Douglas was the best. So it was only logical that he used his DNA to create the perfect children. He could both carry and father children, so he didn't need an artificial womb. He just gave himself ivf, the embryos made with different combinations of his own gametes and other people's gametes depending on what he wanted their future powers to be.

Adam was made with his egg and Someone else's sperm. Bree was made with his sperm and someone else's egg. Chase was again made with his egg and someone else's sperm.

He lovingly carried them all, hiding them from Donald, who would only just judge him despite him having the same reproductive capabilities as him. After all they were brothers.

Until his water broke in an elevator with Donald. Chase was ready early.

They never called Douglas dad at the same time. Marcus was never addressed at the same time as Douglas.

Marcus also wasn’t raised with the rats at all.

The rats never called Marcus their ‘brother’ on screen at all plus people get ‘adopted’ by their significant other’s’ parents all the time. Family isn’t always linear.

And Marcus’ last name definitely wasn’t registered as Davenport so it could be taken as Marcus taking Chase or whoever’s last name though I prefer Marse.

Plus several people have addressed the issue of why Douglas’ wouldn’t use his own DNA to create a human Marcus even in a universe where Douglas used his own DNA to create the rats.

Creating bionic kids is messed up in itself no matter how Douglas did it.

It's weird how as a whole the "good guys" in the EFCU are red-coded (mighty med & the rats both having red logos), yet individually so many of the good guys are blue-coded and the bad guys are red-coded

In color theory, there theories behind the colors themselves and the ideas they invoke. I think everything makes sense once it’s broken down on color theory level. At least somewhat.

Blue is a color which is known to calm the mind. It’s a tranquil and relaxing color. The color is associated with a bunch of qualities like trust, loyalty, sympathy, tranquility, and rationality.

Red is a color which can signal aggression and power. It can also signal danger. The color is also easy to spot by the eye. There is a reason that red is the color used for stop signs. Red can also represent love and passion. Warm colors typically provide the illusion of warmth.

There is a lot more to color theory than just this. Colors meanings can vary from country to country and culture to culture. For example in some eastern cultures, red is a color of good luck and used in weddings to give the couple good luck rather than a color of danger like in many western countries.

I am not really surprised with the colors used. The red-coded logos I think go back to how red is used in marketing. Let’s take target and Walmart. Walmart with the blue logo wants to evoke feelings of calm in their shoppers while targets with their red logo wants feelings of speed/rush and efficiency in their costumers. The colors in their logos accomplish that. Likely the red in logos on Mighty Med and Lab Rats go back to the same idea rooted in color theory. Red can signal power and it’s easy color to spot. Plus, red is common color used for superhero designs/costumes and logos.

The blue coding of the heroes themselves might go back to using blue as tranquil color along with everything else the color is known for(plus this color is also used a lot in Superhero costumes/designs). While the red coding of the villains I’m guessing has to go with how red can be a very negative color associated with aggression and danger.
