i assumed it was battery strain tbh. bionics probably take a lot of power on top of marcus always running, like leaving your car on 24/7

Yeah I think its battery strain too combined with heat damage. Electronics create a lot of heat & Marcus seems to have a physical skin (which would trap a lot of heat) as opposed to Giselle's longer-lived androids which seem to have a holographic shell instead.

Okay, real talk now. People love to tag male characters in posts about women, but this post is gonna take this seriously. Is there actually a canonically male character you believe is a trans woman? Or at least has made into a trans woman for a fanart or a fanfic? Excluding the ones canonically implied.

The REAL reason Marcus' capsule is a cage (that as far as we know only opens from the outside) is because Marcus kept bothering Douglas at all hours of the day and night. Douglas tried to implement a rule that Marcus couldn't bother him/wake him up between the hours of 1AM and 8AM but then he kept getting woken up anyway by Marcus staring at him 2 inches from his face.

Tbh its really important to me Personally that Marcus never forgives Douglas. A lot of stories act like a character must either forgive their abuser or hate them forever and want them dead. But there's a lot of space between those two extremes. What Douglas did to Marcus was unforgivable and Marcus, a teen who's been denied autonomy and other basic human rights, never would forgive him. And honestly Douglas' redemption arc is better if he learns that not everyone he's wronged will forgive him (nor should they) but that doesn't mean he should stop trying to get better.

My headcanon is that on Caldera, Skylar's people usually have opposite-gender or unisex names, based on the recurring joke that Calderans use Earth words to mean the opposite of what they mean on Earth. Skylar is a unisex name already. She once said that 'Emily' is the 2nd most common name on Caldera (Emily is technically a unisex name if you take into account variations like Aemilius, Emilio, etc.) so I've always headcanoned that as Experion's name (his full name is Emily Exton, he combined it into Experion).
