Merry Christmas!
Happy Father’s Day!
A father’s care is important in life. Father’s provide, teach, and exemplify hard work. They help to raise the next generation to give of themselves and do the best they can. Any man can be a fatherly figure and inspire good in others.
I am thankful to my father who has shown me how to work hard and to serve others. He has been a strength in my life.
I am grateful for other friends in my life who likewise encourage good and help me to do my best.
I am grateful to my Heavenly Father for His gift of fathers. My gift to Christ this week is this drawing to honor fathers.
Mary Anointing the Feet of Christ
Week 4 of 33 weeks of Christmas
“ Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair...”
~ John 12:3, KJV Bible
The Widow’s Mite
“And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
“And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
“For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.”
~ Mark 12:42-44, KJV Bible

“And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
“... For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found....”
~Luke 15:20 and 24, Holy Bible, KJV
Heavenly Father will receive us again with open arms and great joy.
Jesus Christ is The Good Shepherd
Happy Easter!
“That other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.”
~The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ, 3 Nephi 15:17
Jesus Christ is The Good Shepherd that will lead us back home to God’s fold.
Danger lurks beneath the shadows.

Silent Angels: Fear Fighter 9-11
I wanted to post this yesterday, but I wasn’t able to finish it until late last night.
This picture was inspired eight years ago, on the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attack on the Twin Towers in New York on 9-11-2001. On the tenth anniversary, some people were sharing stories about the attack on the radio. One lady was a survivor of the attack and shared her story. I’m sorry, I don’t know the lady’s name nor do I even remember which radio station I hear it on, but the story is just as inspiring nonetheless.
This lady was working in one of the towers on the day of the attack. When she and the other people were evacuating the building, they were going down the stairs. But amidst the hundreds of people rushing down the stairs, a firefighter was running up the stairs.
It touched this lady’s heart to see the courage of this firefighter, and it touched my heart as I heard her story.
I sketched out a simple image of the drawing that day, but I never had finished it. I determined this year to finally finish the drawing.
This is also the first installment of my Silent Angels series. I want to dedicate this series of art to the men and women in our lives that do angelic acts, not looking for any recognition for what they do out of love. These could be firefighters or soldiers that sacrifice their lives in protecting others, a friend that listens to us rant about a hard day, or a random stranger that comes to help change a tire.
Let us not forget the men and women who made tremendous sacrifices for us on that day and following.
