LIFE had honestly felt like a hurricane lately. A lot of changes had happened in such a short amount of time — Tierney being awarded custody of Carlos, Arturo moving out, Tierney’s own sudden ex problems, and the very last thing that Teagan had expected… her own breakup. Teagan wondered if she should be crying her eyes out this time. After all, they had been a mere three months away from spending the rest of their lives together. But Teagan just didn’t have it in her anymore. All she felt was anger at being tossed aside again.

ONCE Tierney’s tattooed pinky linked through her own, Teagan managed a smile. Through all of the craziness of the past few weeks, one thing hadn’t changed and would never change. The Taylor twins would always have each other’s backs. “ Amen, twinnie. I don’t care anymore if people think that makes me a bitch. I’ve officially been hurt one time too many. And it’s time to start demanding that we be treated the way that we deserve. Anyone who has a problem with it can let the door hit their ass on the way out. ” Teagan rested her head on top of Tierney’s shoulder. Breathing out slowly, she continued in a murmur. “ I’m just relieved he left before the wedding. I can still get a refund on the payments I already made, and at least I don’t have to deal with the headache of getting a divorce. Although it’s a fucking shame that no one will get to see me in that wedding dress. I looked like a princess in it, Tier. ”

IT seemed like life was enjoying throwing curveballs at the taylor twins lately, but they both had to admit that they were handling it like champions. sure, tierney was still adjusting to being a ‘parent’, but she liked to think that she was eventually going to be just fine, especially with her sister’s help. were there days when she wanted to cry for hours on end? of course -- but she knew that she had to learn to stop feeling sorry for herself when things didn’t go her way, and instead change the way things were being done so they WERE going her way.

TIERNEY smiled as teagan’s pinky wrapped around her own, and in that moment she was reminded that no matter what happened to her in life, the bond that she shared with her identical twin sister would never be broken and that was something that she was eternally grateful for. she would honestly be nothing without teagan. “ no offense, but i don’t think it’ll surprise people that much coming from you, but ME on the other hand, that might shock people. ” she admitted with a giggle, letting her sister know she was only teasing. “ but i agree, we need to be treated the way we deserve and anyone that doesn’t want to do that can walk right out of our lives. ” she spoke, a somewhat hint of sass playing in her tone. “ as shitty as that sounds, i’m glad he left before your wedding too. it would have been much worse of a mess to clean up if there was legal shit involved. ” she admitted to her sister with a sigh as she ran her fingers through teagan’s hair, a frown forming on her face at the mention of the dress. “ i mean, i’m sure we could find a new use for the dress -- music video, maybe? after all, it is time the taylor twins get back into the music scene, don’t you agree? ”

THE first time that Cato had left Teagan, she had been distraught. She had bawled her eyes out for what felt like centuries. It had cut her deeper than any other heartbreak in her life. So when Cato came back with all the right words, all the right apologies and a diamond ring, Teagan had thrown caution to the wind. She had told herself that Cato was her soulmate. The one that she was destined to be with. He had to be, right? After twenty-one years of knowing each other and always coming back to each other… what explanation was there other than true love?

THE second time that Cato left Teagan is when the younger Taylor twin finally realized. Cato wasn’t her soulmate — Teagan was her own soulmate. She was strong, fierce as hell, and so talented. She deserved the world. She wasn’t going to waste any more tears over Cato. Not when Teagan knew that she had given it everything in her fucking power to make the relationship work. Cato had made the choice to walk away for a second time, and Teagan had made sure to lock the door behind him.

“ What a fucking mess, ” Teagan remarked as she looked around at her bedroom. Without all of Cato’s things strewn about, the room looked almost empty. She sighed heavily and looked over at Tierney. She extended her pinky out to her twin. “ Let’s make a pact right now to never take another ex back, ever again. THE first time that cato had left her sister a broken mess, tierney had sworn that she’d never forgive him -- but when he came running back and teagan was quick to let him back in, tierney had done just that, but only for her sister’s sake. she still kept the male at a distance, for reasons that were good enough for her. sure, she was nice to him, but she kept a stern eye on him at all times, waiting for the day that he once again hurt her baby twin. 

AS if things hadn’t been enough of a mess with their brother leaving, and tierney’s own ex drama -- now they had this to deal with. it was like life enjoyed throwing drama at the taylor twins, honestly. they could never really seem to escape it. at first, tierney had been fragile as hell and had let things like this break her down, but over time she’d started to grow a thicker skin ( with the help of teagan, of course ) and now she was starting to develop that “i don’t fucking need you then” attitude. she cried less, cursed more, and gave less fucks. 

HEARING teagan’s words, tierney scoffed softly and looked around at the now empty room with a pile of cato’s things in the middle of the floor, causing her to roll her eyes. she watched as teagan extended her pinky to her and she smiled warmly, wrapping her own pinky around her twin’s. “ fucking deal. ” tierney agreed with a laugh, looking over at her twin. “ it’s time for the taylor twins to stop being walked on, and start being treated the way we deserve. ”
