currently playing with small prints as I work on ideas for a new series of work; physical contact with the images I make continues to be a vital part of my practice of making things. sometimes I think it’s a crutch that makes up for a lack of imagination or prior intentionality to orchestrate some kind of vision of artistic competency. but on the other hand, it also keeps me in touch with play, exploration, surprise and experimentation.
other makers of images and things, I would love to hear about your thoughts on why you do or do not tend to include physical (as opposed to strictly digital or conceptual or organizational etc) work into your practice.
