Season 2 PJO. The sea of monsters.
Here it is folks. The long-awaited (not really) critical analysis of the PJO show season 2. Only watching it because my brother gave me the login info, haha. Anyway, here goes.
-I forgave the weird intro with Grover, the tentacle creature, and the random new characters who were looking for the fleece. But why did they have to reveal that Tyson was a cyclops, like IMMEDIATELY?? Words cannot describe how ridiculous this was. Why can't the plot just unfold by itself. This was a major criticism of the last season-- not letting the plot unfold. Just information of what is going to happen given freely to the viewer. Ugh. Just gross. Okay, rant over.
-I enjoyed the scenes in NYC
-Then when the grey sisters taxi pulled up, I got sad. We don't get the dodge ball scene? all the random shit in the beginning of the episode could have been cut and just did the dodgeball scene? sometimes I want to shake rick riordan. I'm like cmon dude, these were YOUR books !!! lol
-Weird relationship energy between A & P. Just let it happen naturally. can't stand forcing that shit.
-What was up with the random appearance from Luke poisoning the tree. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A PLOT TWIST LATER ON
-Low key can't stand annabeth. always trying to shut down the chaos that I CRAVE from percy
-Enjoyed the scenes w/ Percy and Tyson heart to heart.
-The show should straight up be called "Annabeth Chase" and not "Percy Jackson" FFS. I also thought Tantalus in general looked wayyy too cosmetic. Like, why can't we use an actual creepy old guy. Why does it have to be a young guy who is clearly wearing a shit load of makeup to appear old and creepy.
-Where is percy's angst about being Tyson's brother.
-the chariot races were cool. In my head it wasn't as large of a production while reading. But I enjoyed it.
That's enough for now. In general, I have low hopes for the show to improve. If I made a list of every stupid thing they did, or omitted, it would be a LONG list.
