She separated his soul from his body and captured it in a deer skull shaped necklace, which she then placed around his neck, and let his corpse sink to the bottom of the lake. Now Azalea is trying to find the way to perform the ritual on herself, but in the meantime, her and Lawrenceās Lich start to notice a sudden and gradual increase of young people winding up at the lake, looking scared, injured and sometimes on the verge of death. Eventually they find out these are being brought by a Hunter. Whether the man has always lived nearby or arrived recently, they donāt know, but his presence disturbs the forestās peace. They are no heroes, they donāt intervene, but Azalea still feels bad for the souls of the victims, so sheās found a way to also capture them in objects, and turn them into spirits of the forest. Now she cares for them, as if they were her children, and helps them find peace. Theyāre not alone anymore and they donāt have to be scared anymore.

Zoelle was born and raised in an underground facility under a Zoo. She was engineered to be a proper werewolf instead of a beastkin. She has no parents and most of the time was treated as what she was, livestock and test subject. From testing her strenght, her regenerating capabilities and more.
She breaks free during one of her tests while transformed into a werewolf, she killed all of the scientists and security before running and escaping to the underground tunnels of the sewage.
When she regains consciousness she doesn't remember what happened except the fact that her whole body was nude and covered in blood. She first lived off the trash, from finding clothes to make a small refuge, during day time she would try to see around the city. That until she learned to blend around people and have a somewhat normal life, still hiding underground whenever there was a full moon.
She was kidnapped by Fox and brought to the auction. But it seems that Fox did not mention to any of the bidders she was a werewolf, or maybe no results showed that information.. if any were made.
So we have the beginning of Mason's route, he buys her based on her answers and provides her with her clothes, the small knife, food and tells her to run. Him too unaware of Zoe's nature. Its the middle of autumn so she does her best to survive, while also trying her best to avoid the full moon
Before winter begins, she sets a campfire and Mason finally caughts her, he was about to rape then kill her (similar to one of the endings). The sky clears showing the full moon, triggering Zoelle's transformation, she breaks free from him and injures Mason with her claws and breaks his leg. Due to the clouds the moon hides away and she doesn't fully transform and manages to maintain enough control; one thing is that she was surviving as a human, but seeing Mason with injuries from her beastly side panics her, and without thinking, she takes him to the cabin, not only to heal his wounds but also to take shelter from the full moon.
Mason is amazed because Fox didn't tell him that info, which makes things much more interesting, but on the other hand, he respects her more because she almost killed him and ended up finding a predator bigger than him. But Zoe doesn't want to get rid of Mason thanks to her werewolf side; if she's going to survive, she wants it to be by her own means, fully conscious, idk some random psychology stuff, internal conflict, pride, etc.
Then she suggests to Mason that she will take care of him until he can walk again, so they spend the winter together there, until hunting season comes back. And every day that there is a full moon, in reality, that day they coexist, but the rest of the time they are constantly hunting each other. This goes on until one day, accidentally, the supernatural influence of the Lich causes Zoe to transform, and this transformation lasts for an entire month. Mason realizes that the beast is not just impulse; it is extremely clever, setting traps for him, taking out prey to limit his food. On one hand, he is fascinated and even obsessed with learning more about Zoeās behavior in beast mode, but on the other, it pisses him off that he is becoming prey.
After the agreement they had and Zoeās one-month transformation, when she returns to normal, Mason lets her go back to the cabin, mostly so the wildlife can return to the forest and not detect the walking threat that is Zoe (and him). On top of that, for a whole month Mason also couldnāt leave because Beast Zoe was always on the prowl, so he chains her up in the house so he can finally go back to civilization, look for food, clothes, supplies because literally he almost had nothing left.
During that period, until the wildlife comes back, theyāre there and some stuff happens, from some "mating seasons" and that stuff. For a while nothing happens until Zoe transforms again, and each time she lasts longer in that state.
Until one time, when Mason can no longer stay locked in the cabin and has to go find something to eat, Beast Zoe hunts him again and this time takes him to a cave where she almost kills him, that's when she gives him the scar in his eye (thankfully he didn't lost it) ābut then the beast gives birth. BAM
Heās is left speechless and not knowing what to do, after the birth Zoe finally goes back to being human, and heās just standing there not knowing what the hell is going on. Until he snaps out of it thanks to the baby's cry, very roughly he cuts the umbilical cord with his broken knife, and when Zoe wakes up they go back to the cabin and both know they royaly fucked up. Zoe is the one trying to kill the baby at first because she doesnāt know if he has the same werewolf condition, Mason finally asks when she found out about her condition, to which Zoe says it was when she was 12, when she got her first period. And Mason is like, āwellā¦ thatās going to take a few years.ā
Timeskip:
Zoe and her kid, who runs off into the forest and ends up at the lake. Just as the kid is about to get close, Mason grabs him to bring him back to the cabin. After the child was born, Zoe returned to the normal routine of only transforming during the full moon and only at night if she is exposed to it, although her strength and temperament are affected a little by it.
There were no more unusual transformations outside of the cycle. The child is human, and although he hunts animals from the mountain with his parents to survive and live off the land, he is not very interested in it. I imagined them having a relatively normal life; in the end, they slowly become a small family living in the forest, farming and hunting. Knowing that there is someone who could kill him at any moment if they wanted 'relaxes' Mason in a way, to the point he doesn't feel that urge to hunt as often (kind of even symbolic of how eventually he comes to love Zoe more than Sandy).
Lo is actually the reincarnation of the Lich but human, without knowing, his parents named him a name similar to Lawrence. Due to the "entity" of the lake not being there anymore. The wildlife returns to the forest relatively quickly, especially around that area; the animals can drink water, and the vegetation grows without problems.

Mason and Zoelle's kid, Lo.
He was born on very... peculiar circumstances. Despite their parents nature, Lo doesn't seem very interested in hunting, he prefers observing insects and helping out in their farm. He has a strange fixation on the lake near his dad's cabin

When he was 19, Daemon was kidnapped by a criminal organization and kept captive in the frontier between Mexico and the US. Due to his beastkin nature, at first they were keeping him as an āexotic petā, but eventually they decided to have him participate in dog fights. They cropped his ears, docked his tail, and threw him in the ring. He managed to win practically every fight -even if he resulted badly injured- and little by little the fights escalated, first to bigger animals, and then to humans (by the time he was in his early 20ās). Sadly these fights were always to the death, for which Daemon had to learn to kill people to survive. He became really good at it, but didnāt particularly enjoy it.
Luckily, after a while, armed forces arrived to dismantle the safe house where he was being kept, and in the commotion, he escaped to the US (he was afraid heād be condemned for the murders he had to commit). Through 10 years he made his way up north to avoid being found, hiding his ears and his identity, until he reached Canada. There, life stabilized a little bit, but he continued to keep a low profile.
Until one day, at a bar, he met Ren.
I was thinking the way theyād meet would be different than in the game, as this AU is shared with Azalea, and, well, she was the one to interrupt Law and Renās meeting š¤£ So I guess theyād just meet by chance. Daemon would go to the bar for a drink, and Ren would be there trying to get himself a new victim, since Law had gotten away. Then Ren would then approach Dae, convincing him to let him buy him a drink, and wellā¦ drug him and take him home.
Finding himself chained and abducted once again REALLY triggered Dae (as his previous captors kept him chained by the neck for years), for which he reacted very aggressively against Ren (despite Renās attempted kindness, and despite being surprised to meet another beastkin). But he really couldnāt do much about his situation, due to the collar. So when Ren brought someone (not Lawrence lmao), for Daemon to kill them, Daemon did it without hesitation to show him that he wasnāt afraid to get his hands bloody.
As per the game, Ren gets spooked by this, tries to use the control on him again but they struggle, Daemon overpowers him and strangles him with the chain, but only enough to knock him out. Then puts the collar on him, which freaks Ren out a bit, but being now the one in the position of power helps Daemon calm down a lot. He starts being more gentle with Ren, and when he asks him what does he want, Daemon says that maybe he wants the same thing as Ren does, for heād never met a beastkin like him before. Tells him that they could try to be friends, WITHOUT the chains and the collar this time, and, well, Ren happily accepts.
