part one part two part three masterlist
Intimacy is something that you always knew was a special part of a relationship. In the past relationships you were in, none of the guys had ever been able to sleep with you except for one guy, Cedric. He was your first. He really meant everything to you at that time. He made you feel like you were the only one he loved. When he took it, it was your six monthsary and you both had just return to his dorm from a night in Hogsmeade where he bought you a necklace that was his promise to love you forever.
Well, forever was not really forever when you and Cedric had a fall out. You were really heartbroken after the break up because you heard that he had gotten back with his ex, Cho. You promised yourself not to let any guy sleep with you till you knew he was going to be the one.
Until Mattheo, of course.
It was already Monday morning, you just finished packing up your stuff to bring back to Hogwarts. You guys were going back four days before classes start again just to adjust to the environment again. The guys were already stuffing the bags into the car trunk. You and the other girls trudged along the bags out of the room, down the stairs where the guys took over from there. You have not talked to Mattheo since the bathroom. You wonder what it would be like if you talked to him.
He came in from outside after a smoke and you were right at the end of the staircase which was conveniently right beside the door. You made eye contact with the guy and he just nodded slightly at you. Not even stopping to do it. You were so weirded out. You frowned your eyebrows.
Pasny was outside smoking and Astoria was accompanying her. You decided to join them. You rubbed your arm from the cold morning air. All three of you stood in silence.
“Is it weird if a guy doesn’t talk to you after hooking up?” You broke the ice. They turned to face you, shocked that you asked.
“You hooked up?” Pansy asked. You totally forgot that you did not tell anyone that you and Mattheo hooked up. You stuttered, shaking your head. You tried to think about what to say because you obviously cannot say that you had sex with Mattheo knowing he was part of the friend group.
“No, maybe, but it was a long time ago, it wasn’t really a hookup.”
“Some Gryffindor, one year older. Forgot his name.”
“No, I didn’t. I haven’t been with anyone since.. Cedric.” You lied. Pansy told you that it is weird if a guy does not talk to you after hooking up. You nodded, taking her advice. The guys called out to you guys. Pansy flicked her cigarette out and you all went to the two cars. You stood outside the same car that you came here in. Draco asked you to hold on before going in.
Mattheo brushed past you, sitting in the last available seat.
“You’re sitting with Mattheo again. Just like when we came up here.” Draco mentioned. You looked at Draco then at Mattheo. He raised an eyebrow at you. You sigh. You get into the car, adjusting yourself on his lap. He was more comfortable with you know. His hands were on your thighs, it took you back so you pushed his hands off lightly.
“Can we not?” You whispered to him.
You could hear him huff when you said that. Draco drove off, following Tom’s car from behind. Down the mountain and back to school. You leaned forward to rest your head against the headrest of the front seat. It’s going to be a long drive back.
The car stops and you were back at school. You took a nap in the same position for two hours. He did not really touch you during the ride back, except for that one bump where he gripped onto your waist so you would not fly all over the place. He opened the door and you got off his lap almost immediately.
Mattheo noticed the way that you would avoid him and be all weird. When you went to take your bags out, he joined. You sighed of annoyance when he did. He looked over at you then he took your wrist. Bring you to the side of the car. He pushed you against the car, pinning you.
“Why are you acting like I killed your cat?” He bluntly asked. You squirmed in his grip. Asking to be let go. He repeated himself.
“Do arseholes like you always treat girls like this after hooking up?” You bit back at him. He scoffed at your words. Deep down he knew that he did not really handle the after sex well with you that night.
“You’re just sensitive. We shagged, it wasn’t that serious.” He released you from his grip. Leaving you there. You felt tears pricking your eyes so you shut them tight. You returned back to taking your stuff back to the dorm while his words just replayed in your mind.
You make your way up the stairs to your dorm room. You pushed the door open to see Pansy and Astoria already inside. You go back to your side of the dorm, placing your back down on your bed. You decided not to unpack yet and to go find Theo. You went out and down the stairs, luckily he was in the common room.
“Hi.” You sat next to him.
“Can I tell you something but promise me not to do anything about it till I know what I want to do. Also, promise me that you won’t go finding for the person after?”
“You’re scaring me here, darling.”
“Please, just promise me.”
“Okay.” He agreed. You sigh, shutting your eyes for a moment. You open your eyes back and look at Theo. He was looked worried about what was about to come.
“You know how I haven’t been sleeping with anyone since I broke up with Ced, right?”
“Okay so the night that we played spin the bottle, Mattheo landed on me and we kissed. You seemed upset after seeing it so you left. Well after you left, I went in to find you but you weren’t in the living room so I went up to the bathroom. He followed me and we were in there together.”
“Mattheo and I had sex that night.” You let it out so quickly and bluntly. His expression turned a little more serious now. Theo tried to keep calm and composed as you tried to finish your story.
“Earlier when we got back, he dragged me to the side of the car and I asked him about it. He said I was sensitive but you know how I feel about all of this intimacy stuff. Now he isn’t talking to me and I don’t know what to do.” You rambled on, the tears from earlier pricking back at your eyes again.
Theo tried to process this. His hands were balled up into fists but when he saw your tears rolling down your cheek, he pulled you into a hug. Rubbing your back. He was upset at Mattheo more than you because Mattheo also knew how you felt about this intimacy stuff.
You pulled away. Wiping your tears. You leaned against his chest, “I’m sorry.” You sniffled, curling up. His arm was around your shoulder, he circled your shoulder with his fingers.
“Why are you sorry?” He asked.
You shrugged. He told you not to be sorry.
Later in the day, you finally came out of your room after crying yourself into a two hour nap in the dorm. You were going to the kitchen with your two friends, Astoria and Pansy. The entrance was in the castle dungeons near the cellar corridor behind the painting of a fruit bowl.
You guys took some food to bring back to the dorm. The whole way back to the common room you contemplated on whether you should tell them what happened. You had to tell them someday.
They all decided to sit by your bed on the ground, eating whatever you took from the kitchen.
“I have something to tell you guys.” You said, putting down the sandwich you had in your hand. You hesitated to say it but it has to be said. “I had sex with Mattheo back at the cabin.” You spilled it out quick. Astoria’s eyes widened. Pansy looked shocked.
“What—I thought you had that—”
“I know but it just happened.”
“It’s complicated because now he isn’t talking to me.” You picked at your nails. Pansy stood up to move beside you, wrapping her arms around you because she knows about your issues with intimacy. Your hands fiddled anxiously with the necklace. A habit.
Pansy asked if you wanted her to do anything about it. You shook your head. She pulled away from the hug. “Do the guys know?” She looked at you. You shook your head again.
“Except Theo though. I felt bad that I did it in his cabin.” You admitted. Pansy nodded. You also thought of telling Cedric about it because other than Theo and Pansy, he was the one who knew you better than you know yourself.
Your eyes stared into the empty space, fingers still on the charm of your necklace. “I need to tell Cedric.” You abruptly said. Pansy was taken aback, she has not heard that name in a long time.
“I don’t know, it feels right.”
“He’s the only other guy who I’ve done it with.”
“Yes he is but why would it mean that he needs to know.”
“I just think he—I don’t know! It just feels right to tell Cedric.”
“Think about it carefully, do you really want to tell him.”
“I think so, he’s been in my mind ever since Mattheo.” You admitted again. You were not that smart when it came to being in relationships given that you had only been in one.
Pansy told you to just follow your gut and to not regret anything you do. You said you were going to tell Cedric later. You went to write a short letter asking if he was okay to meet at the middle courtyard. He wrote back quite quickly so after eating, you changed and headed out. It was almost near to sunset already.
You made your way to the middle courtyard. You peeked from the hallway to see if Cedric had arrived yet. Fortunately he was so you went over to him. You had a relieved smile on your face when you saw him. A familiar feeling. He greeted you with a side hug. You sat next to him on the stone bench. You shivered as the cold stone touching the back of your legs.
“Cold?” Cedric raised an eyebrow with a look of concern. He was already getting his jacket off his body. Pulling it around you. You mumbled a ‘thank you’. He asked how you have been. You nodded.
“Been better.” You replied shortly. You two sat awkwardly together on the bench but there was also a familiar setting. You turn to him. Asking if he was with anyone nowadays. He told you that he was seeing Cho Chang, that Ravenclaw girl in your year that Harry liked.
Your eyes widened slightly. “Oh, still with her..”
Cedric agreed, guiltily. He moved on to you. “What about you?”
You raised an eyebrow, this is a good way to tell him about it. You brought your legs up and crossed them. You pulled his jacket a little more over yourself like you wanted it to swallow you up.
“I haven’t been dating since we broke up.” You slowly admitted.
“Yep but can I confide in you about something really personal?”
“We’ve dated for almost two years, nothing I haven’t seen or heard.” Hearing him say that you felt more safe with him. You sighed and prepared yourself to say it again.
“I went on a trip up to the mountains with a few friends. You know how you are my first? Well, over the weekend, I did it with Mattheo. I know it might seem too much to tell an ex-boyfriend but you’re the only guy that I have been with and I don’t know what to do about it because when we reached back here, he said something about the whole thing not being that serious.”
Your eyes filled with tears. Your fingers back on the necklace, fiddling with it. “You know how I am with all that intimacy things, I mean it took two weeks for me to even let you hold my hand in public.” You sniffled with a small chuckle. He broke a smile from his upset face.
“I don’t know what to do anymore.” You wiped your tears.
“Do you feel okay though?” Cedric asked.
You nodded. You did not know how to tell him that he was on your mind the whole time after Mattheo. He pulled you into a hug. How you missed being in his arms again.
“Where’s your head at?” You asked.
“I mean, yes I’m upset that he was a dick to you but we’re not dating so there’s no reason to. Maybe just stay clear of his way for now till it dies down?” He reassured. “We better stop this hug before someone gets the wrong idea.” He added.
You pulled away, nodding. Your hand reaches to wipe your tears. He told you that you could always come to him as a friend and that he would be there for you. He offered to walk you back to your common room. You took his offer and you two talked about classes coming up, how much had changed since you two had broken up.
“Thank you for walking me back, Ced.” You smiled.
“No worries, miss talking to you actually.” Cedric ruffled your hair.
“Sorry for dumping all of this on you..” You apologised.
“It’s fine, nice to know that you still trust me.” You smiled and waved goodbye before heading into the double doors. You went down the steps to the common room and straight to your dorm.
Pansy stirred in her sleep, the light from outside hits her eyes. She sits up. Squinting. “You’re back, finally.” She said with a raspy voice. You go to sit on her bed. You crossed your legs and faced her.
“I told Cedric about it..”
“He listened to me rant. Told me to avoid Matt for a while..”
“That Hufflepuff is right, babe.”
“He is.. but I don’t know how to avoid if he is part of the group.” You groaned. Lying down in Pansy’s bed. She scoots to the side to make space for you. She lies beside you.
“Don’t worry so much, I’ll help you.” She turns her head to face you. Smiling. You gave a smile back. You were so thankful that you had Pansy with you or else you would be so lost about what to do. You two talked about basically everything and how you were going to go about with this.
After the whole deep talk with Pansy, you fell asleep in her bed.
Knocks were heard on your dorm room door. Since she was a light sleeper, she jolted away slightly. She rubbed her eyes before going to see who it was. The chain lock was on so the door could only open so far. She glanced at the clock on the wall before seeing who stood before her. It was four in the morning.
She grimaced at him. “Why are you here?”
Mattheo looked drunk out of his mind. His dress shirt was all crumpled and some buttons were open. He had a bottle of firewhiskey in his hand. He tried to push the door opened but the chain restrained his force.
“Don’t make me repeat myself.”
“I haven’t got the time for this.” Mattheo took a swig of the alcohol in his hand. Pansy knew letting him in is going to be the last thing she was going to do. She glanced into the room where you were sleeping in her bed.
“Don’t act all daft now. That little slut’s been running her mouth all night for all I know.” Mattheo insults you to your best friend. He scoffs, taking a big gulp of his firewhiskey again. Wincing at the burn.
Pansy’s eyes burned into his. She shuts the door, unlatched the chain and goes out the dorm room. Standing with her back to the door, hand on the handle. “Touch this door even once more and I swear I’ll hex you into the next decade.” She threatened.
“And watch your fucking words when you talk about her.” She added. Mattheo smirked. “You’re git, you know that.” She bit back.
Mattheo rolled his eyes, “I don’t care what foul name you want to call me. Let me speak to her.” He dismissed her insults. Towering over the girl in her pajamas at the hallway.
“That’s a load of bull, Parkinson.”
“And if it is, what would you do?” She tested him. He growled. They just had a staring contest outside the door till Theo came to bring Mattheo back to their room. Mattheo threatened to break the door down just to talk to you.
Theo steps in. “No need for any door breaking. Let’s go, Matt.” He tries to grab the firewhiskey away from Mattheo’s hand. He pulls the bottle to his lips, taking another big gulp that bruns the back of his throat.
“I’ll tell her you were here causing distress.” Pansy smirked.
“And a good morning to you too, Riddle.” Pansy opens the door, heading back into the room. She slides the chain and locks the door again. She retreats back to the bed, you stirred in your sleep.
“Who was that?” You groggily asked.
“No one. Just a drunk guy.” Pansy brushed it off. You fell back asleep before you even heard here finish her sentence.
When you woke up, it was probably eleven in the morning. Just about to hit noon. You sat up in bed. Hair tussled. Pansy just walked into the room. You turned your head while rubbing your eye.
“Great, you’re awake.” Pansy smiled.
“Jeez.. how long was I out?” You stretched, yawning. You pulled the covers off your body and stood up. She heads to the bathroom that one of their other dorm mates was just coming out of.
You followed. You brushed your hair with your fingers and tied it up into a messy bun. You grabbed your toothbrush and go about your morning routine while Pansy sat on the sink counter.
“Mattheo came by.” She blurted. You spat the foamy toothpaste into the sink. Eyes widened. Gripping the toothbrush.
“Early in the fucking morning. He was knocking on the door, drunk asking for you before calling you a slut which I kinda gave him a piece of my mind.” Pansy goes on.
The part that hurts is that he called you a slut when he was the only other person besides Cedric that you had sex with. You shut your eyes and sighed before opening them.
“What the actual fuck.” That was all you could say. You gargled and headed into the shower.
After getting ready, Pansy told you that Daphne wanted to meet at the Great Hall to just hang out. They made their way down. Once you left the common room, it was slightly less chilly than inside. You pushed your wand into the back pocket of your jeans. You pulled your hands into your sleeved to warm up.
At the Great Hall, you lot just sat around talking about the last day before classes start and if they should throw a party in the dungeons. They started planning while you were zoning out, thinking about what Mattheo said about you. Your head resting on your hand.
Three hours into the hang out session, shouting and cheering outside the Great Hall was what got you out of your head. The others were getting out of their seats and walking out, you followed and pushed through the crowd when you heard it was Cedric fighting some Slytherin.
You made it to the front and froze. Cedric and Mattheo. On Cedric’s side, Cho was trying to push through the crowd and pull Cedric off Mattheo. He looked up at you and back at Mattheo before taking a second look.
“Wait..” Cedric stopped the punches. Looking at you. He lets go of Mattheo’s collar. The two guys stared at you. You looked at the both of them in disappointment. Cho goes to Cedric. Checking if he was okay but he was frozen.
You glanced at Mattheo. “Why?”
That was all you could say. You sighed.
“You really think I started this?” Mattheo asked, spitting the blood in his mouth out to the side. You tried to get a word out. You gave up, pushing out of the crowd. Storming off. You could feel the eyes of the crowd.
Pansy got rid of the other people, “Show’s over, move along twats.” She shooed away everyone. Cedric was shouting for you as you walked away. Mattheo could only scoff at his pathetic attempt to get you to come back.
“Cedric, no..” Cho warned.
“Ced, please! Do not go after her.” Cho begged as her boyfriend stood up, going after his ex. Cho was in tears, going in the opposite end of the hallway. Mattheo stood up, brushing himself off. He knew running after you would also result in him bumping into Cedric.
Your legs gave up when you got to the Great Lake. You catch your breath and Cedric caught up to you. “Let me explain please.” He pants. You shook your head. He gets closer to you, you moved away and suddenly his hands were on each sides of your face.
“Listen to me first, please. You can go about hitting me later.”
“Fine.” You replied, he asked for you to calm down. He moved you to the big rock so you could sit and catch your breath. He explains everything.
Telling you about how he ran into Mattheo in the hallway. Cedric confronted him nicely about the situation and he got defensive. He really did not say who three the first punch so you did not know who to blame.
“Can you let me make it up to you?” Cedric asked.
“Let me walk you back to your common room.”
“Fine.” Your one word answers made him frown but he accepted it. You stood up and you two walked in silence to the dungeon. On the walk there, you could see that he kept trying to start conversations with you but you brushed it off because you were still upset about what happened.
Reaching in front of the door, the both of you stop in your tracks. He apologised again and you nodded. “I’m again really sorry, I hope you can forgive me.” He had a hand on your shoulder. You nodded saying you forgive him. He watched you go in and you went down the stairs to the common room.
You sat in one of the alcoves, a blanket that you accio-ed from the couch. Chair turned to face the Black Lake, seeing the creatures and fish in the water. The water’s shadow etched on your face. You brought your knees up onto the chair. Your head rests against your knees.
You thought to yourself, if Mattheo had not kissed you inn the dare none of this would even happen. Why did you have to give in to him. You felt disgusted in yourself for letting him touch you.
You heard chatter in the background. You peeking from the side of the chair. It was Pansy, Daphne and Astoria. They joined you in the alcove.
“You okay, darling?” Astoria asked.
You nodded and smiled weakly. “It’s all messed up.”
Pansy was the most furious out of all of them. She threatened to hex Mattheo which made you let out a small laugh. Progress. Pansy thought.
“I’m in a weird spot, I don’t know who started it. I certainly do not want to talk to Matt yet and I talked to Cedric before you three arrived.”
“You what?” Pansy narrowed her eyes.
“Yeah, he followed me to the Great Lake and apologised. He walked me back to make it up to me.”
“Anyways even if you don’t want to, we’re going to have dinner together so… you’d still have to face him then. We need this.” Pansy said sternly. You groaned knowing you cannot fight back.
Hours later, you were in bed reading when your owl tapped its beak on the window. There was a letter. You took it from its mouth and opened it. Cedric asked if they could meet again at the clock tower courtyard after 8. You folded it back and left it on your nightstand.
Pansy walked into the room, asking you to get ready for dinner. You changed again. You slipped into something more comfier, a jumper and dark blue cotton pants. You put your hair up and hid your wand in the waist band of your pants before going out of the room.
The other girls were waiting in the common room for you. When you made your way down, you all head up the stairs to exit the common room. The walk to the Great Hall was painfully quiet as you were never this gloomy and the group always felt better when you were all happy and peaceful.
The guys were sitting down, unpacking food. All the girls joined them and waited for them to open everything. “Food sent with love from Blaise’s mom.” Theo smirked. The group sit around the table. One by one, everyone started to take things from the center onto their own plate.
You looked around the table, finding Mattheo. He was not at the table. Pansy nudged your arm with her elbow. Raising an eyebrow at you. “He’s not here.” You whispered.
“Exactly, so why aren’t you eating? You love Mrs Zabini’s cooking.” Pansy noticed. You pushed your empty plate forward with two fingers. Shaking your head.
“Haven’t worked up an appetite yet. I think I’m going to go on a walk for a while. Save me something light for when I get back?” You asked. She sighs before letting you go. You stood up from the bench and walked out. You were wondering where Mattheo was.
Mattheo was at the Astronomy Tower, smoking his whole pack like his lungs are not already covered in tar while sketching on parchment that he had in his pocket. He snuck up there after that fight with Cedric which made him feel like more of a prick than he already was. He could not believe that you would tell Cedric out of all people about it.
It made him feel that throbbing sensation on his chest. Yes, it was fucked up that he did not care to even ask how you were the morning after but how could you tell your ex about it? He wanted you to come to him and tell him he was being an arsehole without him telling you to do so. His cuts and wounds were still fresh. He avoided touching them. The cigarettes kind of helped with the pain a little.
Back at ground level, you were at the clock tower courtyard. Your arms wrapped around your shoulders while waiting for Cedric. He looked around, hair disheveled. He waved at you and you went up to him. There was a smile on your face.
“So why’d you asked to meet here?”
“Cho. She kind of went off on me after I went after you.” He explained. Your eyes widened. Apologising instantly. He shook his head. “No, no.. none of that was your fault. I was the one that went after you.” He added.
“She asked for a break just for the time being.”
“Oh. H-how are you then?”
Cedric shrugged, “Been better.”
You nodded awkwardly, knowing you were part of the cause. You wanted to apologise again. Force of habit. The both of you sat in silence before he broke it. Asking if she would like go to Hogsmeade tomorrow at noon. She thought about it before agreeing.
“Take it as an apology, I’ll let you buy as many sweets as you want.” He smiled. You chuckled softly. He was always the same. When you two were together, every time he messed up he would offer to bring you to Hogsmeade and have a shopping spree on his name.
“Still the same I see.” You riskily mentioned.
“If it takes hundreds of Fizzing Whizbees for you to forgive me, so be it. I’ll be willing to buy a whole crate.” He was very persistent about it. Your cheeks heated up when he mentioned Fizzing Whizbees because they were your favourite and still are.
“You remember.” You smiled widely.
He nudges your shoulder with his and you laughed. You two soaked up the familiar silence between the both of you. He turned and asked a very dangerous question.
“Do you think that we would be married by the time you graduate if we hadn’t broken up?” He looked at you. Your ears turned red. You shrugged, you would like to hope that you did.
“Maybe, if we were still together.”
“Either ways, I want whatever is best for you. Even if it means not having me around.” He planted a small kiss on your forehead. You scooted closer to him. He had an arm around you. Your head leans against his shoulder.
“Same goes for me, Ced.” You muttered.
Hours later, he would send you back to the common room again. This time, your hands were interlocked. Swinging lightly as they walk down the halls. The both of you walked down the flight of stairs and finally reaching the entrance of the Slytherin Common Room. He planted another kiss on your forehead before pulling you into a hug, a signature Cedric goodbye when you two were together.
“Don’t forget to meet me by the entrance around noon if you’re up for the Hogsmeade trip.” He reminded. You nodded before pulling away from the hug.
“Wouldn’t miss a chance to empty your pockets.” You teased before chuckling. He poked your side before seeing you off. You walked down to the common room and straight to your dorm. You opened the door quietly, head peeking in first to see if anyone was awake.
Almost everyone was asleep. It was only Pansy who was awake because she was smoking. Your eyes widened to see that someone was awake. She raised an eyebrow at you.
“I saved you some food but you didn’t show so Theo took it.”
“It’s all good.” You brushed it off. A smile creeping onto your lips. She narrowed her eyes at you while taking a drag from her cigarette. She exhales the smoke, putting her legs down from her desk.
“Who are you and what have you done to my sad, gloomy best friend?” Pansy asked, earning an eye roll from you. You leaned against her desk.
“I went to meet Cedric again.” You smiled widely. She groans knowing where this was going. She puts her short cigarette bud out and sat on her bed. You trailed her from behind. You sat beside her, sitting with one leg off the bed.
“Basically, he asked if we could talk and he told me that him and Cho were going on a break. Obviously I felt bad at first but he randomly offered to bring me to Hogsmeade tomorrow to apologise for fighting with Mattheo.” You rambled. “And also he randomly talked about us in the past and he did that forehead kiss thing that makes me weak in the knees like it used to.”
“Hold your horses babe, kiss your forehead?” She repeated.
You could not help but let out a small squeal. “I know right?” You grinned. You were a hopeless romantic. It’s so easy for you to fall in love and it’s also easy to fall in love with you.
“He did this while being on a break with his girlfriend.”
“Okay when you put it like that..” You slouched with a pout on your face. “To be fair, he initiated it not me. So it’s not like he’s cheating.. right?” You had a winced look on your face.
Pansy shrugged. You groaned. Face into the bed. “It’s bad, isn’t it?” You truthfully asked. She falls back onto her bed, hands behind her head. “Yep.” Pansy replied, popping the ‘p’. You spent an hour asking her about what to do because you have avoided Mattheo the whole day and he had not been seen this whole day since the fight.
While listing all the good and bad things about both guys, a knock was made on the door. You stopped and headed to the door. The chain was on so you could not pull the door all the way. Mattheo stood there, eye bags and everything. Smelling of cigarette and parchment.
“Can I come in?” He straightforwardly asked.
You looked at Pansy. She mouthed, asking who was at the door. You mouthed back that it was Mattheo. She face palmed with no sound. You turned your attention back to him.
“Who’s awake?” Mattheo questioned.
“Okay.. so let me in?” He asked again, this guy has never said please even once in his life. You nodded, shutting the door. You signalled for Pansy to pretend to be asleep. She hides in her covers. You slide the chain out and opened the door.
He stood frozen, waiting for you to say he could come in. Your eyes scanned his face. Busted lip, cut on his nose, bruised eye. “Come in then.” You said it. You kept glancing at Pansy’s bed where she was pretending to be asleep.
“You’re still hurt.” You mentioned.
“Oh really? Uh huh.. didn’t notice.” He agreed with no emotion. Quite irritating. You rolled your eyes internally and pulled his hand toward the bathroom. You kept the door half closed, just incase. Pansy would stop pretending she was asleep when you were in the bathroom with Mattheo.
You asked him to wait in there while you go grab something from your bedside table. You grabbed the Essence of Dittany bottle and went to quickly tell Pansy to look out for you. She nodded.
You made your way back to the bathroom, hopping on the sink counter. He stood in front of you. “Feels familiar.” He muttered. You were ick-ed out.
“Don’t remind me.” You mumbled under your breath as you used the dropper to cover his cuts with Dittany. He winced at the feeling. “Don’t move.” You held him tight.
“Well it fucking hurts.” He cursed.
“Good, you got yourself into this mess.”
“Now you know how I feel, Mattheo.” You replied. You pasted a plaster on his nose. You used a Bruisewort Balm on his eye which made the bruise lighter. His fingers drummed the counter space on each sides of you.
You carefully spread the ointment. The silence was deafening and it was killing Mattheo. “I didn’t mean to start a fight.” He muttered. Your focus was on his eye and not what he was saying.
“Mhm, sure you didn’t.” You replied.
“You didn’t mean to call me a slut too?” You bluntly mentioned.
“I was drunk.” He defended himself. You scoffed, rolling your eyes at him. You were done playing nurse so you washed your hands in the sink. You pulled out a drawer, taking a bottle of pills out.
You placed one in your palm before placing it back in its home. He raised an eyebrow. “You trying to drug me now?” He asked.
“It’s for the pain, Matt.” You placed it in his palm. He dry swallowed the pill. “It’s a little drowsy so go straight back to your dorm.” You sternly demanded. He salutes you and you wanted to smack the shit out of him right there and then.
Mattheo thought this is a time to be cheeky. “Or maybe I’ll sleep with you tonight so you won’t have to worry about me getting to bed safely.”
You froze. You and him in the same bed. Has never happened and you prayed will never ever happen. “What do you think, princess?” The pet name made your knees weak. They almost buckled as you squeezed your thighs tight. You told yourself repeatedly to not give in to his pressure.
His hand cupped your jaw. His eyes stared into yours. You rolled yours. You moved off the sink counter. “You have to be quiet.” You caved. The both of you exited the bathroom and to your bed which looked small for two people even. He pulled his jumper off.
“Why are you taking it off?” You mouthed at him.
“Because I don’t sleep with a shirt on.” He whispered back with a wink. You slide into your bed and he got into the other side. You two were facing each other. He patted his chest, motioning for you to rest your head on him.
You moved your head against his bare chest. His hand wraps around you, circling your hipbone. Your legs entangles with his. You looked up at him, eyes growing heavy. He leans down to peck your lips then once more. You shy away. This was already too much. Too out of your comfort zone with a guy you are not even dating.
The next morning, you woke up to an empty bed. Typical, you thought. Today was the day that Cedric wanted to bring you out to Hogsmeade for that apology. You got ready because it was already 11 and he told you to meet at noon.
You put on brown plaid skirt, a button up and a white knitted jumper over it. You also wore black tights with leg warmers and thigh high boots. You make your way to the entrance of the school where you see Cedric already waiting for you. You sped up and rushed to him with a big smile.
“You’re looking pretty today.”
“Thank you.” Your cheeks heated up. He offered his arm and you two made your way out of the castle to Hogsmeade. The walk there was chilly and he kept the conversation going. Making you laugh and everything. Bringing you back to when you were still dating him.
When the both of you reached, he suggested to get a meal first so you would not be hungry. You walk into The Three Broomsticks and sat down. He went to order.
“I didn’t even get to tell you what I wanted.” You chuckle.
“No need to. You order the same thing every time. I hope I was right.” He said confidently. You smiled. Trusting him because you would order your favourite meal here.
After brunch, you went straight to Honeydukes. You head for the Fizzing Whizbees and filled your basket with them. He was holding it of course. He sneaked some chocolate frogs and Bertie Botts Every Flavoured beans into the basket.
“Ced, are you sure?” You turned to him with rock candy in your hand. He nodded. Taking the candy out of your hands and into the basket.
“Yep, my treat.” He smiled. You grinned and he went t to go pay for the rest. Next stop was Weasleys Wizard Wheezes to visit the twins then onto Zonko’s to look at the new stuff they had before landing in Gladrags WizardWears to thrift for new clothes.
You got new tops and pants along with some dresses. You looked at the table spread that was filled with trinkets and jewellery. You felt a little guilty for spending his money. “Are you sure I can get this much?” You asked again while looking at another top.
“If you couldn’t, I wouldn’t have offered.” He reassures.
“Okay, that’s all I’m getting. Thank you Ced.” You thanked him as you followed him to the counter to pay. He held all the bags. You two make your way back to the castle. On the way back, you kept thanking Cedric for this shopping spree. Your hands brushed against each other, his pinky sticks out and hooked around your pinky then his hand interlocked with yours.
You looked up at him, he smiles and you blushed. You know might be wrong because he was on a break with Cho but he was the one to make a move first and not you. He brings you back to the dungeons right outside the Slytherin Common Room. He stood in front of you, pushing your hair behind your ear.
“Thank you for today.” You smile.
“Thank you for letting me bring you out.” He grinned. Bring his thumb and index finger to squeeze your cheek. You chuckled. He leans down to kiss your forehead, making you shy again. You tiptoed to plant a kiss on his cheek.
You said your goodbyes again as he watched you go through the door. You made your way back to your dorm to see the door open and a worried Daphne standing in the hallway. There was a lot of shouting in the room. Your eyebrows furrowed when your eyes met Daphne’s.
“Hey, uhh.. Pansy.. She’s back!” She calls for Pansy who was in the room. You walked cautiously to Daphne. Head peeking into their dorm room. Your bed was all messed up and Mattheo was in there. Pansy is shouting back at the agitated guy who was shouting back at her.
Pansy’s eyes met yours which made Mattheo turn his head too. He was fuming. He storms towards you, you tried to take a step back when your back hits the wall. He towers over you.
“You just like to be an attention whore, don’t you?”
“Don’t fucking act all dumb.”
“Don’t fucking tell me to calm down! Were you with Cedric last night?” He stared into your eyes. You tried to get a word out of your mouth. “You were, weren’t you?” He asked again.
“Was that when he asked you out to Hogsmeade?”
You try to explain but he just look away every time. “See you aren’t even listening to what I’m saying so why do I bother?” You were getting frustrated at his attitude. When you were upset, tears pool in your eyes.
“Why should I? I didn’t know that someone who has so called ‘intimacy issues’ can play with two guys at once. Maybe I shouldn’t have fucked you.” Mattheo spat. A tear falls down your cheek and Pansy pushed him away from you. Your heart fell into your stomach at the last sentences.
“That’s enough out of you before I hex you into next week, Riddle.” Pansy grits her teeth. “Fix yourself before I fix you.” She threatened. Mattheo walked off. Pansy pulls you into a hug. The bags of stuff you bought with Cedric hits the ground. You sob into her shoulder.
“Let’s freshen up, okay?” Pansy suggested. You nodded and sniffled as she picked the bag up. You walked into your room, seeing your bedsheets all over the floor. You went to change into comfier clothes and then Pansy helped you pick your sheets up and back on your mattress.
You kneeled down to pick your pillows up and suddenly your eyes get watery, you start sobbing on the floor again. She rushes to your side, kneeling beside you. Pulling you into another hug with her hands rubbing your back.
“He’s not worth your tears.”
“He does the most foulest things and I keep going back.” You sniffled. You wondered why you always forgave him time after time when you had someone better who might be waiting for you.
