Madoka loved feeling Homura’s hand squeeze hers. It made her feel warm and bubbly on the inside, as if she was finally at home. That’s who Homura was to her. Home.
“Once I worried that you would forget about me.” Madoka admitted. “I was so afraid that when I moved you would meet a girl with blue hair and want to be best friends with her. It was a nightmare, but it felt so real… I think that is probably the one time I was afraid of leaving. I didn’t want to lose you.”
Madoka stopped speaking before she got too blushy. She didn’t want the ravenette to feel bad, as a matter of fact, Madoka hoped Homura would feel quite the opposite. Madoka knew she could tell Homura anything. She was the only person who would never judge her.
“I’m glad you’re here, Homura. You are one of the most important people in my life.”
Madoka’s voice went quiet, but their hands remained intermingled.
Homura’s eyes were gentle as the pinkette admitted to having the same exact worries. Didn’t she realize that Homura could never replace her?... Granted, that’s probably the same thought that Madoka often had.
She moved a little closer to Madoka and offered a soft smile.
“It’s okay. You could never lose me.” She assured her as she took both of the pinette’s hands in hers.
“I’m here now and I’m glad to be here.”
